Android M sucks on my phone (N915F) - Note Edge General

So after waiting months for android M , I finally got the update.
I did a factory reset before I installed M (OTA)
After a few days , I recon everything must have settled in. But I have a few problems.
The battery drains 30% over night (8 hours, night clock off) Thats worst than 5.1.1
Turning on night-clock, it freezes somewhere in the night and will show one time till I wake up the phone and the time will refresh.
Total recall app does not record both sides of the call (all permissions accepted )
Fast charge does not switch off. The toggle shows its off, but still charges fast like and gets hot like fast charge.
I have only a few apps but is the same apps as I had on the 5.1.1.:crying:
Can we revert back to 5.1.1 ?
I see I cant copy anything from my PC to my phone via USB

You can go back to 5.1.1 through Odin.
By the way, did you try to perform a factory reset after the update? It could help.
And, for connect it to a PC as mass storage, you have to click on the voice that appears in notifications. Since Marshmallow it connects by default at "Charging only", you have to change it manually.

Hi mate,
I did do factory reset after the update aswell.
And at first I did not choose mass storage, but I could not see the phone in my computer.
I fixed that and now I can see the phone, copy from the phone to the computer, but not to the phone....

Hi everybody, after updating my note edge FY to 6.0.1 the notifications bar does'nt show quickpanel manager. Any help please!

[Q] ICS Update not working =(

hi guys
so i hooked up my n7000 up to kies via my mac. updated in progress then all of a sudden i get an error thru kies saying that the program had an error and to restart
on my phone it says "Downloading...do not turn off target!!"
for the past 3 hours.......
wut can i do without bricking my phone?? =(
never been rooted or anything!! please help!
well, there is nothing you can do but.
1. wait for it to wake up (doubt it) and the battery runs out
2. turn it off and hopefully it boots back up
No progres bar? Than you are lijeky to be fine, kies probably lost connection. Retart phone and computer and try again.
At own risk of course

As he said if theres no green progress bar you may be lucky and it may not have started the flash. The 'downloading...' message is a bit missleading. Pull the battery and give it another go. but it does sound a little risky. If it does that midflash :'( reboot the pc and make sure nothing else can interupt and make sure the usb is giving a clean reliable connection. Fluff in the port?
guys the phone just stayed in download mode and never disconnected the Kies on PC FC's so he doesn't a problem just us Odin and flash it mate you wont have a hard brick download the firmware there are several posts here with links or just goto sammobile and get it there download and flash thats all you have to do...
this is probably the most thing i hate about cables and PC (SH!T)
good luck.
hey everyone
yep thanks for the info!
what actually happened was i just took the risk and did a hard reset (aka battery pull) and after some time it started to resume the download after i hooked up back to my mac! so luckily everything eventually turned out ok! =) thanks for all the help!!

[Q] SAMSUNG GALAXY S3 Neo (GT- I9300I) Hard Bricked! (Was running Stock Android 4.3)

Hi XDA Community, I'm new to this Q&A sections and threads (excuse me if my english is bad)
What happened?
I have my S3 Neo (GT-I9300I) and I tried to download & flash Stock 4.4.4 KitKat Firmware of INDIA to my phone (which I purchased in Panama City (where I live)). As I flashed the official ROM (which I downloaded from Sammobile) my phone rebooted BUT as it turned on again, the Samsung logo didn't showed up and, instead, I got an error saying that normal boot couldn't be done.
I tried to reflash it again and this time my phone turned off to never turn back on again (or at least for now).
Now I try to press the Power Button and it doesn't turns on, tried to get it to download mode but nothing, even tried to plug it and charge the battery, but still doesn't powers up.
What's really odd is that I connect my phone to my PC (Windows 8.1) and my pc does this sound like when you plug in a USB Device.
But my phone doesn't appear as connected nor nothing. I've tried EVERYTHING but my phone simply won't turn on.
PLEASE HELP!!!:crying:

Plz how did you install twrp?
Sent from my GT-I9500 using XDA-Developers mobile app
Depending on the phone model #, you may be able to install the tar version of TWRP using Odin.

I'd do the next:
1. Get an OTG cable and a USB stick. Format the stick to FAT32 and throw any .apk file on it.
2. Download some 4.4.2, say, G900FXXU1ANCE and flash it with Odin.
3. Reboot to recovery and perform a factory reset.
4. Reboot to system and enter Setup Wizard.
5. Connect the OTG cable with USB stick attached. When the phone detects the stick you will see a pop-up window of file explorer.
6. Navigate to your .apk file (from p.1) and tap on it. You don't really need to install it, you only need a security request after your tap.
7. Tap "settings" and voila, you are in the security settings menu now.
8. Navigate to "reactivation lock" and untick it. You'll be asked to enter your Samsung account credentials or to register a new account.
9. Register a new account, log in to it an you'll be able to untick Reactivation Lock and disable it completely.
The trick will work on early 4.4.2 only.

It will work in any case.
There are other ways too.
Yes, a pendrive or something like a USB cardreader with a card, just to connect it as external OTG storage.
You are saying you cannot turn the phone on. What does it mean? What you do and what you see?

1. You should know that the first boot after a factory reset takes a long time, say, up to 15 min. I'd suggest waiting 20 min. and then make a conclusion.
2. If your phone freezes and restarts after a factory reset, it's a good idea to flash a stock ROM. Reactivation lock will not block flashing a stock ROM via Odin.
3. If your phone still behaves abnormally, it's more likely a hw memory problem (rather often for G900), not a reactivation lock problem. Reactivation lock would not prevent the phone from booting.
4. If you still interested in "other methods", have a look at this my thread. It's for SM-G900V and the files will not work for SM-G900F, but there are another files and the main idea will work.
But I'd like to say it again: seems, it's not your case.

1. I will try to wait longer time.
2. Where should i find stock ROM? My phone is in Telenor (Norway)
3. Beggining of the problem with my phone was that one day after turning phone on it came to samsung logo and start to scream ( wery loud noise ) and turned itself off. Since then it didnt pass trough samsung logo ever again. Then i started with factory resets and when it didnt help i tried to root it and put new ROM but all was blocked by R/L.

I have tried to put stock ROM and it didnt help. I was not sure which version should i use so i started with first one from the list. Odin says it was succesfull but phone is stopping now with recovery booting welcome page. It takes about one minute and the phone is off. I tried four versions of stock ROM and result is exactly the same.
Phone is not starting at all.
Should i try all versions of stock rom?

Hi,
I don't want to make you afraid but I was facing very similar problem and nothing helped but replacement of phone's motherboard at Samsung service centre -> my eMMc memory got corrupted for some reason.
Hopefully it is not your case but after reading your symptoms I wouldn't be much optimistic.

Any one is enough.
If you flashed a stock rom, performed a factory reset and the phone still restarts it is not a good sympthom.
I think, Many40 is right and it's time for a new motherboard.
There's nothing to be afraid of, it's just about $30 if DIY.
@Many40 @bbsc
Ok so i give up. I realy like this phone so i will give it to service for motherboard replacement since i have no idea how to do it by myself.
Thank you guys for help!
Cheers!
