I bought a 64GB Chinese version 2 days ago. It has call recording option in the rom. Phone is original. Not rooted.

Call recorder by Skvalex in the app store works fine.
No call recorder work with Huawei mate 8 64GB version. I 'm using the phone and tried many app but not succeed yet

Unless you stay on b180 or b200 software. If you upgrade to b320 then you won't be able to record the other side. I have a Mate 64gb dual sim. Stay on any software up to b200

The solution is back - Boldbeast Recorder V8.7.
We'll release V8.7 within several days. This seem like an old update. I remember the change log..
Next update I hope is a performance update, I have had no problem with stability.

Guys, I have received the same update yesterday. No much change the phone looks the same in all aspects.
Any idea y just the international version received the update ?
A little scared not to receive LP...
Mine updated day before yesterday to this version. I think the sound is more loud now and clear. But I am having another problem after this update specially in Facebook. The fonts are strange and not readable. Only some English fonts are converted to some haphazard font which is not understandable. Hope somebody could help. I have opened a new thread for that.

I got this update yesterday.. No noticeable changes so far.. Heard LP is now officially rolling out in Europe for MT7-TL9 version.

I could think of a few reasons, but the biggest would be that 5.1 brings native dual SIM support, and Huawei would hopefully want to take advantage of that with the TL10 - not necessary for TL9.
Be patient. There is a thread here about the beta, and things are looking good.

I got mate 8 (Chinese version) about a week ago and it's an amazing device but it has a major issue with receiving notifications!!! Having an amazing phone with such major issue is like having a BMW with Toyota engine!!! Has anyone find any solution to this issue?
From what I belive. This is simply what I belive. That because China don't really allow anything other than their China region app. The notification file for anything other than that might not work. Assuming if you own the international version(English ). Notification might work.

We did that and still no solution
There's many problem with push notification on the last version of android (6) .
Owner of nexus 6P are in the same boat !
I have the mate 8 with 64 giga and all is working great except some bloatware AND ... the push notification when the screen is off.
I have change many settings but no solution (search in google with android 6 and doze problem)
in that case i guess theres nothing left to do but wait for an android update and/or EMUI update

after rooting just uninstall phone manger apk and it will be fixed with receiving notifications like my old p8max
phone manager is crap app just holding receiving notifications all the time
Don't uninstall phone manager!
Just change the Doze settings to an interval that you are happy with for receiving notifications. You have to root to do that, too, though. But you will save more power this way.

None. I have a L29 that was given to CES press. There are some floating around on eBay.
Ever since seeing the Mate 7 and liking it's design I wanted it but not all lte radios were present for ATT and it was a no go.... Now I have a 6p and heading to the Mate 8. I hope I'm not making a mistake. I love the ability to flash a plethora of different Roms but the Mate 8 has a lot of features that some aosp roms have( swipe on right to get quick settings and double tap to wake). I love the screen to body ratio and battery and sd slot of the Mate 8. The speaker at the bottom and 1080p aren't biggies for me. Development seems to be at a snail's pace but I hope it picks up a little.
I actually had a Mate 2 that really wasn't bad.

The speaker is really good, the battery epic, you'll miss the camera big time and I think stock will be the best for a while.

Picture quality isn't extremely high on my list. As long as it is good, I'll be fine. I must say the 6p has great low light capabilities but I don't take many pics in the dark.

Hi,
You can change your phone, for me the mate 8 it's the best phone of the world.
I had the s6 edge+, the note 5 and many of best phone but the mate 8 has no equivalent. I love the big screen, his power, his battery, his style... simply, I love everything on this phone
Just changed myself from 6P and have no regrets.
Mate 8 is better in every way except camera.

Haven't found this yet. Would very much like it though because I'm used to it from my G4 and the unlocking using the fingerprint scanner is not my thing at all :good:
ull need to manually enable this on earlier roms via build.prop whereas more recent firmwares have that function built in

I thought double tap to wake was problematic and produced phone restarts and other weird behaviors. Did they fix it?
in earlier roms that was definitely the case. no idea about the functionality on more current firmwares, i dont really use that feature, hurts battery life

Mine is not working. I can't even beam with another Mate 8. I have L29C636B321.
I am on L29C636B563 now!
NFC seems to be working in relation to "Share" + "Huawei Beam" to another Mate 8 with a slightly different F/W, that one a C185B560...
