Need Help Random Reboot / Freezing - OnePlus 2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi Everyone,
It's been more than a month since I started using OP2 as my daily driver and below are issues that are keep occurring:
Random freeze & reboot while playing games ,typing message ,scrolling web.
Some apps just do not open
UC Browser crashes every once in a while
Some times whole screen goes black.
I'l tried all os available for op2 like
Oos 2.2.1 / H2OS / CM13 by @Seraph08 / Oos3.0 but..still same issues
PLEASE HELP !
Thanx In Advance.

And the logcat is where? Without it there is no way of telling.

I faced the same issue on my device. Nothing helped out, wiping cache, data, system etc.
Flashing other roms also didn't help.
Now it's in an RMA process, 4 days it was in repair and today the status switched to function test.
I hope they found something and repaired it.

What is RMA ?? Tell me about that....actually I visited service centre so many times but..they only did fastboot flash & said everything is OK..!

RMA = Return Material Authorization
That's the repair process. The support must authorize the checkup and repair and if that is done the device will be shipped back to me.
Now they have only updated the software, what I have done by myself, but if the issue still exist I'm eligible to get a replacement. Let's see.

[Q] NFC stopped working. Is there a way to determine if issue is HW or SW ?

Hello folks,
I've been using a few builds of ParanoidAndroid on my 16gb N7 (grouper) for quite some time.
Last update, thou, has broken my tab's NFC. Whatever NFC signal I try to use (tag, N4, Gnex), nothing happens, not even an error message. I tried several restoration and full wipes with no success and then decided I might as well go back to stock since 4.2.2 seems to fix most issues I had with it.
So I flashed the latest factory image, with a clean install (manually erased boot, system, userdata, etc. thru fastboot) and the problem is still here ! I performed 2 more factory reset without any success.
So before I return my tab (and that will be annoying cause it's probably gonna take them a month before it comes back), is there a way that would help me check if the problem is hardware or sofware related ? If it's software, there has to be a way I can fix it myself, so I won't bother send it to be repaired.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks a lot to anyone.
(and sorry if this question already exists, I couldn't find a thread about it).
You've already eliminated the probability of it being software.

Phone's wifi&bluetooth dead

Hey guys!
In the last week my wifi&BT stopped working suddenly, without any software change or new app installed. e.g. (when I swipe wifi, it looks like it is working, but cannot find any network)
mobile data still functions.
After reading quite a lot of manuals, I understood it might be a hardware malfunction, However, I tried to do few things already to understand if there might be another reason, none of the below worked
-Play with aeroplane mode and wifi.
-wifi fix applications
-Factory data reset.
-Wipe the phone and flash oxygen 3.1.0 via TWRP.
Before giving up, Wanted to ask if you have any advice that might help:
Any customized room that might will work?
Any way to check the phone log to understand what happens when we do it?
Any general advice?
Thanks in advance!
E.

Earlier today, my fingerprint sensor/home button completely stopped working.
I tried restarting, wiping cache and dalvik cache, re-installing the ROM, and I even went back to OOS and H2OS (both stock ROMs) to see if it would work. Alas, nothing worked.
A friend of mine then called me. I told him my home button is dead. He told me it happened to him once, and all he had to do was force restart the phone and it worked again.
I'll suggest that you try the same.
Hold the power button for ten seconds while your phone is on and it'll force restart.
Hope this fixes your problems, mate!

Suddenly, several problems o.O

Good morning guys,
I opened this thread with the hope that someone can help me.
A friend of mine, several months ago, bought a Xiaomi Mi A1. But suddenly, the phone shows different strange issues:
- It does not receive any notification.
- When you scroll down from the status bar, the phone shows just the first row of icons.
- The touch buttons do not work and this create a difficulty to use the phone.
- Emails do not arrive through gmail and others client.
- It does not download any games from playstore. It remains stucked on download but actually it does not download anything.
He would avoid the full-reset but if it could the only solution, he will do.
What do you suggest?
Could you ask him for a screen capture of his "about phone" screen from settings.
Same happen to me after last july update (full stock). It also included not being able to activate wifi. Factory reset solve it but I still experimenting one issue but I think it is magisk/xposed related: sometimes during boot just before introducing the decrypting password it says system process is not responding and I have to reboot many times.

Then don't report issues if you use Magisk or things like that....
P.S. "full stock" is FULL stock, not with Magisk and Root, i have a full stock phone and the only bug is the notifications Led always on (without pulse), already reported from some users, any other problem is Magisk/Mods releated.

Well first of all I'm NOT reporting any issue, I'm answering a report telling I faced the same and how I solved.
Then I tell the OP I'll also faced another issue that have not experimented previous to an update (and made a clarification that it could be magisk related).
Full stock means full stock. I had that issues with full stock factory reset July update. After solving the issue I flashed magisk and xposed. So in my reply full stuck means full stock and that's why I said full stock. Next time reserve condescension and hostility to those who post useless information or ask without searching or whatever but I was just sharing my experience with the community to try to help OP friend.
To sum up dear OP in my opinion your friend will have to factory reset the phone.
Ps. If you misunderstood my words is not my business you should ask before attack.
PS2. Not having an issue does not seem that there's no issue. I updated to June 8.1 before it was pulled down and I did NOT face sms issue that most user found.
Regards

Hey, sad to hear that you are facing issues, but it seems problem is something else, as you mentioned it rebooting on STOCK ROM as well so.
If you can share some screenshots of about device we can check BL version and few things also feel free to text me on telegram @neel0210 so that we can have proper convo and can help you as much as possible.
I too have freeze and reboot problem whenever I use device, its random and cannot be predicted when its going to happen,i tried all ROM ,still same issue persists
yes me too have freeze and reboot problem whenever I use device, its random and cannot be predicted when its going to happen,i tried all ROM ,still same issue persists
why we have same problem in same time? this is from samsung or what?
Hi, is there some new development yet?
Been having that same problem for the last few days now. There were short periods where I could use the device without any issues, but now it's restarting after just one or two minutes, if it even gets that far.
I have the same issue as well
For me the device fails to boot now.
The only way to get it to boot is force off encryption and using lineage.
Yet the phone panics in any app like even amazon.
Service people say it's hardware fault and needs the board to be changed costing 80% of what I paid for the phone itself.
Any help?
Guys, same issue is happening with my sister's A50 from last july(2021) and is still present. On stock rom it was not even usable but on lineage os i am able to use it for YouTube, songs and pretty much other stuff.
Looks like the issue is with the memory ic but I can't check it with anyone as in india even the people who repair devices are not well versed with knowledge and speculate on everything.
I've seen foreign repair guys, they have great knowledge when it comes to repairing of the devices.
I wish we had knowledgeable local repair guys in india too(went Little off topic but what can I do, I've been feeling this a lot lately).
If anyone knows anything or can point in the right direction then pls help.
Thanks for reading.

Random reboots after the last software update

My M30s (bought in September 2019) started rebooting randomly about a week ago. The last software update on the phone was in June 22nd (evidently the latest One UI Core update to version 3.1) . Device care did not show any red flags, but the restarts happen without any specific indication. I've sent error logs multiple times to Samsung support through the Samsung Members app, plus a log dump to a email address that was specified by another user on the Members site.
On the side I tried a lot of different things to try to stop these restarts, but nothing is helping.
I found out on Twitter that a number of Samsung Galaxy phones that came with same/similar Exynos processor have all faced this issue. And Samsung is apparently recommending a motherboard replacement.
https://twitter.com/i/web/status/1415681717919047700
If anyone else is seeing the same problem and has resolved this (without motherboard replacement), please reply with your solution!
But beyond that, I am trying to see if rooting the device and installing another will help. As a n00b, I have been struggling with that for the last two days. I've gone through the rooting process multiple times & patiently starting from scratch (flashing a stock ROM) every time.
But will rooting plus a custom ROM (Pixel Experience, potentially) get me past this random reboot issue?
Physically the phone still seems good and I have had no other issues before this random reboot problem started. So if persisting with a custom ROM install will help, please let me know. Otherwise, I will just shut this exercise and buy a new phone.
(P.S: Am a n00b. If someone can help me troubleshoot or can point me to a n00b proof rooting procedure), do let me know. The phone is no longer stock because I'm in the middle of another rooting exercise.)
I don't think you would have to root for that. You can just flash your original firmware to system which was working normally. You can find the files on the internet. You can use Odin and it'll be fine.

Rooting or flashing custom rom won't help as I've tried everything with my galaxy a50 but the issue still persists. It's related to hardware of the device. Maybe some loose connections in the motherboard. Unfortunately, we don't have skilled local repair guys in India(assuming you too belong to India) who could look into this.

If you under clock all cores below 1ghz and set selinuxe to permissive mode then magic happens.not even single reboot in last 26 days. Before it was restarting every 5, 10 minutes.
I am also facing the same issue with my M21, downgraded to android 10, but it didn't help. Any suggestions?
