[Q] Samsung Galaxy SIII at AT&T?

Hello all,
I was just wondering when the expected release date of the SIII on AT&T in the US was. I know there has been very little, if any, official word on the subject, but I am sure the experts here could make an accurate assumption for release.

Wouldn't expect any specific date confirmation for a couple weeks. Im thinking last week of June hopefully. Possibly price ranges of $199-$399 respectively buuuuuuuut thats just my guess hahaha

If anyone hears anyting post it up.

I was talking to a rep the other day from AT&T, he googled it when I asked him when the launch date was. Needless to say, I'll believe it when I see it....too much misinfo going around.

He did...I laughed. It was clear that he had no clue so I didn't even bother.

i also heard this from a AT&T store rep who just had a Samsung rep in the store who said the 28th

im going to a att store at 9am see what they have but i remember not preordering the iphone 4 and it was in the store on launch day while my buddy preordered his and he had to wait a week,we will see in 45 minutes.

They don't have them. My ATT rep called just to let me know they aren't available yet.

Oxymoron isn't the word you were looking for.
Anyway, he let me listen to some of the "class" they went through (he was allowed to record it). It was basically a "how to market the sgs3" seminar.
The main point I cared about, 28th was the day my local store will begin sales.

While the 28th is very unfortunate there really isn't anything we can do about it. I wish they would of let people who wanted "no commitment" have the ability to pre-order. I wouldn't be in this predicament, having to wait to the 28th, if that were the case.

My AT&T local store manager said, very confidently, that they will go on sale Monday, June 25th. Who knows?? I'm just amazed at how different the information is from one store to the next.

Damn...still seems like pre-order is the only way to go. Sounds like you will get your phone much faster than just waiting on the store to get shipments.

They do allow you to I called 611 and I pre-ordered at no commitment on the 6/6 and recceived mine yesterday on the 21st....

Just ordered the stealth black for sprint on wirefly for $149....after the deduction for phone trade in through HTC will turn into $49....Can't wait!!!!!!!!

Wirefly sucks with preorders. I learned to stay away from them from the Evo LTE fiasco last year. Hopefully you have better luck.
I'm planning to be on T-Mobile, but not ordering yet because I want to be able to access all their towers.

Evo LTE fiasco...
Basically the launch delay due to shipments being held by US Customs (due to Apple infringement claim). As they were gradually let out, Sprint had first pick at them while third-parties (like Wirefly) were way down on the list. Don't know when their customers finally got them (I ended up cancelling). Learned my lesson! Not saying that you'll have the same experience, but since this is limited quantities, know that Wirefly will get the left-overs.

That is why I put "preordered FOR" and not "preordered FROM". Some people may get it from an AT&T store, some Best Buy, Some from HTC but that part isn't all that relevant.(for this poll).
The poll is also open until the 18th. If Tmobile doesn't offer it before that from them than it is not a pre-order .

Keep the votes coming guys! I know more people preordered than this .

I would be more concerned that you ordered the Black one for Sprint. The black version is not in the SKU system for Best Buy and it is not available directly from Sprint for preorder and they do not have the slightest clue when the black one will be released. (Expect end of May or June)

Just put in a Pre-Order for my One on Sprint. So glad a decent phone was released so I could get rid of my iPhone 5

+1 sprint. Can't wait. Will be the first android phone I've had without replaceable battery. Let's hope there's no SOD issues like we've had in the G2x community :banghead:

It's been there for about a week now.

Its been up since the start of November. Nothing new.

Last time I checked they had the coming soon/ registration page for nexus 6.
Maybe I missed it

No white had been confirmed way before this.

It's been up for almost 2 weeks now. I did the whole notify me, registered with my email so I know for a fact it's been up and it showed both colors.

It's never shown both colors on the T-Mobile site. I've seen that page when it first showed up and it's never had a white option to select.
Even @askdes confirmed no white way back when the phone was first announced.

I could be wrong but I always remember it only having blue listed so that's why I said it's nothing new.

So if you buy the phone outright from t-mobile can you then use it on Verizon?

LOL what a joke. They've been playing customers all this time getting them amped up to come to them for the phone and then they push back the release.
Why is it that every single Nexus release since the original has been a horrible mess of release dates, availability, and price? This is ridiculous. I'm guessing it was Google that pushed it back, since they've also neglected to update other Nexus devices with Android 5.0, but someone needs to come out and actually talk to their customers about this garbage.

Funny thing is, I called a few stores around here (in Cleveland...still a fairly large metropolitan area) and only 2 even knew what a Nexus 6 was...and those two said they hadn't gotten a shipment and were hoping to get one tomorrow.
That was before T-Mo broke the news that they don't know how to run a business.

Hahahah I swear one of the stores didn't know what I am talking about. I said never mind [emoji1] same thing happened to the note 4 the biggest store here had 7 in the store and some had 4. Shame on them. Oh well we can't do anything and just wait

Sprint May 13th

I know Sprint says it will be available in store on the 13th. And guess they are not taking pre-orders? Wonder if it will also be up for sale on HTC.com? Hopefully my M8 will last another week..screen is cracked pretty bad and battery drains in half a day while it sets at my desk at work lol.

Looks like you can only pre-order the Glacial Silver one. I am really hoping they start carrying the Carbon Grey. I really missed the "black" M7 when I jumped to the M8.

I'm going to try and pick one up today maybe..still may wait to find out if the carbon will be available.. However, called a few Sprint stores in KC last night and they said they didn't even have any in-stock and unsure when they will lol.

Was pretty disappointed in this as well. Ordered the silver from htc.com when it first became available this morning.
I suspect they limited colors due to concerns about demand. I imagine that they will eventually make the other colors available if you can wait. I wanted either silver with the white front or gold.

I have been waiting years for this phone from HTC and I am so incredibly disappointed with how they and Sprint have handled this release that I'm probably just going to write both of them off permanently. Pretty obvious even to us non-marketing folks that if you want to move product you need to have product available...and you can't force everyone into one model, or one color, and expect to do well. Sorry HTC and Sprint but my patience has run out and I honestly don't think I care anymore, there are plenty of other great options available.

T-Mobile S8/S8+ Waiting Room!

Since we have a room for Verizon and AT&T let's start one for us on T-Mobile.
Pre-Ordered S8+ in Arctic Silver Shipping 4/20-4/21 but my friend at T-Mobile said they have to list that date by law. It will be out earlier at least on Magenta!

Got invited to unpacked2017, got the Royal treatment and got to meet DJ Koh! Have the S8+ with upgraded promo (adds wireless Harmon headphones and another 256gb SD card) on preorder! My buddy who won the promotion got a free S7, vr gear, and all kinds of other cool stuff, free hotel, over 3k in cash for taxes and spending money, oh and 2 free S8+ on the way! Had one hell of a great time in NYC.

What's the deal with the Gear VR promo? I know all of the major carriers are offering it, but I wasn't clear when I placed my order how it works. Does T-Mobile ship it with the phone, or do we have to send away for it after we get the phone?

Send away for it. But it can all be done online. I've never had an issue in the past.

Is that a good or bad thing? I honestly haven't had a custom ROM or anything in that nature since the G1. So rooting and custom ROM's I consider to be new to me, in that sense would I be able to do that on this phone because I just read that it has its bootloader locked?

God I've been checking the "check status of order" on my tmobile app endlessly hoping they ship it sooner than the 20th haha, impatiently waiting for the s8+ in black

Waiting for my UPS choice email usually know a package is coming long before I get a confirmation!

so i just got off t-mobile chat n they made it sound as if you had to pay 99 bucks for the AKG headphones n sd card .... i could of sworn it was said all galaxy s 8 and s8 plus would come standard with AKG is this not the case or are they miss leading me to try to purchase an additional pair of headphones??
