Hi all,
A recent trouble on my phone ...
When I receive a notification (for ex, sms), I see my notification on status bar. When I clic on It, I can see my notification. But it still stay on the notification. If a Want to remove it, I had to swipe the notification to remove it.
I want my notification to leave when I select it on notification bar.
I use LightFlow. But it's the same when I remove Light Flow...
Any Idea ?
This is when new sms arrive: swipe on edge then swipe on lock screen then swipe on notification bar and you can still see the badge on sms app. Go to sms app then badge disappears. Well done Samsung- it is very nice done let say 'UI is polished'. One notification 20 clicks to get rid of it. And you asking why apple selling more phones. Can you imagine professional person with 100+ emails every day? Instead of 100 clicks every day he got fuc.... lost after 2 hours of clicking.

Hi guys, hope you can help!
Basically the embarrassing situation has occurred a few times now when I'm showing my friends some features of the DHD a personal text comes in which was meant for my eyes only, however the first two lines of it are displayed in the notification bar when it arrives.
Surely there's a way to stop this from happening!?
Cheers!

If you're using HTC stock messaging app then there is no way to stop it. A solution would be to use messaging apps from the market like Handcent SMS and the likes. It will give you the ability to pop the notification but does not show the content.
I've just had a friend ask me this as well. Wanting just a notification sound and icon rather than disclosing the sender or the message body on the lock screen or in the notification bar.
I've got a DHD and don't mind if people see what i'm receiving, even to the degree that i've installed an app called ChompSMS which brings up a window on the homescreen displaying the full message.
I had a fiddle with the ChompSMS settings and it seems that you can increase the privacy settings to make it anonymise the notification, however as soon as you unlock the phone it will still show the full text in a window - I only fiddled a little bit, but couldn't find a way of disabling this without losing other features.
I uninstalled ChompSMS (for the purposes of this experiment) and had a look round at the generic (HTC) messaging settings and it seems like it's all or nothing, as soon as you turn off the 'received notification' option it greys out the options below it, meaning that you get no notification whatsoever when someone messages you (except for the green circle on the messaging widget - if you have this on your homepage).
I'm going to try installing Handcent (another popular messaging app) to see if I can make it do exactly what my friend wants done. I'll message back if I manage it.
Mike.
So I like the stock TW messaging app a lot, and I haven't heard others complain about this so either it's just me, or I don't have my settings set up right. Whenever I get a text, I can read it in the notifications drop down, but if I swipe it away I still get the unread count circle by the icon on the home screen. Also, next time I get a text, the notification panel will show the previous texts as unread. I keep having to open the app up and click on all the "unread texts", except I already read the damn things! Is there not a way of marking the texts as read from the notification panel?
Upon receiving a text message it will pop up on the notification bar and when I swipe down I see part of the message and below I have the option to Call, or Reply to the contact. In the past I would always be able to select Call or Reply but I noticed lately as soon as I pull down the notification bar Call and Reply shows up for maybe a half a second then goes away and I can't choose one or the other. Anybody having this same issue and if so how to fix it? Very convenient to pull down the notification bar and hit reply instead of unlocking the screen and opening up the messaging app.
I use BlueMail for emails and on my S5 when I had 1 or 2 email notifications, it was possible to partially read the emails and hit the delete button right from the notification. I can still do this on my S8 but only after dragging down the notification to expand it first, which is damn irritating when i usually just want to take a quick look and hit delete. So is there any way to have that notification always expanded to its full side instead of having to drag it down to expand it (obviosuly applies to all notifications not just BlueMail)?
Having this issue from the day i bought the OnePlus 5. its not an isue, its just annoying some times. whenever i get an SMS i get like a carrier notification in black blackground on the bottom center of my screen. i also get the notification in the status bar. i dont want the carrier toast msg. any way to turn this off? this ONLY happens when i get an SMS and does not happen for other apps like Whatsapp.
