Hey guys,
Has anyone tried the experimental multi window feature on Marshmallow? Apparently by changing the ro.build.type from user to userdebug, this could be accessed in the developer settings. If this is works good enough, I will root my phone.
Yeah it works fine

Hello fellow S3 users,
Following the release of the new Android 4.3 update for the Galaxy SIII many people have discovered multiple issues, one being the loss of functionality of the Multi window feature. I'm not sure if this has already been posted but I stumbled upon a way to fix this problem. It is very easy to do:
1. Go to "Settings - My Device - Home Screen Mode"
2. Select "Easy Mode" and apply
3. Go back into "Settings - My Device - Home Screen Mode"
4. Select "Standard Mode" and apply
5. Go to "Settings - My Device - Display" and enable "Multi window"
Long pressing the back key should now bring up the Multi window panel.
Hopefully this works for you as it worked for me.
Thnks man, very thanks!
Thanks,it's some kind of trick to reveal hidden menu?

It's the apps' problems, they need to be programmed to support multiwindow

My update resulted in more than just a multi-window problem. My whole S3 became hightly unstable and continuously freezing. had to remove it.

Guys I am excited to introduce multiwindow for moto device running marshmallow
Introduction:
Google released Android 6.0 Marshmallow with many useful features, but you may not have used them all yet. There are some cool features that are disabled for quality reasons on the final release of Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
But if you have a knack for keeping up with the latest and greatest features on your Android device, you might want to get down to get all the features enabled on your Marshmallow running device.
Since Motorola devices run a near stock Android software (like Nexus devices), getting stock features (even the disabled ones) is pretty easier for Moto users.
With the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update to your Moto X, Moto X Pure/Style, Moto X Play, Moto G and Moto E, you can get Multi Window enabled on your device as long as you’ve root access.
All you gotta do to enable Multi window on your Moto device is open the build.prop file from /system directory and add “persist.sys.debug.multi_window=true” line to end of file (without quotes), save it and reboot device.
Android 6.0 Marshmallow has more features than it shows. Like the System UI Tuner which let’s you customize Quick settings panel and Status bar icons, there’s another hidden feature on Marshmallow that let’s you view multiple apps together in a split view.
Marshmallow has this new feature that Samsung’s Galaxy devices have had for years — Multi Window. However, Google meant this feature for Android tablets only, you can’t enable it on your Nexus 5, Nexus 6 or any other phone running on Marshmallow.
But if you’re rooted, there’s a workaround to get multi-window on your phone as well. You just need to make a simple change to the build.prop file on your device and it’ll have multi-window activated.
procedure:
1. Get root.
2. Download and install a file manager app with root access from Play Store (I prefer ES File Explorer).
3. Open your file manager app and grant it root permission.
4. Now go to /system/ directory and open the build.prop file to edit it.
5. Inside build.prop file, add the following line to the end (or anywhere) and save the file:
persist.sys.debug.multi_window=true
6. Reboot device.
7. Once rebooted, go to Settings » About phone » tap Build number seven times to enable “Developer options”.( if needed )
Go back to Settings » select Developer options » enable Multi-window from the list of options.
That’s it. This should get Multi Window on your Nexus 5, Nexus 6 and other Android phones running Android 6.0 Marshmallow. You can access/use it from the recent apps screen.

Thanks man,, now understood what needs to be done ... Cool...
xt 1563 :good:
Already a developer but couldn't find multi window option on moto 3 gen
I can't open the quick settings menu from the notification center and can't really do much. Only interact with already installed apps. I can't hange the user, I can't enable developer options I can't save the files via USB and neither does adb work.
I never worked with a Motorola, do you have any idea what I could try?
___
Android 6.0.1 // Build MPDS24.107-52-5
System version 24.201.5.lux_reteu.reteu.en.EU.reteu
(not rooted)

Hey everyone, today i have enable Multiwindow Mode in Le 2 x520. I have got this under Developer Mode options. But i am unable to use it. How can i get this features. Please reply me guys and help all the EUI guys.
For this you have to have rooted phones.
First of all,
Find Build Prop file,
Under Device>system>build prop,
Open Build Prop and find ro.build.type=user,
Edit ro.build.type=userdebug
Save it and restart the device.
Go to Setting, About Phone and tap on Build 7 times.
Go to Developer Mode
Under this you will see Multiwindow Mode
In this click on
Thanks.
Is this work on le2 x526??
I think it won't work on letv brand. Option is enable under setting but can't use this feature. May be the developer can explain.
It shall work if you enable Vanilla Status Bar.
For this you must have EUI Moder, which might be granted by xposed module.
I'm not sure but you can try, if you have some idea about rooted devices.
Have you checked the option in Accessibility>Multitask button!
Check whether there is an option added or not since in Vanilla rooms multi window is active via Multitask button! But in leeco it's menu as default for long press!
Hi.
May i ask if someone can provide a WORKING solution to modify without rooting via methods like sideload, usb debugging and adb a working method to replace the existing
CSC Files to have some important features back without triggerung any samsung modify checkings when the rest of the system still untouched.
To prevent here huge manual shell typings, is there still a working "gui" based "commander" which can speed up such operations, which is still working with Android 10 ?
The existing Solutions are mostly from 2013-2016 and Android 5-7.
It looks like it needs much more time for a working twrp solution or updated magisk method comes out, so i don´t talk about a root solution, just a solution to easyly debloat a little bit and make nessassary
changes on my actualy running CSC settings.
Further more i have the question is there any working "hidden" dial-code for using the IMS settings system app without having root. The IMS-Settings App is another great solution to fix local problems
with VoWifi and VoLTE without the need of modify CSC files. Whatever works. Or can i start the IMS Settings via a adb command to just make one time manual nessassary changes ?
Such things are nessassary when you use Dual SIM from different countrys and you use just one CSC set from the primary country. This results in not correct setted VoLTE/VoWifi Settings for the 2nd Card, to have it basicly working in Roaming when the priority and Data-Mode is changed to the 2nd slot. In the past i overcome this issues by creating a custom CSC for the ENTIRE DACH-Region where i include any Provider from any country without the need to change the CSC code later.
Actualy the A51 is heavyly bloat-overloaded and many of the samsung bloat it is not possible to "deactivate" completly with the usual on board features. like Bixbly completly....
