Hi all,
I have unlocked bootloader, stock image but no root (was planning on selling it).
I haven't received the OTA yet.
Will the update make it through or do I have to relock the bootloader??
Thanks
OTA update process is long. In Nexus 7 tablets who have locked bootloaders are the same. That is normal.
So i guess it doesn't matter if it's locked or unlocked?
Thanks again
If you unlock the bootloader on your new 6P, will you be able to participate in Google 7.1 beta program? By the same token if you unlock the bootloader will you get OTA from Google?
YES
Yes, as long as you don't flash TWRP/SuperSU you will still receive Beta OTA.
good to know. thx op and all.
Hi everyone,
I'm probably asking a simple question, but I couldn't find the answer easily. Since yesterday, my phone can do an OTA update (24.201.6.en.EU) but my bootloader is unlocked (phone not rooted). Can I do the OTA update without problem, or do I need to relock bootloader (and i think that would reset the phone) ?
Thank's

On another note, will I lose root?
Is 24.201.6.en.EU Android 6.0?? Is there any confirmation on what this OTA exactly is?
It we can relock boot loader then what are the steps? And let me tell u my device is soak test updated and hence, can not be locked with previous stock rom.

you have to wait till official firmware is publicly available because u cant re-lock just by downgrading........
Is it safe to update from Nougat 7.1.1 with bootloader unlocked to oreo without softbricking the device or do I still have to lock the bootloader and then update?
Thanks in advance.
