Can't understand why Sony has to do this every time... It might be last update for Z2..
They should have provided all the features that Z2 is capable of including Latest UI and boot animation etc with this update :silly:

@ravdo is correct. The final beta build was 570. And later Sony released it as Official FW as it is stable enough..!!

have you ever seen a beta firmware shown in XperiFirm? It's also rolling through PC companion normally. If it was Beta, PC companion would have stated that..!!

Ok, it works with root!
I'm not responsable for any damage of your phone. Make a TWRP-backup first.
Here are the steps for install with LB:
First I don't know if it's needed but I've installed busybox from Playstore for the last beta.
1. Download the latest MM for US via Flashtool and XperiFirm or any other .570 ftf for D6503.
2. Download the 3 files from here.
3. Then make a prerooted zip with the ftf and the SU Beta, include all data in the zip (tick all boxes for include) but without any recovery. Here a prerooted zip made with prf creator 0.5. It's US 570.
4. Install the prerooted zip then the byeselinux_flashable.zip and the RICDefeat.zip.
5. Reboot, after that you can install the latest recovery from here.
I didn't wipe any data and I came from the Beta .486
Root and recovery are working perfectly! I will test if there are any bugs.
I didn't test other scenario like UB or install the prerooted zip on Lollipop.

I don't know which app you mean. On LP and MM there isn't any fix for it. You have to grant the permission writing on SD card for every app.
I'm uploading the zip to MEGA. I think 30 minutes and it's going to be uploaded.

I tried to flash this one after latest 4.3 10.4.1.B.0.101
After flashed rom through Philz recovery and flashed Stripped .ftf file i can't get into boot nor to recovery.
I see sony logo but after that backlights just stay on and nothing happens.

Thanks, but I looked into it more. Since the tmobile version has a locked bootloader, I don't think we can flash this.

You can flash this on a Locked Bootloader did it also on my Hutchison Drei Austria LTE Version works fine.
You just need Root and a Custom Recovery thats pretty much all.
Just follow the instructions one the frist page

PROCEDURE
Download Zip
After Unzip -
MAKE FOLDER TWRP
Then CREATE INSIDE TWRP----> BACKUP
Then CREATE INSDIE BACKUP ------> Your Serial NO (Put Your Device Serial No. as folder name)
inside this folder(device serial no name folder) put downloaded unzipped ""lollipop 5.0.2""
After all above process, copy the folder TWRP to internal memory
When finishing copy, reboot into recovery and restore the backup
clear cache/Delvik (optional)
REBOOT

yes you do get the updates. its the officail zip and you will be un rooted. so no worries there. what worries me is the twrp link. why would we need twrp?

because its a back up of the 5.0.2 system partition from a OTA zip, 5.0.2 was only approx 39mb update to 5.0.1 . so to get it as a complete 5.0.2 package it has to be via backup for the time being.

yeah its a twrp backup of official aisan retail ota 5.0.2 (stock backup) so for restore it you need twrp recovery with unlock bootloader

Pls be noted that if you restored twrp backup & expecting Official OTA over it then you always wait for an update. Better option- Rite now restore twrp backup & when we come to know that official updates are rolling out then revert to stock Kk & grab OTA...SIMPLE...:good::good:
By the way eagerly waiting for the link, as rite now i'm on soak Braz twrp backup LP 5.02..

Tryed flash with TWRP 2.8.4, after 1 (one) second TWRP say: Successfull, but I don't have system in my phone...

have the zip file with mega app downloaded with my cell phone, and zip was not complete, now I'm trying to pc and check first with winrar if the zip file is ok, and then I try instalation

driulian, FTF file is plain firmware, without root and recovery, only ZIP package has them

Sony has started to roll out the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update for the Xperia Z.
Thus,I have created this firmware with pre-rooted tool & added SuperSu, Xposed Framework & also XZDualRecovery 2.8.23
You will need to have an Xperia Z C6603 running stock 5.0.2 / 5.1.1 firmware with rooted & custom recovery ( prefer TWRP ) installed in order to flash the zip.
It will only work on locked bootloader.

Prefer to clear internal storage if you are upgrading from 4.X based rom.

Same here. I'm using TWRP. I'll download and try again.

This ZIP is not flashed. ZIP is manually decompress, and 3 ZIP files included. Other files is SIN. Installation Must from PC from tool for flashing. This zip No directly for flashing. Author, please edit installation steps for others. thanx.

I don't think you can yet.
You need to be rooted already on an older firmware and install a pre-rooted zip.
Can I flash directly 23.4.A.1.232 with TWRP (pre-reooted zip) if I use 23.1.A.1.28 (lollipop 5.0.2) or I need to upgrade with 23.4.A.0.546 and 23.4.A.1.200 before ?
New to z3c and PC companion. It's telling my phone is up to date. Does the companion also have different roll out dates for updates?

Flash directly the new firmware but do a full wipe since you come from an older android version.

it can only update from your specific version and currently it looks like no providers have updated, only generic.

Wipe cache and dalvik is not enough ? If I do a full wipe, I lose everything on the phone ?

You can flash diretly but i advise you to make a full wipe after you flash it. Backup crucial data before flashing.

No, just the latest one. For older ones use Flashtool and XperiFirm or various sources trought the web.
