Color display z2 - Xperia Z2 General

Hello, sorry for my english
Sony z2 haven t vivid color, but in gallery whit super vivid the color is magnificent.
The question is,there are a mode for use the super vivid modality for all the application?(home launcher, whatsapp, facebook, games ecc)

I use some kernel tweaker (kernel toolkit , ex kernel manager , kernel adiutor , ect.) to adjust saturation . I use a little higher saturation and looks like vivid mode .

I don't think so :-/
the app asks for root when you open but maybe these display settings are editable without root , just try it , install kernel adiutor , is free

It requires root, tweaking with any system settings will most probably require root.

I think with a little changing of the white balance settings you already get a punchy looking display. Why the need for fake over the top colour?
The only thing I don't like is the blacks as they are not pitch black but more grey. If only the Z2 has stronger black...

Use this. You can make your display look as like you want.. But you must have root: http://forum.xda-developers.com/crossdevice-dev/sony/5-x-kcal-module-flashable-t3159869

Are you able to adjust black levels or only colour?

Color, contrast, saturation, hue etc.. Everything u need.. You won't recognize your display as Z2's display after using it..

^ Thanks Dragoss91 & alone_in_dark, I'll give it a try.

Can I flash a kernel on stock ROM?

If so, would you mind telling me which ones have color calibration? Can't stand these washed out colors.

The colors are not washed out, they're actually more accurate than all the amoled displays out there. The Xperia's have washed out displays, trust me. Also, pretty sure you can't. You have to root, switch kernels and then fix the colors through various apps.

Try out Franco kernel, you'll benefit from it, in every way.

Flash faux kernel or Franco and use trickster mod or faux app to control colors and gamma. Faux display app has some awesome presets for colors that really make the colors pop and get rid of the gamma wash out. I cant stand the stock gamma either, too washed out.

Colours on LCD look saturated similarily like the Note 3 or the S4

Does anyone know how to recalibrate the screen in order to prevent it from having colours that are too saturated like the G2?

There is no default way but there might be some third party application in Play Store that can do this but I'm guessing most of them need root.
yeah if you root you can use trickster mod to change the rgb settings

Google or srgb?

Hey People, i was wondering what all of us are using as screen settings and why.
For me srgb looks certainly more accurate but White are yelloish, they look better on Google's calibration settings but then colors are too saturated... So for now i still haven't made my choice. How about you? What do you use?
Well I'm running DU ROM which comes with a custom kernel. To me, stock colors don't pop enough. I left the RGB values alone and simply bumped my saturation to 35. Display looks great at this setting for me. I've tried a hundred different display settings and for me this one looks the best. I use kernel adiutor to adjust my display settings
Thanks mate, still haven't made up my mind as to routine n6p should i need assistance for it.... Take YouTube screens for instance, that red punches Soo much to me
Running custom kernel and I use the same profiles that I used on my N6 to get 6500k.
I'm using screen adjuster +8 on blue
Gives better whites... Anyone tried color screen filter from play store? Might give some more options I think
I use 100% stock screen settings. I like the way Amoled looks. SRGB looks washed out and boring, even if I compare it with my Nexus 5 (2013) screen.

Color saturation without a custom kernel!

The below article was posted on xda labs today specifically for the pixel/pixel 2 devices for color saturation.
I'm personally a big fan of hyper-saturated color profiles. I know some think high saturation is ugly, whole others like myself enjoy a more eye popping color palette.
There's two options discussed in the article. The first is using a terminal with super user permissions to manually change the color saturation on the pixel (0.0-gray to 2.0-max Saturation.) Also listed in the article is a command to set the profiles on boot.
Option two is an app which can change the saturation via a simple slider. I tried both options and both work flawlessly. My display looks much better compared to the stock (in my opinion) washed out color palette.

Correct. Worth it
This is great. Anyone with a colourimetre please mention which setting to use to have as accurate calibration as possible on the Marlin. Currently using the sRGB mode, which has good colour accuracy but the whitepoint is off and don't want to go custom kernel route really.

I too would be interested in this. I, unfortunately, don't have a rooted Pixel XL anymore. I also don't have a Colourimetre. I do miss my color profile though. I tried to replicate my Nexus 5X's display (which we all know is very good out of the box), but I have no idea how accurate it really is.

[APP][ROOT] Sa2ration - Increase the saturation of your display

https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-5-pro/themes/app-sa2ration-t3845851/amp/
I stumbled upon this today while I was looking for ways to adjust the contrast and colors on the MI 9. This app was made by a Pixel user who was fed up with washed out colors and a dull color display. Just passing it on for anyone who would like to make the colors pop on their devices and have a way more vibrant look to things.
I recommend starting at 120 and working your way up to 130 to find what is pleasing to the eye.
Enjoy!
This truly is a great app! You are right, the range from 1.20 till 1.30 feels the best! Thnx for sharing mate

It really changes everything! Until we get color control with a kernel this is our best bet. I just wish it stuck after a reboot.
How do you set colors in MI rom with this app in bonus ?
normal, or high contrast ?
I have to set it after every restart and even closing app :crying:
Works great in latest Android Q beta

Working fine here. Closing the app does not change the saturation back to original values.
Awesome. It looks like other screen (settings - 1.20)
Thanks

EDIT: i don't believe that is necessary anymore. It looks like Xiaomi improved "saturation" option at settings on miui 11. It is perfect for me.
