just upgraded today,
inside local storage create "hwOUC" and inside that folder create "44055" folder
and paste the update.zip inside that folder
restart phone, go to updater and click on quick update
report back the result.

Is this for real? Has anyone else succeeded in updating L09 to B514? It didn't work for me and additionally the update.zip file seems to exactly the same as the update file for TL10. Was the wrong file uploded by any chance?

I went through the guide. I can get to B511 without having to restore from a backup. Is that good enough? Or will I get an OTA only if I restore from the specific Nandrid backup that you have recommended?

I tried both the methods without much success. I saw no quick update option in the above mentioned method. Then I tried restoring to B511 using the recommended TWRP backup. I received the update for B514, however the update never installed successfully, kept failing at less than 30% during "verifying current system". Does anyone have a clean TWRP backup of B514 for L09?

The restore worked. I got the update also. The update file does get saved in folder in the internal storage. However the update fails at around 30%. I tried with TWRP recovery and with stock recovery as well. Factory reset did not make any difference. Has anyone been able to apply the B514 update successfully on L09?

you might have missed something,
so far 4 users managed to upgrade successfully, by following all steps mentioned on blog,

Mutahhar,
All my attempts so far have failed. I didn't get the 1.2 gb full package even once. I got the 416 mb incremental update package promptly every time, however the update fails at lil less than 30 %. Can you please try to somehow get hold of the 1.2 gb B514 full upgrade package for L09, and upload that on mega? I'll try to upgrade using that.

If you have an OTA update.zip please PM it to me or contact me on google talk ([email protected]) and I will quick add it to this thread, with safe hosting, credits to The Firmware Team's Pzyduck for providing safe-haven for these types of files.
Instructions for pulling an OTA update.zip:
Do NOT install the update! Do these first!
Be rooted. We got plenty of methods. Motofail2go for ICS, and my RAZRiRoot.zip for turl1's Clockworkmod.
Download the Root Explorer app, or the ES File Manager app. (Instructions are for Root Explorer.)
Open Root Explorer and go to the ~/cache/ directory, which resides on the root directory of the phone '~/'
Hit the 'Mount R/W' in the corner, if successful will then say 'Mount R/O'
Copy the update file .zip from the ~/cache/ to your sdcard, external to be safe. External is in ~/mnt/external1/ and Internal is ~/sdcard/.
Copy over the update file .zip from the sdcard(s) you chose to your computer and upload it.
You will want to use Voodoo's OTA Rootkeeper before updating if you have a locked bootloader, you can find my thread on a RAZR i compatible version here.
Send me or post a link here to the update and exactly what System Version you were on, and where the update takes you to.
The community will thank you for your help!
Enjoy. Remember to do your part to the community and contribute all updates!

You cannot install any of these on different carriers without use of fastboots and unlocked bootloader.
These updates will ONLY work from PointA-PointB.
Here's another Update Zip for 40002EU. For this one you have to come from 32002 EU. The one in the OP is from 31006.

mattlgroff, im in 81.5.31006.Retail.en.EU - 4.0.4. and in software update i get notification of an ota. i down loaded that file when ask if i want to install it i select yes. but when in recovery it always fails. why, isnt that the official? because after that i tried flashing it in recovery but it fails too.
before alll this i was already on 81.5.40002.Retail.en.EU - 4.0.4. coming from 81.5.31006.Retail.en.EU. but i wanted to downgrade back to 81.5.31006.Retail.en.EU. and my phone died. thanks to hsd pilot my phone came back to life he sended me a file http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=1528201&d=1354399653. but now im stuck in what i told you at the begining. why?? what can i do to go back to 81.5.40002.Retail.en.EU. i know this is not the thread sorry but i was watching your new otas. and i cant install the one for my version.
Are you rooted? If yes and you used the Root with insecured Kernel, then you probably have the wrong Boot.img on your Phone. Grap the Boot_signed out of the 31006 Fastboot File and flash it through fastboot

Yes you can.
I have version 871.110.12008.XT890.Brasil.en.BR installed from sbf.droid-developers
My Razr i bootloader is unlooked and rooted. When i try to install the update with the android button (in about system) i recive error message after reboot. How can i install this update manually with fastboot console?
Thanks!
First, use an Root Explorer and copy your downloaded Update Zip out of the Cache Folder and leak it
Edit : Ok, it's in the OP already. Sorry, it's 1am in Germany :sly:
Your RazR i is rooted, how did you root it? If you used the Unlocked Root (insecure Kernel), than grap the boot signed out of the sbf you flashed and use fastboot to install it
fastboot flash boot boot_signed.
After that it should work. If not, you maybe deleted some System Apps. If that's the case, flash the system_signed.

After getting a DMCA Takedown Request from posting those before from the MB886 I'm afraid I can't help you there.
The 81.5.31002-81.5.39001.Retail.en.GB OTA update did something to my RAZR i's GSM radio, and now it can't recognize any SIM that I put in it ('No service'). :\ It used to work perfectly on 81.5.31002 prior to the update. Can anyone help me out?
I have tried reflashing the original 81.5.31002 stock firmware, the 81.5.39001 firmware as well as the latest EU firmwares using RSD Lite, didn't help at all. The GSM radio still seems to be out. I have also tried setting the network type to GSM in the *#*#4636#*#*-triggered menu and rebooting the phone, but even that doesn't help.

Hi everyone, posting this as a information about something you should NOT try: upgrade your OTA rom with custom recovery installed, in my case TWRP.
I did this with ignorance of not think that (or search about) the custom rom could interfere at the normal process of OTA upgrade from Lollipop to MarshMallow. Actually I remembered that I was unlocked and rooted the phone but I did not remember I was using custom recovery. AFAIK at this device is impossible to root without unlocking and custom recovery.

If you are on TWRP don't do this!
For those don't know about TWRP and OTA updates, read this:
https://twrp.me/faq/officialota.html
In short terms: don't try OTA updates (official updates) if you installed custom rom such as TWRP. "Installing official updates from your manufacturer or carrier is not supported by TWRP." "[This] may result in unexpected behavior" "Most of the time the best way to get a new update onto your device is to simply wait a couple of days for ROM makers for your device to come up with ROMs that are based on the new update that you can safely and easily install."
But I did it. And now I'm reporting it for those who are curious. So, what's happened?
Fortunately the device is not bricked as I thought when it reboot to TWRP for flashing the OTA update instead of the stock recovery process! I thought that I messed everything when I see the frozen TWRP for something about 10 minutes or less. After the long 10 minutes of frozen TWRP image I got the recovery working and checked the log:
Of course, errors on the log.
Rebooted and got a frozen background image, after a while a permanent black. When the screen turn off the notification system shows the battery as dead (and it as not). But I could turn it off and gain access to the recovery holding power and volume down buttons.
After two failed reboots to the system with the same result I tried to make a screenshot using the hard buttons and it works (screenshoted the black screen) and suddenly the lock screen shows up. I got into, everything working slow meaning that there was a lot things working in the background. Got some error messages from google service and MMS/SMS communication and minutes later it automatically reboots and booted the TWRP again.
This turned to a loop. I stopped this by going to the system setup - about the device - check for updates. And got a message "the update has failed". Good. After a while the message offering the update shows again... No, thanks...
I rebooted to TWRP and fixed the permissions, maybe this solve some problems.
Right now the phone is working but the rebooting process has unexpected behaviors, some tries result in a normal fast process and other tries result in a long black image and the system/launcher just don't arm up for some minutes, but after a while it works. I'm not confident. Already backed up apps with Titanium backup.
I'm planning to restore everything from the stock using this guide:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/mot...e-restore-moto-e-2015-stock-firmware-t3054303
And them, maybe, update the OTA to marshmallow. Before doing that, I will search and get to know if it is possible to re-root the phone with marshmallow in osprey (that means re-unlock and install TWRP again). Rooted device it's a need for me.
This is what happened to my device when tried to OTA update with TWRP. I had luck not bricking this.
+1 on the dumb attempt. Early morning, excited for the release, upgrade please! Yeah, no good. Is restoring our only option? Seems the upgrade has not even started so what about deleting the downloaded image file or trying to kill the process attempt?
did you really had to make a new thread with that huge wall of text? haha come on man, common knowledge that to take the OTA you need stock recovery ?

Yeah, DON'T proceed with the update! Deleting the downloaded files just break the process... My advise is to make a backup before deleting this.

No need to adb stock image. A simple factory reset worked for me. Next time will have more caffiene before attempting anything major with my phone.

Good to know that a factory reset could fix the problems caused by the OTA update with TWRP. But after this it should remain with custom recovery and not possible to OTA update. for stock MM

I experience this today, I flashed a stock rom again so I can have the OTA update, but what I can't do is root my device, I flash the custom recovery and then I flash the beta version of SuperSU, and when I reboot my device it bricks in the Motorola Logo, anybody knows how to fix this, or should I wait a little bit longer to root my phone? as the OP I need root too
Use the latest 2.62 superSU zip. And never root with the TWRP option before reboot.

Can you post a little tutorial?, I wanna be sure I'm doing everything OK.
Saw many users struggling with official stock marshmallow update and were looking for downgrade procedure(on Facebook, honor community) to go back to stable and official Lollipop version from Beta/stable stock Marshmallow version(instead of trying the custom ROMs). Below method is thoroughly checked personally by me for more than 5-6 times and I am writing this detailed step by step guide for downgrade. Original link to my thread on official Honor community-
https://club.hihonor.com/in/techsup...android-marshmallow-to-android-lollipop-.4825
Prerequisites-
It will work only if your phone is non rooted. (no changes to the system partition and bootloader made)
Make sure you are running the beta marshmallow version. (not custom version )
Make sure you are on stock recovery.
Make sure to take full backup of the data and apps as this downgrade process will erase all your data and will wipe the internal memory. (you can use this backup to restore your contacts, call/sms logs, app with data, your home screen layout etc. )
Make sure your device is charged to at least 50%.
SD card with minimum 4 GB free space (as main product package is around 2.77 GB in size)
Lets start the process.
Updating product transfer package-
Download the update.app product transfer package for Honor 5X device from link https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B42SZzKuosucZllsQk5WVGNRNjA
Create a folder dload in the root directory of your SD card.
Copy the update.app package which you just downloaded to dload folder.
Power off the phone.
Press volume up+volume down keys and simultaneously press power button.
Your phone will automatically detect the package and will start the update process.
Once the update process is successful, you will get a message as update was successful and your phone will restart automatically.
Updating the main product package (lollipop package)
Delete the old dload folder from SD card. (which had transfer package file of size 13 KB) - Do not forget to delete this folder or rename it or else the same file will be keep on flashing again and again.
Download the full version package from the link http://consumer.huawei.com/in/suppo...0=Mobile Phones&key1=Smartphones&key2=KIW-L22
You will see a zip file with name Honor 5X_Firmware_KIW-L22_Android 5.1_EMUI 3.1_C675B130_India
Unzip and extract the package. You will get 1 folder and 2 files as

}
Copy the dload folder to SD card root directory. (dload folder contain update.app file of 2.77 GB size)
Power off the phone.
Press volume up+volume down keys and simultaneously press power button.
Your phone will automatically detect the package and will start the update process.
Once the update process is successful, you will get a message as update was successful and your phone will restart automatically.
During restart, phone will verify the system image.
This verification and 1st boot may take upto 2-3 minutes so do not panic.
Once the phone is booted and up, it will ask for the initial setup like language, wifi, agreement etc.
Validation-
Once the phone is setup, go to setting—about phone—check the android version and build number to verify you are running on Android Lollipop version.
NOTE:
This process will completely erase your data, so make sure to have a backup before proceeding further.
This process will downgrade your phone to Android Lollipop 5.1, EMUI 3.1 and Build version KIW-L22C675B130.
I have personally tested this method and downgraded my phone to Lollipop without any issue.
If you follow the guide correctly, you should not face any issue with condition that all the Prerequisites are met and you followed the steps in order.
If anyone still have any doubt or a slight hesitation, please feel free to ask in the comment before proceeding and risking your phone.
Steps will remain the same for all devices only the package will change.
I've been experiencing a lot of random boot loops on my phone... Tried removing sdcard, had a replacement simcard, no go. it's completely random. Sometimes it reboots right after pin insert, sometimes it stays ok for 1 day and then it starts again. I think i'm going to try to revert to lollipop and see if it solves my problem, before sending it to warranty repair... Thanks for your guide.

This rollback does not work for me?
HUAWEI NXT-LXX EMUI5.0+Android7.0 rollback to EMUI4.0+Android 6.0 Operation instruction
The instruction guides user to roll back from Android7.0 to Android 6.0
1) Roll back operation includes twice SD card update, only through intermediate package
NXT-LXXC900B500, like below:
2) Allow roll back to Huawei official stable release.
1. Make sure the current system version on your phone is an official Huawei version based
on Android 7.0. If your phone has been updated with a non-official version, the rollback
may fail and even cause unexpected problems.
2. Make sure your phone system version has not been unlocked or rooted.
3. Your personal data will be erased during the rollback. Be sure to back up all your
important data beforehand.
4. Prepare a micro SD card with available storage space at least 8 GB.
5. Make sure the battery level is higher than 30%.
6. The rollback includes two local ROM flashing procedures, first from Android 7.0 to the
intermediate package version and then from the intermediate package version to Android 6.0.
Step 1: Back up data.
Your personal data will be erased during the rollback. Be sure to back up all your important data beforehand.
To back up data to your micro SD card, go to Tools > Backup, touch backup, and follow the onscreen instructions.
Step 2: Update your phone to the intermediate package version.
Obtain the NXT-LXX intermediate package (UPDATE.APP) by visiting the official EMUI website or calling the customer service hotline.
Load the UPDATE.APP package to the dload folder under your micro SD card root directory.
f there is no dload folder under the directory, please create one. (Do not load the UPDATE.APP package to the internal storage.)
When the phone is powered off, press and hold the volume up, volume down, and power buttons simultaneously to enter forcible update mode. Release the buttons only after the rollback starts. Do not operate the phone during the rollback.
Step 3: Confirm the intermediate package version.
When the phone is powered on, go to Settings > About phone and check whether the
displayed version number contains NXT-LXXC900B500.
Step 4: Update the phone from the intermediate package version to Android 6.0.
Download the Android 6.0 full package (UPDATE.APP) for the NXT-LXX from the EMUI official website. Load the UPDATE.APP package to the dload folder under your micro SD card root directory. (Do not load the UPDATE.APP package to the internal storage.)
When the phone is powered off, press and hold the volume up, volume down, and power buttons simultaneously to enter forcible update mode. Release the buttons only after the rollback starts. Do not operate the phone during the rollback.

I apreciated your help
I my device is p9 lite vns l31. Now I am in elite roam v 7.1 , I want to go back stock roam. Stock roam b360 was flashed using dload method. That step properly done. After twrp recovery was installed then vns l31 full spaces flash through the twrp. But that step not properly completed. Now only Google voice typing,no keyboard,no system updater, build no says generic room or something. Pls help me to solve this problem.
Hey ! well i'm not a pro but did you download the full update ? the 2gig one ? and also was it the correct region ? (C432 for europ... c185 for north africa... )
I had similar problem which I was able to solve by following procedure (it's semi-complicated):
Get 'Firmware finder' from Google Play. Download your CORRECT FullOTA upgrade - VNS-L31CxxxBxxx. Select only Update.zip (the other one didn't work in updater, anyway, but that will be solved later).
After completion, there's a HWFF folder In Internal storage that has that zip.
If MTP is working, move zip to PC and unzip it into a new folder and rename it to "dload". Then move this folder to your SDcard.
If MTP is not working, move zip on phone with File manager to SDcard and then use adapter to put SDcard into PC and do the same as above (unzip, dload, ...).
Unplug USB cable and shutdown phone. Put SDcard into phone slot and use 3-button method (all 3 hardware keys pressed until EMUI logo shows up) to force upgrade.
Then if you succeed with that, let me know for next step (resulting in a full working system with all the apps).

Hey Krucifer !!! im facing the same problem ! the good thing is that by following your steps i boot into the recovery and it start updating...
the bad news is that it fails... im using a l31 c185 B385 i downloaded (the full package of 3 zips !!!) should i download an anterior version !? :/ !
Edit : okay looks like i can't use the dload method with ANY stock rom... so i have to download the correct one and will report after that !

Exactly.
Try FullOTA-MF-PV (that's the only one that worked for me) and make sure you use odd number (B371, B381) for single sim and even number (B370, B380) for dual sim.
Also, DL only update.zip and extract it do dload. Other files will fail. You'll have to use In-app proxy of Firmware Finder for full fix.
If you get stuck with it, let me know and I'll write step by step.

There is cust image in vns full spaces file bro. Extract update fille and get them.
It's better to try different update.zip files from Firmware Finder than to risk bricking by forcefully flashing something wrong.
I tried a few that didn't work but then one worked.
But to be honest, Elite ROM is much better than stock and I returned back to it. It has more options than stock. I miss even more options (like in crDroid) but I like stock look more than that of Lineage.
