S7 frp bypass solution - Samsung Galaxy S7 Guides, News, & Discussion

Is your s7 got stuck on frp? Now someone finally figure it out
It was rootjunky ! You can follow this step in this video
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ChCvMLdyRuw
EDIT : if you dont have the t-mobile variant, you wont have the "upgrade data service plan" option, so you have to entery battery instead of data usage , then select "change power saving location method", select google location history, them select help, now youre in chrome. Then follow like in the video
GOOD LUCK !

UPDATE: You just need to FORCE STOP the "assistant wizzard" then return to "terms & conditions page" and continue setting up the device until getting the "sidebar", put the OTG with the app to get into settings and reset the device.
NOTE: When you force stop and continue with the setup wizard you will get a message that reads something like the "this phone wasnt erased properly", just ignore it.
I confirm that this method works with the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge (935v).

How did you get to the "Enhanced features" option on the Verizon variant? I'm trying with a G930V but the setup interface seems to be different. I cannot select/share text on Google Terms.
Could your explain a little bit how to reach the setup wizard screen on the G930V? Thanks in advance.

This is my problem as well... I can bring up the Terms & Conditions, but there is no way to highlight any text in that popup box to be able to "share" to go any further. There is no "Enhanced Features" link for me to click anywhere, either. On the screen where you click the checkbox to submit diagnostic data, there is a link that says "Learn More", that when clicked only brings up a new popup with the EULA. Also, clicking "Next" on that same page brings up a popup that is "Terms and Conditions" which has Disagree/Agree buttons, or a link for the EULA - which like the "Learn More" link above, brings up the same thing that is not clickable, cannot highlight anything to be able to share, etc. Only Disagree/Agree. Disagree just takes you back, Agree moves you forward to the Checking Connection--->Software Update--->Checking Info page which then leads to the Verify Your account page.
I bought this phone legally from a friend who went back to his Apple phone, did a reset and now am locked out. I have his Gmail account info, which he set up ONLY for this phone (again, an Apple guy) and is used for nothing else. I can log into the Gmail account and change any settings. I try logging into the phone with an old password and I get an incorrect password notice, I try with the new password, and it simply sends me back to the Verify Your account page, as if I had never done anything.
I tried RootJunky's trick of removing internet access, doesn't work anymore.
Obviously, Android engineers/coders are following this stuff and changing code with updates as quickly as they are found... and in the meantime, I have a very expensive brick. Thanks. Because I wanted to buy a used, nearly-new phone for a great price instead of paying the $700 a new one would cost me. Sheisse.... <sigh>

Few very simple questions

Hi, I am new to the forum and new to the phone, and have to say that I really like both.
I got the phone used so I think there are things that were set up that I want to change, but other than that it works great.
I do however have a question..
How do I have the keyboard not pop up by itself when I click in a text field?
to retain the keyboard, but not to have it popup in a text field...just start typing with the regular pull out keyboard. the next time you go to a text field, the keyboard will not popup automatically. (I think that's how they explain it in the phone manual).
otherwise, if you don't like the keyboard, there's a program called nullkeyboard that you can install and select, so that the keyboard just won't popup anymore.
here's the info. I've never used it personally, but i've seen it mentioned a few times on the board.
http://personales.ya.com/beemer/nullkeyboard.htm
nullkeyboard works. it's basically a keyboard which has a graphic so small, it's invisible - if i remember correctly
Awesome. So it remembers what you used last, basically.
Perfect answer.
Oh, now, I do not have internet service setup, probably not going to for a while.... how can I keep the phone from looking for it? It keeps waking it up from power saving.
And it asks me to sign in to a service I dont have
Any help would be great. You have already helped so much.

if you don't internet, you can go to settings --> connections, open up connections, then on the bottom click on advanced. from there click on select networks and put both on "My Work Network."
I can't guarantee that it works, but in my experience i haven't had any issues with trying to connect to the internet when i didn't want to (didn't want to pay for service with my service provider, t-mobile). it does however let you to connect to the internet if you turn on wifi or you are connected through active sync.
Thank you, that was perfect !

Too Many Pattern Attempts. Phone is locked. Can't login with email either.

im running The RC33 version of JFv1.41.
somehow the "too many pattern attempts" popped up and now its asking me to login with my username and password. ive tried my username by itself. i tried [email protected] (which i originally used to register the phone) and i tried [email protected] (which i saw suggested in another post) and none of these work. anyone have any ideas? it just says "too many pattern attempts invalid username or password". i cant log back in.xi can still receive calls but cant get back to the home screen. im running The RC33 version of JFv1.41.
Even if you fail to enter the pattern correctly a few times, the lock should only be temporary. Although it sounds like you got permanently locked out, if I understand correctly... If it still doesn't take the username either, I'd just say reflash your phone with the update.zip
usually it says wait 30 seconds and i can try the unlock pattern again. this is the first time its asked for my email address and password again. it happened last night so i waited until this morning and its still asking for my email address and password and wont login. i guess i'll try reflashing the phone. thanks. will report back.
gmail.com and reset ur pass
i can login to gmail.com with my existing password. i dont think i want to mess with trying to reset my pass.
well its not like the world would end...resetting ur pass is real easy.
This happened to me once before. It had slipped out of its case and ended up being flopped around my backpack. Apparently some things in my backpack attempted to unlock my phone. It gave me the gmail login screen like the OP and wouldn't accept my pass. I ended up pulling the battery, and waiting a few minutes before inserting it again. Worked just fine when I put the battery back in. Of course, neither myself, or the T-mobile rep I called knew what may have caused it.

i reflashed the device after i did a nandroid backup and was able to login with my normal [email protected] account info. the thing is it was set back to factory defaults so all my info was missing (apps, setting, etc.). so that rules out an issue with my gmail account. i tried restoring the nandroid backup that i created before the wipe and reflash but the restore still contains the locked state of the phone and asks for username and pass. looks like my last option would be to try the suggestion posted by haykuro here:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=485988 otherwise i'll have to just start from scratch with the new flash.
Just shut the phone off ............ press and hold the home button, then press the power button until the phone vibrate, keep holding the home button untill you see yellow text on the screen, now open the keyboard and press alt and W at the same time. wait about 30sec then press the home and back button at the same time .... and there it is no more password

cant use this method http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=485988 because phone is locked and dont have access to switch it to USB debugging as step 3 asks for "Step 3. Plug your G1 into your computer (via usb). (Settings -> Application -> Development -> USB Debugging, must be enabled [it is enabled by default in JesusFreke releases i think])" i assume debugging is turned off because when i try adb i get "device not found." i guess im going to have to start fresh and re-install everything. i still have the "locked" image i can restore and try to unlock if anyone has more suggestions. the weird thing is that it doesnt seem like its trying to connect to google servers when i enter my username and password. i hit "sign in" and it doesnt seem to do anything. really really really weird.

I think you should check your apn settings. I am sure that, they are wrong. Are you sure that you have 3g connection established before trying to unlock your phone? At the beggining i have locked my phone like yours, and i was trying a few times to unlock it, before understand that my 3g connection wasn't established. I have to delete ALL APN settings and the reAdd the only one that i need. You can try this too.
I hope this will unlock your phone.

Amount of time you have been screwing with it you could have reset it by now and had all your apps, customizations back long ago. I think thats your best bet..

Too many pattern attempts. (Solved!)

This is the second time I've had this issue so i thought i'd post it.
Basically what happened was my phone was in my pocket and it locked itself out. I had pattern lock enabled so i was getting "Too many pattern attempts. please login" No matter how i put my information in username (by itself), [email protected], [email protected] it wouldn't authenticate me. The first time it happened to me i posted the following thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=485903
No matter what i did i was not able to get in so i just reflashed the phone. After a reflash the authentication worked fine. At that time I was using one of JFs ROMS so i figured that may have been the issue. Recently the problem happened again. This time i was using one of Cyanogens ROMS. This time instead of flashing the phone i followed haykuro's thread to defeat pattern lock:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=485988
once i did those adb commands and rebooted the phone it asked to authenticate again but this time it worked! After it authenticates it will ask you for a new unlock pattern. And you're all set! hopefully it works for you. This is a really annoying problem and im surprised more people aren't having it.
Figured it out without hard reset!!! htc hero " too many pattern attempts"
I figured out a way to get past the screen lock "too many attempts" problem without doing a hard reset on my phone.
I called my Phone (from my Skype account so I could get to the notifications pull down. (couldn't get to home screen or setting from the call) But, I could pull down my notifications. I had a "new email" notification so I clicked on it so that my gmail would open. I then opened an email that had a URL link in it and I clicked on the link. This then opened my browser, which tried to open the link but, it couldn't because, I was still on my Skype call. This prompted the browser to give me an error message that had a Settings button. I clicked on the settings button and was able to turn on my wi-fi and connect to my home network ( I couldn't get to any other settings). At this point I pulled down my notifications again and clicked on the sign in failure notification and this time my phone was able to authenticate my gmail password, through the wi-fi connection.
FYI, I had to go to gmail and change my password as I'd forgotten it. If you don't remember your password you'll have to go through the gmail, I forgot my password/reset process.
If you have email notifications turned off, I think you can send a URL link through with a text message but, I've never done that. Maybe someone else can chime in on how to do that. It's probably pretty simple.
Lemme know if this works for you.

Sounds like one hell of a flaw in the security to me. I actually hope that this gets fixed sometime in the near future.
I had this problem on a HTC Hero I could not run sqlite3 ont he command line for permissions so the second thread did not work for me. But did not want to flash my phone, this is how I solved it.
Take out the battery, OFF button does not work.
Take out the SD card.
Plugin the USB cable to the phone and turn the phone back on.
Download the Android SDK
untar to a new directory
run
./tools/adb -d shell
To get a shell open, you do not need to be root.
You should get a $ prompt, indicating you are not root
Make a call from another phone to the blocked phone and answer the call.
Then run the following command.
$ am start -a android.settings.SETTINGS -n com.android.settings/com.android.settings.Settings
This will bring the Settings window to the front so you can then disable the screen lock, thus proving that the screen lock facility not a security feature.
Screen lock is still useful so you don't make unintentional phone calls.
easier method
You can also enter your username, and in the password field just enter the string "null"

[Q] Can't select other lock options in Screen Lock Menu

Hi guys! First time posting here and would like to request for some assistance regarding my problem with the new Kitkat 4.4.2 update. As the title suggests, ai can't get to select other screen lock options, aside from the "Secured with Password". Swipe, signature and pattern options are greyed out, as shown in the attached pic. How can I reactivate the other passlock options? Entering only the password is too much hassle for me. Thank you very much?
Don't ask me, because I don't know why, but it's like that and that's the way it is.
Sent from my N9005
Ok. Thanks for uplifting my spirits up. Anymore people out there to help with my problem?
cmon, it even tells you why you cant use the other options. cant you even try to google it ?
turned off by administrator, blah blah blah...
Either you have encrypter your phone, or you have exchange mail service or the device admin disabled it(as it already says)

Solved: Wear24 can't initiate text via google assistant

Can anyone send text messages via voice?
I'm using messages and not paying verizon, so via bluetooth.
Try this... (on the watch)
Pull up the google assistant
"send a text message to (person), '_________' "
I'm given two options
X Cancel
> Send
via watch
Error screen with a cloud
Sorry, something went wrong
I cannot get it to send.
What I think is happening is that the watch is trying to send the message via Verizon and their Verizon's Message+ app that I have disabled.
How do I set the default to google's Messages app that I use on both the watch and phone?
Anyone able to get this working?
Any ideas?
FYI yes, I can send a message normally via the watch and the app and yes I can reply to texts when they come in.
This is just an issue when I try to initiate a text via the assistant
OK - got it working for anyone who wants to know
Go to apps and find (simply hit the button)
"SIM Info"
open it
Hit the 3 dots at the bottom
3 dots again for "Advanced"
3 dots a third time for "Stop Using Carrier Profile"
Hit the check mark
You should now be good and ready to send via phone

Things listed is not possible with my wear 2.0 update either. When you click on sim info with newest update, the app gives an error for no connected to verizon(something like this)
Was possible with 1.5 or whatever it ships with.
Again, I am on the SAME version as you.
It works for me.
Have you disabled any apps?
Or, changed any settings that may be causing this error.
Also, try to get the error message in it's entirety.
Maybe a photo?
........
Maybe try turning on or off cellular service.
Maybe try restarting.
Try a few things. It should work, because it works for me.
But, sadly because it works for me and I am on the same version, I'm not the person to help you.
Maybe someone else can chime in.
Good luck
This works for me as well. Please post a screen shot of where you are stuck since the instructions posted earlier worked fine for me.

You may have to do a reset?
Fyi I already have it disabled. (Start vs stop)

Worked!
So this indeed does work - BUT - what if I WANT LTE data on the watch and to be able to send an SMS vis Google Assistant? Any ideas on that? I seems like Assistant is trying to send via the default messaging app and it does not have 'permission' to send via LTE. So either the messaging app would have to be Messages+ or the permission granted. The solution is above my knowledge of Android.

I agree with you. Disabling LTE altogether is NOT a solution but rather figuring out how to reassign the default messaging app may be the answer.
Unable to send text via assistant after following steps
Hi,
Thank you all for this thread! I just got this watch and followed all the steps mentioned. Unfortunately, I'm still unable to send texts via the assistant as it tries and the gives up saying " could not connect to phone". The same can be seen in the notification panel where it shows that it's disconnected from the phone. I've tried everything including a factory reset, deleting carrier and disabling all version apps. Here are some screenshots of my sim-info on my watch. Kindly let me know anything else that you feel that I should try. Thanks!
