Hi everyone,
I have always been a big fan of HTC's blinkfeed launcher, but given the M9, and the fact that I got used to big screens, I have now a Nexus 6P.
I tried some similar apps such as Flipboard and Flow Home, but they don't feel the same.
I found some website explaining how to install HTC Sense to any phone, but I guess these old versions won't be Marshmallow compatible. (see here https://devs-lab.com/2015/05/install-original-htc-blinkfeed-on-any-android.html)
Does anyone know how I can bring Sense to my Nexus 6P? I only need Blinkfeed
Well, here i have found exactly what you are looking for
Check this out: http://www.fulmics.com/htc-sense/ Haven't been updated in a while, but is still the most universal Blinkfeed installation I've seen.
Also, try the Xposed module Sensify if you really need the latest versions.

Fullmics HTC Apps port is the best working port I ever found, works flawlessly on stock and custom ROMs.
Thanks everyone for your answers, I'll try fulmics. Can anyone confirm that it works with Marshmallow?

One of the new features in 4.4 is that the dialer app now gives you phone numbers of places local to you as you type. I'm running 4.4 (rastakat) on my N4 and if I start typing a word ie "mcdonalds" I was expecting to see results for places local to me, but nothing happens.
Is this an N5 feature only or do I need to do something to enable this? I did search but I can't find mention of this anywhere.

Dear Crazzyfool_1,
I was doing some research myself but I am not sure if I am allowed to post links to other forum in this one. Well I am new here so if I make a mistake then please feel free to let MODS edit my post and remove the link.
According to the website below Dialer.apk and Phone.apk have been replaced with the new TelephonyProvider.apk on the N5. Looking the image it doesn't seem like its a N5 feature. Now I have not tested the new image (rastakat) myself and am not sure if they have modified TelephonyProver.apk or have not included in their release.
So to answer your question I don't think its limited to N5. I'd say ask some more people and wait for some time for others to test the rom and do some more digging.

Hope I was helpful.

That uses google services, therefore is not open source. AOSP dialer will not have this functionality.
Hopefully when n4 image comes, it will be on the n4.

Yes, it works on the N5 port. The OP's question was why it didn't work on AOSP ROM.

So there is a ROM floating around(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2463059)
"Lockscreen Notifications - a unique feature implemented by me. Manage your Notifications directly on your lockscreen! It also includes pocketmode and some other very useful features."
Its a custom PA version but the feature I am most interested in is a Stock ROM with just this. I just want the lock screen notifications feature, anyone that can point me to a ROM that is pretty stock but has just this one feature?
I did a quick search and found some apps that do this on their own. Search for lock screen notification and check some of them out.

Hi,
I'm planing to buy a LG G2 but I think, the OS is very overloaded and I would like to install stock android after buying it.
So, my questions are; is there any way to get Dark UI working on, lets say, CyanogenMod?
And, after watching some reviews, I find the feature to enable a NAS on the G2 very useful. Is it possible to integrate this option into a cyanogenmod-rom?
regards and sorry for my bad english
I can't remember if I have seen dark ui on pure CM but I have seen it on several different AOSP like/based ROMs like Beanstalk, which I am using now. You can read about it in the original Android development forum.
I don't know about NAS features.

I would assume the "NAS-Feature" would be the Wifi/Wireless Storage method. You can find the APK Here, but I'm not sure if it works.
More discussion on that Here
Hi,
I had some problems with my internet-connection, so; sorry for my late reply.
Will test the linked .apk, thanks!
Last question; the G2 has an infra-red interface with the app for it.
Is it possible to also install this app manually?
regards
As the title states, in referring to the actual LG G5 launcher. I can grab the apk but it won't run, it'll install but it checks to see if your device is an LG device.
Perhaps the apk could be decompiled and have the check removed. Not 100% as to do this but I'll have a go.
As for the launcher, its kind of like MIUI, as in there is no real app drawer. Its very slick and doesn't appear to have any lag at all.
If anyone knows of it or can provide a link I'd appreciate it.

I've never even seen a working G3 launcher since its era. The few people who tried to port it got banned for unknown reasons. I already gave up on imitating LG & Samsung's interface.

You can grab an LG G3 launcher on the play store mate. And it's lock screen. Works perfectly, slight lag at times on the lock screen...reason why Im interested about the G5 Is the lack of an app drawer, looks amazing.

If you mean those launcher themes, no I don't see these as proper. None changes the target launcher's basic structure and therefore aren't even close. They also don't have stock widgets.
If you have a link to a proper one on Play, please do attach here.

I've had the launcher, compared it with an LG G3 and they were identical. Either way, it's the G5 one I'm after.
Does anyone else have any input about the G5 launcher?

Over the time of using HTC devices. I came to realize I used Blinkfeed for more of a news app than a Homescreen. Needless to say, finding ways of launching Blinkfeed along side another launcher can be tedious or "Rooty" routes. I found several different ways of launching or creating a shortcut for Blinkfeed in many different fassions. From using Nova launcher gesture actions to exposed module SenseToolbox. Im not a fan of rooting my new high class smartphone so i developed an easier method. This application was first designed for the HTCM7, than updated for the M8 and now revamped for the HTC10.
Prism Assistant is an intelligent shortcut to Blinkfeed or Sense Home. It has a combination of shortcuts allowed to the user for whatever they find easier to view their Blinkfeed to their advantage. Now, Sense Home needs to be installed on your device first for this application to work correctly. If your using a aosp or Cyanogenmod based custom rom, the unofficial port of Blinkfeed will work just as good. Prism Assistant will detect if Sense Home is or not installed and take action to help you.
PA allows the following for HTC10 devices
-Blinkfeed launcher shortcut
-Notification Listener shortcut
-Replace Google On Tap with Blinkfeed
You can grab Prism Assistant on Google Play here for a small fee https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.NxIndustries.Flip
Or
Free load and grab the apk here and wanna give it a test run first https://www.dropbox.com/s/u4qp6d746i9efii/PA-20.0-release.apk?dl=0
^i will update the dropbox version soon for anyone who doesn't have Google play or XDA Labs
Any comments, suggestions, and feedback welcomed.
Custom rom developers are welcomed to PM me for instructions of how to add Home Assist action provider shortcut to Sense Home if they would like the tweak baked in. Giving credit is the only requirement.

One more screenshot...
Bump.
I will be looking into making Prism Assistant a more diverse app soon by giving users a choice to choose what application to set the Home Assistant activity to so its useful to users who also use Blinkfeed.

Prism Assistant has recieved one of its final end of life updates this weekend also making the app free to all and ads will appear in the toolbar (very easy to evade) and a minimal material design. Links have been updated and some quirks patched.
Another update will be pushed soon for final patches.
Thankyou for using prism Assistant
