After upgrading my P8 dual sim lite to the latest B550 firmware i have noticed that the notification light does not turn on for sms messages using stock app. It works for everything else even for google messenger app, the only issue i am having is with stock sms app. Does anyone else have this problem?

Dear all members,
I have encounter some problem with the notification when receiving a new SMS, it will sound the email notification with the icon on the top of the phone.
But when I check the inbox, there is no email at all.
Anyone can tell me how to resolve the problem?
Seems like nobody has this problem before?
I've had this issue since upgrading to the 1.72 O2 ROM but not sure how to fix it so just live with it as it's not all the time just randomly happens.

hotfix? whats that? I know for sure I don't have that.
Hmmm... I had similar problem too, when in SMS settings i add one person to VIP and i can't saw SMS from this person - i hear incoming SMS sound and nothing except.
Did you play with Safe inbox?
I have a problem in 20150714 rom. Push notifications (for example facebook messenger notifications) don't work in WiFi but only in data.
Does anyone have the same problem?
Is there a way to report this problem or any other problem found in the rom to Jiayu??

silly question, perhaps, does it work when wifi and data are both on?
Hi guys,
I had recently updated my firmware version on my Meizu MX5, and since then I haven't been able to send SMS messages with any SMS messaging app but system's own. I used to send and receive SMS using Contacts+ app, but now my messages are not sent anymore (even though it's set as default sms app).
I tried replacing my default sms app to system's default, and then back to Contacts+ but it didn't fix anything. I also tried to empty my messages log - but nothing has changed since.
Did someone experienced such bug and knows how to fix it?
Are you make a factory reset after update ?

I can confirm this bug. I also experience this issue. After upgrade I can receive text message on any sim (tested on three different apps).

He was talking about sending, not receiving!
The phone is on pure stock without root, The problem is media files(images/videos) received in WhatsApp keeps disappearing after 2 or 3 days. Does anybody face a similar issue? I have checked all the settings in WhatsApp and not able to find what causes this, Please let me know if anything can be done to prevent this.

Its a whatsapp bug search Google for fixes.

It's probably a WhatsApp bug.
But is it only with media?? What about whatspp messages?
Whatsapp messages are there, Only the media seems like blurred out and its not available in gallery too.

This seems odd. If the messages too were disappeared, then it was a whatsapp bug. But your case is different.
Have you tried reinstalling WhatsApp and restoring backups?
Have you searched the Whatsapp folder??
If you all these fails, try contacting whatapp.
If you want to use your medias(just a temporary solution only) then i recommend you to use any file recovery apps(Dumpster, DigDeep, Restore Image, etc).
So I recently got the mi 9t and it looks like my group messaging is messed up
I'm on T-Mobile, and on stock miui 10
Whenever anyone sends a group txt I get it but all replies are received as individual txt not under the group, not to mention I can't really reply to the group
Any help would be appreciated
I get this problem as well and I have decided to use Google's messages instead. I love the stock app but I can't find any solution to this problem.

Yeah I've been using Google messages app and still have this issue it's weird, I guess I'll just pay here if I ever find anything
Edit 1:So Textra turns out used to solve this issue on old miui devices and apparently still does, don't know why it "fixed" it but it works
Edit2: turns out that factory resetting while my sim was in it fixed it
