Update bootloader and radio - Nexus 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Should I update the bootloader and radio on my Nexus 4 running stock Android or will OTA updates take care of that?

Ota updates take care of both.

Not receiving OTAs after downgrade?

Hey guys. I have the nexus 7 mobile and I recently downgraded to 4.4.4 from 5.0.2 (by manually flashing the original factory image from google). While I don't necessarily want to go back to 5.0.2 right now, I don't get any notifications for new system updates being available OTA. If a new android comes up for my device, how do I know it will appear as OTA? Or did I break this function by downgrading?

Nougat software for Verizon PI3?

I see the nougat ota update for PH1, but Verizon released new sotware before I saw that. I don't see any ota nougat updates for PI3. Does anybody have them?
Downgrade to PH1 and install the OTA update from recovery. Worked for me.

PSA new VZW OTA

As Verizon users know a new OTA was pushed yesterday 02/16/17 the update is safe to take if you have a unlocked bootloader you will need to reflash TWRP and root you will lose both after updating
Haven't seen a new OTA on Verizon.
@Shiftydogit, build no. anything?
I'm guessing it is not showing on anyone who manually upgraded with the latest Google OTA files. Not sure about the regular Google update files, but probably checks the system version ether way for 7.1.1, NOF26V and the latest (February) security version.

Its all determined by the IMEI and ICCID. The images from Google and VZW are now identical. I got the OTA push and Im on the latest Google OTAs. They simply don't roll out OTAs to everyone at the same time .
Newer than February security patch 7.1.1 NOF26V? What's the build number? I'm 100% stock on NOF26V and can't pull an OTA at this time.

Have you rerooted? Idk if I have much reason to, since I rooted mostly for tethering, but I'm curious about the reliability in that

NOF26V is the newest OTA. NOF26W is for Rogers. NOF26V was pushed a few weeks ago and includes the February Security patches. I'm assuming those getting it on 2/17 were either late, or part of the 7.1.2 beta program.

[Question] Is there any new bootloader or radio update for the Nexus 6P?

Hi there,
Thanks a lot for jumping into this thread!
I am currently on 7.1.2, to be more specific, it is Pure Nexus 7.1.2 latest build.
I was wondering if I should get Android 8.0 and so far I couldn't find any flashable bootloader update or radio image.
Any ideas? Or there is no change on bootloader or radio. Since I believed that back into the day, every major update actually have new bootloader or radio image.
Cheers!

Yes, both bootloader and radio were updated when going from 7.12 to 8.0. It's easy to flash both of these via fastboot, but why not just update your phone to the latest version of Android? PN is overrated. You will find everything you need in the full official Google image for 8.0, but you may want to wait until Monday the 11th when we may see a security update ( or 8.1) Ganbarou!

Easy way to update Baseband?

So my wife's S7 will not receive OTA updates... She is stuck on 6.0. After a little research it appears that she is not getting the OTA updates because she is still on the G930AUCU1APB4 version
Her phone is not rooted.
Is there a way to force the baseband update?
