I have tried many but few have worked for me. So far I have tried these
- Fifa 2005: The download and install but sends me run the desktop.
- Real footbal 2003: Puts does not work in my country.
- Six guns: is not compatible with mojo Mad Catz
For now I only work Ouya games and mmo game.
Can you give google play games that juegaís you?
A greeting.
Hi,
First question, did you root your MoJo? That should help you access more content on the Playstore.
Second, please refer to this page on Mad catz website. These games are 100% compatible with your CTLR. No need to root to play these games.

I grew up on SNES. Super Mario, Final Fight, and Contra were just a few of my favorites, and most of my collection is still intact—all I have to do is reach under my bed and pull out all my old games. As proof, I present my original Donkey Kong Country cartridge
Now that I'm older, I don't have as much time to play my SNES as I used to. Hell, I barely have time to play my Xbox. Most of the games I play these days are on my Note 2, but no mobile game can compare to those classics collecting dust in my room.
The solution? A happy medium—I found a way to play my SNES games on my Note 2.
Through a site called, you can download all your favorite SNES games. All you have to do is head over to the site (directly from your Note 2) and click on the download box next to your game of choice.
Note: You will need to make sure your device can install third-party applications. To enable them, go to Settings -> Security -> Unknown Sources.
The game will be saved as an APK file, which can then be installed and opened with no other applications or emulators required. Each game has a built-in joystick and buttons, so you can play it with the same controls you would use on your SNES.
I've played through several games and it works pretty well. All of the functionality is there, but you have to wait until you can save the game to exit, or else all of your hard work will be gone and you'll have to start from scratch.
has hundreds of games to choose from, so head on over and find your old favorites!

So when I got my Ouya first thing i Installed was Astro File Manager (which isnt very Gamepad friendly). With Astro I installed, Dead Trigger THD, Sonic Ep.2 THD, Riptide GP THD, Amazon app store, GBA.Emu, and File Manger HD. None of the THD Games work. I got them from my Asus Transformer Prime. The THD apks worked on my Prime but not on my OUYA (most wont even start up, Riptide freezes at title). The Amazon app store and GBA.emu work great, but File Manager wont even start up either.
I mentioning this apps/games because others on XDA/Ouya Forums seem to have them working.
What versions are you using and did you install them differently??
Please let me know. Thanks
Also are any Gameloft games working on the Ouya?
Open Source File Explorer (Game Pad Friendly): http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=39772628
For emulation Retro Arch: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.retroarch&hl=en
As for THD or Gameloft games I doubt any of those will be working anytime soon with out any heavy modification

Actually they're dozen of posts/threads where people have most THD (Tegra HD) games working. Ouya being a tegra 3 device should allow the ones that have controller mapping abilities and that aren't connect to the play store work.
I'm just asking if those people can share what versions of the game apk their using.
Thx
I recieved my MOJO on Jan 3rd, and like all of you I was pretty let down by the amount of Play Store compatible games. Anyways, I've spent hours sideloading games as directed by MadCatz until more games become available. Honestly I've had little luck but I figured I post a thread here where we can share our experiences. The way I've been doing it is backing up my APK's with Titanium, then moving the APK and .obb files over to the MOJO - Installing the APK first, then moving the .obb file(s) before opening it. Keep in mind I own all of these games, I haven't been using a 3rd party to rip the games from the net so I can't tell you if that works.
Successful Apps:
Chaos Rings
Chaos Rings Omega
Blood Sword THD
I've also been trying to use Aptoide now, but haven't gotten any other games to work through that.
The only other games I've tried so far with no avail are:
Modern Combat 4 (Actually loads, Controller Somewhat works but missing some key controls in Gamesmart mode which make it unplayable)
Asphalt 8: Airborne (License Check Fail)
Final Fantasy III (Requires Further Download, Closes)
Chrono Trigger (Requires Further Download, Closes)
Asphalt 7
EDIT:
Having some luck with aptoide, all working great with full controller support! So far here are some successful ones I've gotten to work:
Shadowgun
Expendable Rearmed
Dungeon Hunter 4
ARMA Tactics
Dead on Arrival 2
I am looking for a place to see the list of all android games (+ sideload) working on this nVidia Shield TV. Is there any site or place to see this list?
So I tried some games Angry Birds Go & Table Top Racing and it seems I cant get to play those without mouse. :crying: Any other options out there?
you could install droidmote and play those games with the shield remote if you like
Better is you install the Full Android Rom and you can act with the shield like a normal PC. No need for sideload and with DroidMote or Bluetooth Mouse everything should work
then you need mouse and keyboard
For playing games a mouse is good and you can also use the controller tethered to the mobile or buy a 3rd party controller
nobody has answered to your question, and unfortunately I can't either.
as I'm looking for an answer myself.
some gamepad games will work sideloaded, some wont.
I reckon we should start building a list here.
I start with
Portal
Half life 2
Never Alone - sideloaded (amazing game!)
Riptide GP 2 Sideloaded
Star Wars Knights of the old Republic
(Tried but failed, could be my apks though)
Breakneck - white screen after starting
Injustice Gods among us - black screen, crashes the shield
That's the only you can do by try and error. When I will get my TV back from repair I will also test some games and report here
Never alone, works great sideloaded
Thanks for list mate.
freemulator is compiling a list on the games that work via emulator.

thanks dario14 from Dolphin forums.
Is the Nvidia Play Store different from the Google Play Store?
I just want to be able to use my Google Opinion Rewards to spend on this device that aren't normal Play Games. I don't want to purchase the device if it doesn't work that way.
Edit: I could find nothing on Google either. I just want to know if it is the same store and if I can use my credits to purchase games.

Well, the Google Play Store of the Nvidia console have only Games with Controller Support, but you can Sideload many Games that have controller Support too. If tested over 15 Games via Sideload and all of these Games work very well. Thats it.
Yes it can be a little confusing. I know nothing about Google opinion rewards, if you can redeem them on the Playstore via a web browser I see no reason why they wouldn't work but I can't say for sure having never used them.
If you access the Playstore from the device itself, it does look very limited as it's dedicated to the Android TV apps. If you use a web browser you are accessing the proper Playstore. Now when you view apps or games it will tell you if they are compatible with the SHIELD TV or other devices you have registered. Just because it says it's compatible doesn't mean it truly is though.....e.g Hearthstone is listed as compatible but to play it on the SHIELD TV you need to use a mouse, the controller won't work and obviously your TV screen won't be touch compatible.
I've owned the device for just over a month or so and I have no real problem recommending it to people. It would be nice if there were more on-demand TV apps available alongside Netflix and BBC iPlayer but no doubt they will be added in time.
Hope we've helped some
I use my google opinion rewards to buy games for Nvidia Shield Android TV, yes... all games made for shield , sans the Geforce NOW component , are in fact google play credit consuming resources. YOU can purchase games and non-gaming apps for shield tv using money earned from the survey app.
