I'm rooted with flash custom rom. I want to go back to stock rom and unroot phone, can this be achieved by simply flashing latest stock firmware via odin?
I've Download latest firmware from sammobile.
I'm not concerned about deleting internal storage just want the easiest way to achieve the above.
I'm sure many are in the same boat as me.
SOLUTION - this will delete your internal memory and reset to factory settings.
Download firmware for your phone from sammobile (slow server for free down-loaders takes 2hrs depending on internet speed)
Extract firmware zip
You will have 4 files inside folder
Open Odin 3.10.7
click on BL select BL file from extracted folder
click on AP select AP file from extracted folder
click on CP select CP file from extracted folder
click on CSC select CSC file from extracted folder
enter phone in download mode pressing power, volume down and home key together.
connect phone to pc
from Odin click on start button
Phone will reboot once flash is complete.
thats it

No one can't answer my question?
Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
1. Download the firmware
2. Download Odin
3. Open Odin
4. Extract the firmware's zip. You should have a .tar file and .dll file
5. Shut down phone then go into Download Mode (press and hold Home + Power + Volume Down)
6. Connect phone, Odin should say Added! (if not you should install drivers)
7. Add the firmware file to AP / PDA
8. Auto Reboot and F.Reset time should be checked. Re-partition is NOT ticked
9. Click start and wait about 9-10 minutes. Don't f*ck with cable wait until Odin says PASSED (green)
EDIT: After install, you might have some FCs. For me always do wipes from recovery menu.

Hello, want to download this ROM, but I'm a bit confused because I always flash the new roms manually using a cwm recovery only. I'm not an expert in these tar md5 files.. Anyways im running a stock lollipop N9005XXUENC2 and my question is can I flash AryaMod using the cwm only and without downloading the 2 tar files the developer mentioned in the main thread? If not, can you tell me exactly what I should do using Odin? Thanks..
here you go!

the thing is,
1. Make all necessary backups, install ODIN and Samsung drivers in PC, also download the necessary files (BL, CP and ROM).
2. remove battery and insert after 10 secs.
3. Directly boot into Download Mode via key combo (after getting into Download Mode, Open ODIN and also connect phone to PC).
[download both files, select "BL tar file" in BL and "CP tar file" in CP in ODIN]
4. Flash the BL and CP from OP via ODIN (after selecting two files, click Start, it will automatically restart and it will show Success)
5. Now after the phone is ON (Success message), disconnect from PC and enter Recovery Mode and flash ROM.zip
6. Select your Options in Aroma and enjoy.
The Dev recommended to use TWRP and also I had TWRP from start. You can check in the ROM thread whether anyone is doing this via CWM.
Good luck.

No doesn't trip knox, as it is still official firmware. I just installed XEF in my PHN and have done this many times, as long as official, it will not trip knox.

Hello, I purchase a SM-G935F from a pawnshop today that was flashed with a custom ROM however it does not boot. The phone goes into download mode just fine and want to flash stock firmware but cannot find the USA version. The box came the phone and appears to be a USA version, the UPC code on the box is 8806088275123 and I check the IMEI on a website service and it came back with this model number SM-G935FZKLTTT and says it was sold in the USA. Any help from members would be greatly appreciated, thank you in advance for your help.

You can flash any region firmware on the SM-G930F phone, try this one:

Thank you my friend, trying now.
I forgot to tell you that factory reset is required when switching from custom rom to stock rom so make sure you flash the non home CSC file and not the home_csc file.

Yes, it is in the download. When you download Samsung firmware from Sammobile or Updato website they come in a zipped file. You'll need to extract the zipped folder which will give you multiple files labelled AP, BL, CP, CSC and lastly HOME_CSC.
This is an example of what the files look like when the files are extracted from the downloaded firmware zip file:
http://prntscr.com/k07am0
The non_home csc file is used to tell the phone to wipe the user data on the phone when flashed, the home CSC is used if you don't want to wipe the user data on the phone when flashing firmware.

Right now the phone will not boot, it shows the title of the phone but then just loops back to a black screen.

If you are flashing Oreo firmware which is 8.0 you need to use Odin 3.13 or newer as the older Odin software does not support flashing Oreo firmware.
The only buttons you need to click are BL, AP, CP, CSC then start and nothing else.
The default check boxes under options tab will be auto reboot and f reset time. Others should be left untouched and not checked.
You'll need to reboot download mode again which can be done by holding the download mode keys until you get that blue screen again or that it says that something ran into a problem with the blue screen which allows flashing as well.

Hello again, well I thought it worked because I got a PASS in Odin however, when the phone boots, I get a Black screen saying Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge then it goes to a blue screen with the android logo and it says erasing at the bottom for a few seconds then the screen goes black. The phone still goes into download mode however, it will not go into recover mode. Before flashing this I could get into recovery mode but would see a custom page with loading and rebooting options. Am I missing the stock boot loader? So sorry to keep bothering you about this.

You cant just simply extract a rom zip you need tools to do it thats why you are getting errors when extracting.
Did you go into developer options and enable OEM unlock and usb debugging??
