Earlier today I received an email from James at Honor regarding the MM Beta I recently signed up for.
I was wondering if anybody had received the same? I ask because I'm a little skeptical.

It’s James from Honor here, I’m currently trying to figure out what is happening with the Honor 5X update which some of the testers have received and some of you haven’t.
If you one of the unlucky few who hasn’t had the update yet can you reply to this email with the following information and we can hopefully rectify the problem. Please ensure that both IMEI numbers are sent back and that they are correct.

1) Appears to come from the right place, have checked it out
2) Contacted Huawei in the UK via website and twitter, just waiting in a response. Must have caught them after they had left for today. Just thought I'd ask here to try and get a quicker answer.
It's legit. I'm also on the beta test and can confirm that I received the same email from James.

Bug? Do you mean issues that some people have updating to B140? They need to restore with original B130 ROM that @paulobrien posted in the guides forum.

Yep but that wasn't available until today mate
Tried everything to upgrade without success complete return to stock
Not until Paul realesed the update app today would anything else work

Seems Huawei is biased on its product. Only GRA L09 units are given updates. Huawei shouldn't be concentrating
on only one product at a time. Let's wait and see.

On ul00 / ul10 firmware сhinese location OTA updated from B230 to B325 is already out upgrade to B326 All this is a beta version of the firmware.
Оther locations can fly to B313 ( android 6.0 )
P. S. There is a rollback on Android 5.0

How's the cyanogen mod port going? Im still having issues with my linux box crashing (Pro tip never go for a baytrail cpu for a linux machine) Hopefully i will get a new laptop soon or get actual wifi for my desktop instead of using pda net and then i will be able to help out.
@0v3r cl0ck3d: currently I was busy updating Pure EMUI ROM, but I did some tweaking on the tree and managed to get to the last but somehow I'm getting a Java error, after that I didn't try to solve it as I was a bit busy.

You can search by device but the option is kinda hidden. Look around in it for 5 minutes and you can find that option easily

OMG....i got it last two days ago......i got that from someone.....i find my device..unfortunately there's no FULL package for my device....only OTA packages..... so tired :crying:

I flash this rom after lots of weeks! And I find out how to flash ota Huawei rom.this rom work well.
Some problems I can find after 2days that fixed:
Instagram lags fixed
Screen mirroring fully work.
Some apps need Android 6.0.1 to use fingerprint now you can use this feature.
Improve in web browser features.
I requested an specific forum extension for users (like me) who also have the Huawei Mate SE version in the US. In the meantime, we can use this thread to discuss specifics for this version.
Another Mate SE user posted this in the Oreo Beta thread. It seems there will be a also a FUT trial beta for Mate SE.

Thanks guys. I was wondering since the B101 build is "old" for some of the 7x's. I did notice though that the security patch is current as of Jan 2018.
Would be interesting to find out why in the US the 7x with 4gb/64gb is called the Mate SE, and in rest of world it is a version of the 7x. Seems like a weird marketing strategy. And the Honor guy on this forum can't/won't answer questions about the SE. You'd think that the Huawai/Honor staffing would be combined in the US.
Just wish we had some idea of when we might get a beta of Oreo.

Well, when I originally asked them about the Huawei Mate SE oreo update they responded within 30 minutes. Haven't got a response back since I sent them the followup for more details. Will let you know if I get more details.

Huawei hasn't released the firmware yet. There is no indication so far of when this will happen.

In that case, would you or anyone else happen to have a clean dump that I could use? I know I should have waited till official firmware has been released but I was really eager to root it and whatnot. Ended up flashing something I shouldn't have and now I can't boot.

I don't and we are all waiting for either the stock images and/or oreo beta.
In case you are wondering about rooting your Mate SE, someone already confirmed the same process for the international Honor 7x works with the Mate SE.

Not yet, I was part of the beta testers for the US 7x but didn't get the update as of yesterday. I returned the phone yesterday and kept the huawei mate se instead.
