Pictures not ending up on SD card - Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Questions and Answers

Hi,
Even with setting the storage to SD option on in the camera, it keeps storing the new pictures on the internal storage. Any idea why?

Do you shooting in raw?
By enable raw shooting, all picture shot in pro mode will end up in internal storage.

So there's no way to shoot in RAW and store on external storage? That's so odd, those dng files are huge!

Screenshot Please
Attached the sample pic. Not sure whether it was the Iso settings (set to 800) and/or lighting conditions.
But some of the photos in took hv no issues.

looks like interference due to light conditions! try another lightsource...
in some cam apps you can adjust this by setting the 50 or 60HZ compensation, the stock cam of the note does not show such an option, maybe it tries to do this automatically and this fails in your case!
I have the same prob.. Think its a software issue..hope there will be fix to this prob

Ok. I hv taken another 2 more shots using ISO settings set to auto and 800.
As you can see that the pic with the blue lines are using ISO800 settings.
The other pic taken using ISO Auto have no issues.
Hence, I suspect its due to the camera software.
Anyone have any idea or solutions using any software to correct the affected pics?

SD photo storage

I have set my camera up to save photos straight to the sd card but it still seems to be taking up internal storage. When I look at the photo details it appears to be using sd card storage.
Any ideas why this is?
Thank

Go to the camera app. Tap the menu button, (left of home) then tap settings, the tap the gear on top, scroll down to the bottom and where it says storage, clock memory card
I have done this and it does say memory card but looks to be taking up internal storage as well!

You may want to move your photos from your internal storage to your SD card so it won't take up so much space on the device's storage.

[Q] Pictures from my galery with grey line / drug effects

Hi,
I have a problem viewing pictures on my S4. I tried from my cell's galery and I also tried to xfer them on my computer and I still have the same problem.
On some pictures, I have a big grey line. On some pictures, two sections of the pictures are not at the good position. I was thinking that it was an old LSD flashback :cyclops: but it's not.
You can see 2 pictures with problems. (I know, I have a weird cat ! )
Do you think that my SD card is dying ? Do you have some ideas ?
Thanks !
Change where it saves the pictures internal SD to external card or vice versa. See if that improves things.
Otherwise I would suspect your camera sensor could be having issues.

Hi, I tried to change where it saves the pictures but I can't know if the probleme is solve or not. I have more than 1000 pictures on my SD card and when I take pictures, I never see these grey lines. But when I look back to my pictures some days later, then some pictures have grey line. It's never when taking a picture.
Thx
Does the same Grey line show up when they are viewed on a pc? It kind of looks like when I have recovered jpeg files from a dieing hard drive. If you don't get all the pieces back then it can show a grey line like that.

I uploaded one of these pic on my dropbox yesterday. I saw the same grey lines on the computer. That's why I think that my SD have some problem. I just want to be sure before buying an other sd ( 50$ ) !
Yep. I would say that SD card is starting to get corrupted. Time for a replacement.

How to capture clear pictures of the night sky?

Does anyone here know how to capture clear pictures of the stars in the sky? Is it even possible with the S7 Edge?
I'd imagine I would need to keep the shutter open for a long time and have the phone rest on a tripod. The only problem is that I can't figure out how to keep the shutter open long enough. The stock camera app only lets you keep it open for a few seconds.
I've never try it yet, but have you try using the third party camera?

Which 3rd part camera?
I tried it using the pro settings and keeping the shutter open as long as the built in camera app allows but it doesn't let enough light it.
I know I'm asking for a lot considering how small the sensor is and I can get the shots im looking for with a Cannon DSLR and a Samsung NX 500 but I'm just trying to see how I can do with the S7E.

You can try the Lenx app from the play store

Low shutter speed on the camera app

I got my phone over a month ago, and I'm loving the camera.
However, I can not find a camera app which lets me adjust the shutter speed at more than 10 seconds.
Camera FV-5 was what I was suggested, but it maxes out at 1/10s. Any help?

I dont know, but it reminds me that I've wanted to modify a case to attach to the piggyback mount on my telescope. How are you intending to mount your phone for such long exposure?

I have a few mini tripods and phone mounts at home, they should be sufficient. I would also use the headphones as a remote shutter to reduce shaking.
