Unofficial CM13 - Xperia Z1 Compact General

Just sharing a build by @derf elot. I'm guessing he'll probably start a thread soon, but in the meantime, I figured I'd post a link, since it's easy to overlook in the middle of a q&a thread. Check post #8 here - http://forum.xda-developers.com/son...ts-hindering-development-cm13-device-t3363526

I'm giving it a shot right now to update the Sony blobs and make a new build. Once that works I'll start a new thread.

Thanks to @CLINTZ9 and @derf elot to bring us cm13 for this device

Unfortunately, I managed to screw something up in the process of updating the blobs it seems. The built went fine but the camera apk wasn't built. I won't have time to have a look at it again until next weekend, but maybe @CLINTZ9 will have more success in the meantime

to build a cm 13.0 for amami is not the problem. for the moment it is not suitable for daily use in my opinion.
the new kernel 3.10 is not as stable as the old 3.4 so some reboots happen. video playback crashes the device
and camera autofocus is not working so far.
and i have had some strange behaviour at battery drain. From 25 to 2% in 3 minutes.

similar with me, started with cm12.1 nightlies (sudden high percentage drops, high drain while awake, power offs and overall weird behaviour with no particular wakelocks) and continued the same with stock .236 which all leads to battery tired of life, so consider that option too

WONK on the N1 finally solved???

Did anyone else try the latest CM nightly (#74) ????
I finally got around to install the build over 63. I did a complete wipe and installed CM#74 and restored my apps... Is it just me or the new build having zero wonk..It seems to be significantly more smoother too (placebo effect)????
I also noticed that current draw at idle is 5-6mA which used to be 9-14mA...
Need some more opinions...
Wouldn't it be better to take this question to the CM7 Nightly thread?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=13801268&postcount=881
not sure if its in the official nightlies already but its in fitsnuglys from page 1
Yes jordan posted the issue and the fix.
Comment 280 by [email protected], Yesterday (20 hours ago)
Not sure if this is the cause of the issue, but I did just find a problem in AudioHardware.cpp. mRecordState was not getting initialized and was not set to 0 when the hardware is initialized. This prevents the a1026 chip from going into suspend mode, since the AudioHardware code thinks it is in record mode.
I've attached an updated libaudio.so and a 1-line patch. Do an adb push to /system/lib to test.

We should be releasing a 7.0.4 shortly with that patch applied for Nexus One users.
Thank you Jordan

Yrs the wonk is fixed finally. But what interests me more is the idle power draw. I'm on a nightly from a month ago and my current draw is 7 mA each night.
How do you measure power draw? I need another useless stat to monitor...

7mA for the ENTIRE night or is that per hour?
How does it do the rest of the day?
The wonk fix has been all over the nightly threads and fits threads. Dont you read??

I see 7 mA current basically all night as long as the phone is idle.
I just finally flashed nightly 74, and I already hit 5 mA just testing for a few minutes, not even trying hard yet. In another thread someone is seeing 4-6 mA which best we've seen yet. Definite improvements so far.
Use current widget to take readings.
Roger, what do you usually get in terms of power draw when you have your screen on?

Well I've done extensive tests on that very issue, to start take a look at my results in this thread.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=998544&goto=newpost
Its hard to give a single value for screen on current draw. I modified the battery driver to do those tests to give extra control over battery testing. Since the screen is amoled, I found black vs white color matters far less than we thought, and instead screen brightness is the major variable.
Minimum brightness I see 110 mA consistently. If you run cyanogen I can send you a altered battery app that did those graphs if you want to do your own tests. My modified app is the best way to do exact power tests on any scenario you want. The results always surprise me, different than what we think.
Never had the wonk.
Posted through the force
I measured it using currentwidget... don't know if its accurate enough but readings are the best ever since jumping to CM7... only on froyo I used to get these low current usgage..on airplane mode it goes as low as 2mA...checked log from last night and showed 5mA throughout...
and by the way I am on the latest iR kernel ..
as explained by the author of "wonk" patch, A1026 chip used wrong state id (13 instead of 0). Actually it would mean that the audio hardware never went to sleep, on some phones it caused "wonk" on the others users never experienced wonk (perhaps different hardware chips used in different phones), but still it was consuming more power than it should while idle. Thus I would expect better power consumption during idle state as the result.
The kernel developers can now atleast rest knowing wonk was not a problem assosicated with the kernel and can revert all the wonk fix attempts (make leaner meaner ones ).
KUDOS to jyxent for fixing this irritating bug!!!!!
that(wonk) was major no go for me and in between tried several other ROMs. At the moment I'm on this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=723844&page=1759 post#17583 and since the time flawless. Well I'm tempted for latest and monitoring others feedback.

[Q] How to improve battery life on CM11?

I'm on Cm11 M6 (D800) and my screen-on time is pretty poor, with the screen seeming to be the main culprit. I only get about 1.5–2 hrs of screen-on time and the battery depletes very fast when I have the screen on, even doing menial tasks. I'm on stock Cm11 and have BetterBatteryStats installed, but nothing unusual is showing up at all. I've blocked the usual Google Play Services culprits, but poor battery life still persists. I also use Greenify.
Any suggestions?
Change to Mahdi ROM would be my advice.
it seems like you're running an old monthly, why not update to the latest?

I've heard a lot of good things about that ROM. Are there any major bugs?
I updated to the latest nightly build (because stable development stopped at M6), but having the same issues.

I didn't use LineageOS because it's still a nightly and the battery drains insanely.. I might consider trying it when a snapshot is published.

Stock, Oreo beta, or Lineage?

Got a new PH-1 coming soon. I'm thinking I'll put it through its paces by installing an alternate ROM from the get-go.
I'm not trying to provoke an argument, but I'd like to hear some reasoned viewpoints on which ROM I should go with for the honeymoon period: stock, Oreo beta, or Lineage?
It's been a while since I've had a phone that was getting a lot of attention from devs, so I feel spoiled for choice.
Thanks!
i'd like to know the same. any opinons folks?
I have tried and confirm all room are working very well, I'm using Oreo now. If you want some more tweak you can try Lineage, for example you can double home icon to turn off screen with Lineage.
Lineage is great, but trying PacRom now and it is buttery smooth with amazing battery life and tons of features.

I am using the Oreo beta with no issues. Phone has been unplugged since 8am, and after 8.5 hours I am still at 93%, so not bad at all. That time includes a few phone calls. I have BT on, and don't see any weird drain...

how so? my SOT is 3 hours vs 6 hours
I didn’t say screen on time. One of the complaints of the beta is battery drain from bt even when idle, and I am not seeing it.
With last official rom i have 7h sot And i have next 20% (brightness) 60% i have hw revision 1.8 i havent got problem with signal always 103- 105 dBm lte+ in Czech it is realy best phone i ever have better then iphone or galaxy s7
Honestly, I play a lot of clash Royale and there's this bug where nothing I do with all the custom ROMs that keeps it from the camera notch obstructing the game and a bottom black bar is added. Even with adjusting it in extended display mode it doesn't work. This keeps me away from the custom ROMs. I've asked people about it and they say they dont have a problem with it, but I think they're lying or dont play full screen games or video

I would do the Oreo Beta myself...been using it with little or no issues. I'm not a heavy screen user most of the time, so I wake up with a full charged battery and go to bed 12-16 hrs later with well over 85% battery most days. The latest build of Oreo (OPM1.180104.092) seems to be quite well behaved.

Battery draining issue

Hello XDA.
I really love the work everyone is doing here on XDA.
I just need some help from you guys.
I'm facing battery drain while screen is off in every single ROM (PE, Havoc OS, MIUI).
i think my battery life is good while i'm using my phone but whenever i put it down, it starts eating batter like hell (almost 10% in 1 hour).
Please anybody help me, i'm really frustrated by this issue.

I am facing the same issue. Using AEX rom latest version atm. Really like the rom but the battery drain is high when the phone is ideal.. Drops from 40-0 overnight without any use. Even after everything including wifi and data is off

I sure hope you have solved your issue .If not, then these were the steps that solved it for me.
After trying all types of calibration apps, I went ahead and Flashed the Latest Miui9 Global Build for Redmi 3s and suddenly my issue was solved. It was most probably a miscalibration from all the flashing which was causing the intense drain.
Attached Some screenshots of my present battery usage

I Strongly suggest to get it checked then. My Note4 battery had swelled up and it ended up breaking my screen from the inside.
(Back panel had 0 budge as it is a metal panel)
So a Rs1000 repair turned a lot expensive.
Guys try msm xtended rom with chimera kernel and do some changes in setting definitely there is no idle drain over the ni8

I tried many different ROM's, but only Resurrection Remix and crDroid Android give good battery life on their's stock kernels without greenify and etc. !
Try havoc os pie version, it gives me around 7-9 hours of SOT. AND that too without any app like greenify.
