I've just bought a 64 GB SanDisk SD card, and I want to move as much data from the internal SD to the external one. What apps or methods work the best?

Ok so I have a mt3g rooted with the latest stable cyanogenmod (6.0 I believe). I currently have a 4gb card in it class 4. I do not use apps2sd, but I do use the install apps to sd feature. The whole sd card is formatted to fat32. I just ordered a 8gb card class 6 online to replace the 4gb I have now since it is becoming full. My question is, can I simply move the data (copy & paste) from the 4gb to the 8gb? Or is there something else I would have to do? Thanks.

I have got lenovo a1-07 2gb version which mean it have a 300mb internal space then a sd space of 2gb (as can be found from model number) then i have inserted 2gb micro sd card
Now i want to merge my sd and removable sd space,is their a way? As their is currently 0kb free on internal sd space due to link2sd and moving apps to sd, so i was thinkin if i could makw use of the external sd card ? If so then replies with or without links will be deeply appreciated

I have Galaxy Note 10.1. I noticed that there's a partition called "sd card" I think this is not the external sdcrd but rather an internal memory partition. Can somebody verify ?

Also, I am looking to buy Sandisk 64Gb micro sdcard to be use on my GN10.1 (SanDisk Ultra 64 GB MicroSDXC Class 10 UHS-1 Memory Card with Adapter (SDSDQU-064G-AFFP-A) ) , does this work on this tablet ?

1. The sd card partition is the internal memory, so if you have a 16 GB note, then you will have a 16 GB "sd card" partition.
2. Works perfectly in mine
3. When you insert it, it gets mounted into "ext sd card" I don't know if it's possible to change that or even why you would want to

Ah another thing I love about this tablet is that all the internal memory full 16gb can be used for apps etc, unlike my previous note phone.
The reason I want to mount external micro sdcard as internal memory sdcard is to save space, I have lots of apps, games on my tab.

It should be noted that you can store stuff on the external sd card but running apps from the external sd card in a non-rooted state is another matter. AFAIK it can't be done.
Thanks for all your replies. So is it better if I root my devices? haven't done any rooting on any of my android devices, so im kinda hesitant. Can you tell me how to root my devices in safest way?
Method 2 from the rooting guide. Don't forget to run triangleaway after to reset your flash counter... All instructions are in the flash guide in developement forum...

First post here, but I have been reading many threads for the past months and I thank everyone for their great help. I have a problem that I can't fix on my own. I have a Team 64GB MicroSDXC Flash Card Model. I use tunesync to synchronize all my itunes music. I have all my titanium backups on my sd card and a few photos. i Have 26.75 GB available but my phone cannot write more on the SD without Freezing and rebooting constantly... It is rooted but I have a stock ROM, and my SD card is format exfat.

I have a Team 32GB card with 27GB of music on it and it's formatted as FAT32 and have had zero problems. If you can, try that format and see if it helps.

Sorry it didn't work.
I have been using 32GB micro SD card in my galaxy S4 with 0 problem so far. Then I bought a Samsung 64 GB micro SD card and did format it to fat32. It stopped working after one day. I removed the old partition and format it again, only 15 out of 64 GM became available. I had a similar problem with another 64 GB micro SD card a month ago.
My personal feeling is that android 4.2.2 does not like 64 GB card regardless of the format type.......
I will continue to use my 32 GB card until getting a new phone with 32 GB internal storage.

Thank you for your answer. Did you try format your Samsung SD to EXFAT? I feel like my Micro SD is fried and is on its last run being write protected. I requested an RMA from Team Group.
Hey guys, I have s7 edge 32gb model with floyd Q v6. I have storage Issue, I don't install a lot of application nor games but my 32gb run out fast
Can I make my Micro Sd as my internal storage, not copy or instal in micro sd but my micro sd as main storage
