It keeps giving me secure boot error 1003 my bootloader is locked that is why I would need stock recovery back

You have to enable oem unlock under developer settings in order for a custom recovery can be used. I had this same problem when I first installed TWRP custom recovery on my leon.

I have the same problem and want to go back to stock recovery. Maybe the app Partition Backup from Play Store could help. I found this app after I flashed twrp. I just need the stock img to try to flash it back to see if it works. Could somebody with stock recovery try the app?

Same here. I need the stock IMG so I can take the ota update. Anyone?

I dont have but i have a twrp img ms345 version but its not the stock recovery u can try flashing your rom again and unlock the oem than install twrp via twrp manager from google play

[Q] Is Flashifying .zip's to Stock rooted KitKat possible?

I wondered if we can install zip files using flashify onto rooted Stock G2 KitKat but it asks which custom recovery I am using. Since we don't have a working custom recovery for KitKat yet. . .
Is it perhaps possible to 1. backup stock recovery using flashify, 2. turn the backup into a recovery.zip, 3. flash a new custom recovery using Goo, 4. boot into custom recovery, 5. flash desired zip, 6. flash backed up recovery.zip, 7. reboot back into stock OS?
EDIT - I may have over thought this, maybe a file manager with root access would be easier.
No. No. No. And no. There is no recovery on kit Kat did you cannot flash anything... yet

according to one of the many threads of creating a recovery or rooting g2 4.4.2 I read that flashify does not work(not sure don't remember, something related to this) also another thing to note is the new bootloader checks the recovery and unless it's 100% stock it will just boot you into fastboot mode(where you can soehow reflash the stock one again so it can boot normally) something around those lines so as to your second question I think not but as I'm not a dev I maybe wrong

Thanks for the quick responses
Sigh. . Yeah I thought of that as soon as I posted that the boot loader is the problem making a boot into custom recovery impossible on the KitKat boot loader.
For what it's worth I tried flashing a .zip with flashify and let it think I had CWM installed. I did NOT flash a custom recovery though and when rebooted it just reboots as normal with nothing flashed.

Unable to use any recoveries other then stock

I have flashed the newer firm ware but when I installed a MM rom exodus and now I wasnt able to use the recovery any more. I have tried flashing other recoveries but the only one that worked is the stock recovery
Look for hybrid twrp 3.0.2.0 and flash. Boot into recovery and reflash image. Should hold then.

Hi, did you relock your bootloader.. Check it's status.
Check Boot Loader Status in developer Mod
After this, go in your fastboot Mod and flash TWRP (Modified) Recovery.
After flashing recovery, you have to boot into recovery as well otherwise your OS will replace your recovery with the STOCK one..
after using this command,
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img

1)flash recovery(custom or stock,as u wish) again by fastboot or flashing app like rashr or flashify.
2)If command is not working then try button combo.FYI button combo is different for custom rom and stock rom.

Did you tried flashing recovery by fastboot?
If that fails also then ,try to root your phone with kingroot and try flashify again.
BTW if you are on KitKat then flash KitKat t.w.r.p first .

If you can access fastboot,
this command will directly load TWRP (Use command in the folder that has kitkat-recovery.img, hope you have downloaded that.)
fastboot boot kitkat-recovery.img
1.First root your device(kingroot apk)2.and download twrp recovery IMG. 3.And install rashr apk download in play store.4.goto file manager and select recovery IMG(or open the zip file select IMG) 5.open with rashr 6.tick to recovery and flash.100% working.but root is must
Dwnld any rooting app and then by using The TWRP app,Or Flashify. U flash TWRP Img 2.7.0 by seven Mars. It's the best img

stock recovery

I have restored my stock backup of the original Moto x style/pure so it's clean no root or mods, can I just go back to stock recovery from twrp ?
I've tried going back to stock using the correct firmware but I end up in a boot loop, I'm hoping I can just abd the official recovery and I'll be able to install the ota

Just download the full rom firmware image that is the same version as you have installed, and extract recovery.img from it, you can flash this with fastboot or TWRP.

Today I got update for my device which is npjs 25.93.14.8 I downloaded this update and after downloading i click on install button a message appears that phone will restart in 10 seconds after restarting the mobile stuck in recovery mode. I again try to restart but again automatically i log into recovery mode. what should I do to install new update.

I think since you are rooted and you tried installing the OTA, the boot.img is replaced by the original one, that breaks the phone if flashed on root. so you can try 2 things:
1. Try flashing the EX kernel again. Flash the Uninstaller 1st and then flash it again and then normal boot from TWRP.. if it loops to TWRP, use point 2 procedure.. if it works...
2. If you are being re-directed to the TWRP. press and hold power + Vol down to go to bootloader and then use normal mode.
Personally, I would flash EX kernel again and then boot...
Hope it helps!
If Nothing helps..Make a Nandroid backup, Boot to bootloader by Power+Vol down. and then flash stock from PC..
u can restore the nandroid backup by Titanium Pro..

Try the steps that abhi212b suggested (this was for users that had TWRP installed and took the March OTA when it was available).
As an aside, OTA updates will only install properly on the stock recovery with a stock system and kernel. Thus you'll have to remove root, flash a stock kernel and stock recovery and then you should be able to install the OTA. If you have a custom logo.bin, you'll have to flash the stock logo.bin too.
Thanku so much.
