Lollipop Custom Roms...?? - X Play Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is There Any Lollipop Custom Rom For X Play?
(Except 12.1)
Requesting To Make X Play Run Lollipop Custom Rom

I guess noone will bother to maintain any custom ROM based on such old system.

Why would you want lollipop roms when 6.0.1 roms are as smooth and stable in the meantime?

In the days of Marshmallow and seemingly when Android N is on the brink, No one would build a rom on lollipop.

There are people who still loves lollipop .... And that 2 lollipop Roms can be moreee stable than the latest version of Android (marshmallow & Android N).. That's the reason y people still like lollipop Roms on their X Play's...

But unfortunately Only cm12.1 is available which was last updated in January, so latest security patches aren't there.
Eventually, the MM Roms would reach the same stability level as LP and some have even reached that level.

Used RR on my X Play... There are more people who give priority to battery backup..but using RR rom I find that it gives only 4hrs sot...whereas n lollipop the sot time is about 6-7hrs (cm12.1)

You talked about stability, I gave you the answer.
Now battery life, I got 6 hours of SOT on RR.
Stability of MM Roms is now same as the LP Roms although battery life may not be.

Why will the developers work on an old version of Android?
Automated reply by JARVIS

Coz ... People like the interface of lollipop more than mm that's d thing im asking about LP Roms.. That 2 each and every Roms that comes to X Play should be maintained and preserved... And some people who play games in landscape face issues when they press recent apps key & some feel that there is no exclamation mark on their network bar... So y asking to maintain Roms in lollipop 2.

most probably no dev will do it. it needs time, energy and disk space which can be utilised to build new ROMs. if you are that desperate you can simply downgrade to LP or build a rom there are so many guides here, read for a few weeks and start building.

Too many roms, which one should I choose ? Which one is the best ?

I browse XDA everyday and these days there are so many new custom roms for OPX. I'm so confused choosing the one to be flash on my OPX (E1001). So I would like to make a vote so that everyone can share their experience about custom roms choosing. For me, After tried several roms I'm now back to OxygenOS since it's stable. Bluspark kernel gives me a smooth UX and fine performace in gaming. I got 27-29 fps playing Hearthstone on my phone.
Try them, read the forums and decide for yourself. Best rom threads aren't allowed on xda.

Yup. That's the best way. Just try em all. I don't even have a favorite. Some are better in different ways. Right now I am running Oxygen though. It's the only ROM supported by the Boeffla kernel right now
I means I just want to find a rom which has good battery and bug free for daily use.

Bro you can use boeffela kernel on h2os also I have flashed boeffela 7 for oneplus x OOS on h2os and it is running smoothly no lags at all and on benchmark it is giving a score of 68k to 69k by doing some customization by boeffela config app
I totally understand this poll.
Following OnePlus X development thread for some time now, it is quite difficult to choose one of the ROM.
For those saying that we need to try them ... I tried most of them and can't figure out why using one compare to the other ...
Most of them are CM based or include exactly the same feature.
I remembered using TeamEOS ROM and this, was completely different (in my point of view). Some extra goodies included but all from them, with some differences (gestures instead of navbar).
I don't want to be rude dev, but except AOSParadox, all are quite similar for "normal" users (not developpers I mean) and when using one, you tried all of them ...

The biggest thing for me, that there are no bugs. No wifi bug, no invalid number bug, build in superuser works, so no need for supersu etc.

I tried some custom ROMs but battery life is nothing like OxyOS..
I found screen on time 5.5-6 hr in oxy os & it's great...
So I am Desperately Seeking
Is there any Custom OS based on OxyOS/H2OS ?
yeah i would like a h2os lite version but not holding my breath for it. h2os with boeffla kernel flies. 71k antutu score.
also this vote will only show how many users r using their preferred rom. it will not show the best rom.

That's the very good news....
Custom H2OS may be better ..
Any way ???
So for me it's either ashwins cm13 or purity. But what all custom ROMs currently lack is encryption.
That is one thing (I know it is hard to implement) I really would like to see in the next builds as it is for me an essential feature when you are using a custom recovery and an unlocked bootloader. I hope there will be some focus on it within the next weeks.
The only option for now is: stay on stock

[Request] Custom kernel for Kitkat roms

It will be great if we get custom kernel for kitkat roms.. Like miui/cm11 .. Kitkat roms are best in terms of stability. So I request devs to compile kernel for kk if possible
A request to your request.. build it your self, its faster than waiting for someone who is not gonna do it..

Its marshmallow time. Why you wanna go down to kitkat when the stable MM roms is available now? Its out date. As pirej said, build your own custom kernel if you really want it!!!
i don't know why? really like kitkat rom very much. i heavily use internet with both 3g and wifi for almost 15-18 HOURS per day. i know marshmallow is stable now but with heavy usage cpu temperature goes over 50 it makes phone very hot we can't touch it. in kitkat with same usage got temperature around 44-46 and never crosses 50. so i am staying with kitkat. he is just requesting u not forcing u to make a kernel

yeah like he just said, kitkat doesnt overheat like Lollipop and Marshmallow. Unfortunately building a kernel isnt as easy as flashing a Rom so many of us can't do it. I myself keep flashing over and over again, coz when im on M, my phone overheats and i miss MIUI interface. when im on kitkat, i feel outdated. i have an internal conflict (((

AOSP/CM12 ROM FOR KENZO(REQUEST To DEVS)

hi guys
as we all know we don't have proper sources for android 6 from Xiaomi and we all are facing some issues with all the custom ROMs and kernels based on these sources. As of now 5.1 sources Are stable and also support VOLTE which a lot of us are using now a days so KINDLY REQUEST DEVS to make at least one good AOSP (RECOMMENDED) (am using one from @MrColdbird) as it has an awesom life of battery and is too smooth and fast with at least one kernel to have control on our device. it will be of so much use for all of us until we get all correct sources from Xiaomi for MM.
see the battery life of this.. i used mm based ROMs and kernels but all gave 5mins on screen time with 4g data but aosp 5.1 gave on average 10MINS SOT WITH 4G DATA ON. screenshots of both sot and idle battery backup attached from betterbatterystats.
any custom ROM CM/RR/CRDROID/DU etc based on 5.1 will b awesome I think

where as stock kernel rocks
the main reason to ask for new ROM based on 5.1 is that has become too old and its not that customizable plus no kernels support.
the devs are behind 6.0 as its upstream they are moving with stream

Well if u say my suggestion then try rr nougat or give a shot to cm 14.1
I use aicp because cm14.1 has stopped the development and maintainer of that thread is currently merging through Lineageos which usually takes time (even lineageos is not out till now officially)
Cm 14.1 has multi window which aicp doesn't have but aicp is ahead of cm14.1 for weeklies

AICP is very fast and very stable with most everything working well. My only issue is camera performance but I may be in the minority with that issue.

I never had any problems at all, battery life is better than most 3rd part roms but not quite stock (Moto knows how to optimize a rom), about 3 hours or so over a full day.
Again, I'll say the same thing as others, try them out, it's easy to do.

BrokenOS devs don't allow links to be shared here...
How could you not find it with Google, just type BrokenOS and that's it and the first two results are the official Google+ group and their website called Dysfunctional ROMs... Easy from there.

Most Stable ROM For Redmi 2 Prime

Hey guys,
Please suggest me a good custom ROM for redmi 2 prime with my priorities being(in that order)-
1.Less/No bugs
2.good battery backup
3.less heating
PS - I don't mind if the ROM is marshmallow or nougat and volte support is not necessary.
Mokee 5.1
Cm11
Cm13
Xosp MM
Aosp Extended N
Cm12.1
Last but not the lease Nexus Experience 10.3
Any Latest Dev MIUI build will be good for you.
Actually u r on XDA.
So I think the best option read the ROMs threads post (not all ...LoL) and try by urself. And see which suits u.
Don't forget teslaN, best N roms based on my experience.
