Hello, on 3.0 I was able to use my USB mouse to navigate through the menus. It acted as touch input. When 3.1 hit, my mouse stopped acting as touch input.
I bought droidmote. It works but I'm not really liking it. Is there anyway I can get my mouse to stimulate touch input again? If droidmote can, why can't my mouse?

I have a Microsoft wireless desktop at home and after plugging in the usb dongle, the mouse worked, but not the keyboard.
I then went to work and tried a friends Logitech wireless keyboard and mouse with the USB dongle and both worked perfectly.
So basically I would suggest giving it a try or be prepared to take back whatever one you buy if it doesn't work.
yeah. I have a logitech combo. It works.
Hey guys, I'm working on a Ubuntu port to my a500 but I can't seem to get my wireless keyboard to work. I have a combo wireless keyboard and mouse that works off of one usb plug; the mouse works but the keyboard won't type anything. It's a logitech mk320. Any help is appreciated-
Thanks
Im using a Logitech MK220 wireless combo with no problems at all. Mouse and keyboard with a single usb dongle. See if it works on your pc if you havent, check batteries and stuff.

Well, it does work on pc, I'm typing with it right now. I just bought it- batteries are fine. Like I said, mouse works on tablet but not the keyboard... any other ideas?
sorry not sure if u already fixed ur issue but I just bought a MK220 and it works fine with my N8010 . tips: restart the andorid while the logitech reciever is plugged in. if it doesnt work for some odd reason, take out the batteries of the mouse and plug in the reciever and restart. (this will not pair the mouse)
hope it works,
i have 2.7 of n64oid running on my nexus tab. im using a otg cable and a n64 controller to usb adapter as well. Anyone know why all the buttons are supported except the c buttons when mapping input keys?
my other alternative: is there an app to make my phone a bluetooth keyboard and or controller to use with my nexus 7? thanks ahead time.
Hello, there!!!
Few days ago, I got the microsoft sculpt comfort bluetooth mouse for my stock 4.4.2 rooted s4 (i337m).
This bluetooth mouse works pretty nice except for one thing: when i click on a dialog box for start to write something, the virtual keyboard doesn't show up. Someone told me what android could be detected my mouse as a keyboard too, so, i installed the tincore keymapper app and it sees the mouse as a keyboard, not as a mouse... I connected a usb mouse with a otg cable and, when I click a dialog box, the keyboard shows up and I even can swype words with it.
Any ideas? I have a mhl 2.0 adapter for screen mirroring and I need get the mouse working properly because i don't want to buy a bluetooth keyboard.
Sorry for my english.
So, I have the version of the Shield TV that doesn't have the rechargeable controller, and the cord to charge it with. So, I need to figure out a way to select options since neither my controller or my logitech wireless mouse work when in fastboot mode, recommendations are appreciated.
If you don't want to buy yourself a wired mouse for super cheap, just borrow one from a friend/acquaintance. You can get one at Wal-Mart for less than $5... Having a functional wired mouse and keyboard around is always a good idea when you're tinkering with computers, devices, etc.
P.s. I use an older Microsoft Laser Light wired mouse from my older Windows 7 desktop PC for all my wired mouse needs. Works perfectly every time and with every device for me.

I'd just about imagine any traditional standard USB wired mouse will work just fine for the SHIELD TV. As long as the wired mouse itself is functioning as it's supposed to and can perform its primary/core functions of acting as an input device for pointing/moving the cursor around on the display, and of course, allowing one to click/select on-screen objects with the mouse button(s), you're gonna be in good shape.
I'd say it's probably a safe bet that practically any USB connected wired mouse is gonna give you the core functionalities with almost any compatible device nowadays(devices which can accept a mouse as an input device).
Hmmm.. This kinda got me wonderin out of my own curiosity now. One thing somewhat related to your topic is that I'm a little unsure about the ability to use, for example, a USB-C wired mouse and needing to attach some kinda converter type dongle thing to the existing USB-C connector, which would then convert the USB-C connection into a traditional USB type plug. I wonder if using converters in that way would be supported as well?
