I have the Canadian S7 Edge, which iirc is the Exynos version, and I'm wanting to use root/xposed/etc, so flashing a custom rom seems the way to go, especially as I want Nougat, and we're still on Marshmallow here. This is, I've heard that Gear VR/Oculus stuff doesn't work on a lot of custom roms, and I don't want to lose that functionality either. Which roms are the ones I should be trying?

I have a S7 Edge Duos G935FD up-to date with stock ROM and I want to put on it a S8 custom ROM, stable (and with better battery life than the stock S7 Edge - if possible).
I'm not much into re-flashing so looking for something to install and forget, if you know what I'm talking about.
I know there are several ROMs out there but not sure which one I should go for and as I explained I'm not into a lot of experimenting.
Any advice appreciated.
Please bear in mind:
- I have done flashing in the past, but mostly for Windows Phone (Samsung: Focus, Ativ S), not Android.
- This is my first post here so apologies if this has been discussed, just point me in the right direction please.

i am using this stock rom on S7 edge i am not sure which version of s7 edge is this mobile as the back glass is changed and this rom is installed and this rom is very laggy on s7 edge so any recommendations on which stock rom should i use to speed up my phone and to make it work lag free.
also i want to know
every time i search for a stock rom i find XAA,XAS AIO, and BST versions , what is the difference between them ?

I am using the Galaxy S7 Edge model. I bought it when it first came out and it stayed in the closet for a long time. Now I have decided to switch to this phone again. I've been far away from using Xiaomi for a long time. What would you recommend as kernel and rom for this phone. The model I use is the 935F model.

i tried a few ones, and finally i´ve sticked with LineageOS 18.1 for S7 Edge Exynos and never look back !
