Epic is bricked!!! need help!!!! plz!!!!

can someone help me fix it?

Post this in Q&A instead of general.
Also provide more information.
1. What specifically did you do..step by step
2. What is the phone doing to make you think it is bricked?
3. What have you tried to do to resolve the issue?
4. Have you searched the forum and found the thread on "How to fix a bricked Epic?"

I was using oden and i had on download mode but i took the battery out before the phone reboot... its stuck with a "phone ! computer" logo im looking in the forum for help but cant find the answer... i searched youtube too

Whenever you get the Phone/Computer logo, pull the battery, then hold 1 and power on. It should go back to download mode. It has happened to me lots of times due to Odin failing to flash (I usually have to rotate pit's before Odin finally flashes for me).

tried that but still no luck... should i reset my desktop?

it was stuck on one spot and only went to download mode... that is being bricked right?

No. Being bricked is when it wont even enter download mode, and there is no way get it back. If it will get into download mode, you can Odin it back to stock, and so it is NOT bricked. It is VERY hard to really brick this phone.

The term bricked gets thrown around a lot, but when something is bricked it means you can't use it for anything other than a brick. Unless you royally mess something up you should always be able to hold down the number 1 and power to get to download mode.
Now if you can't get your computer to recognize your phone for what ever reason that is another story. That is usually just an issue with you not having your drivers properly installed.

Officially bricked means "up the creek without a paddle" or in other words, you made a 250-600$ mistake. It is when you get absolutely no reaction from the phone or that no one has ever been able to bring the phone out of that specific state back into working order.
If you get the phone working using the tutorial "How to fix my bricked Epic" then it really wasn't "bricked" in the first place. Glad to hear you got it back.
...also I am very proud of the epic forum goers for not completely murdering this guy for this post..

Hard bricked my LG2, help?

Hi guys. I did something very stupid and by mistake flashed wrong version of AutoRec on my LGD802. No I am stuck od "fast mode started", what ever I do. Is there any help for that device or I just need to take it to service and pay the bill. Thanks. Very stupid mistake.

Tried going back to stock?

(860) Fastboot mode started
(910) udc start
And that comes after everything, fastboot or download mode or white screen. Windows 7 cant recognise it, I installed drivers before connecting G2 but under SM buss controller there is nothing recognized.
I would try to going back to stock but I dont know how and I am afraid that that will be hard without windows recognizing G2. Sry my english is not so great. I am from Croatia. Thanks for very fast response.

I tried few way to go back to stock but nothing works. G2 is recognized like Android phone but like USB Modem Phone ADB so I am stuck. I am not even sure that battery is charging and I could end up with paper weight soon.
I get in download mod for like half of the second and then Fastboot mod started takes over. Two big problems no download mod and G2 in windows 7 64. Hard reset doesn't work neither, Fastboot takes over again. How stupid i was not to look what file is downloading, first is the newest I thought in my stupid head.

Thanks for giving me some hope. I never planned to root that phone until I saw that great Xdabbebs Camera Mod. Rooted with no problems and that screwed it up like a overexcited 10 year old. I still got warn out GS3 for usage, works fine but looks like crap but that G2 screen all black hurts a lot.

well like I mentioned if it is seen by adb devices we should be able to be fixed by flashing the correct partitions with fastboot

ok then

Something new on the screen. I ve installed ADB drivers and no I have"fastboot OEM unlock" and "partition get size 104576 bytes" and it stands there. ADB still can find device and G2 is still shown as Android phone, USB modem ADB port.
Also got hardware key control mode

On more thing. Phone is now unrooted. At least root checker says so. That is normal I suppose.

Lg g2 stuck in boot loop, vzw i have tried everything need serious help!!!!!!!!!!!

Been running pac rom, tried installing a custom ROM that was almost stock kitkat for Verizon. Forgot to wipe i think, and now i have been screwed since. Stuck in boot loop. Factory reset can be reached, but screen goes black everytime and doesnt allow me to get into TWRP. Only thing accessiable is download mode. But device is not recongized in adb, only when its bootlooping. But it is recognized in devices and printers in bootloop. New computer also, no RSA authentication, while in bootloop ive tried to adb boot recovery commands, but no authorization. Im completly stuck and have been for days, ive read so many posts but everything i have found doesnt match all my problems. and most people dont read the entire post or problem before submitting a dumb answer, which is a duh i tried that kind of thing thanks for nothing. SO PLEASE HELP IF YOU CAN THINK OF ANYTHING ELSE. IM GOING CRAZY OVER HERE AND LOOSING MY MIND> WHO EVER CAN HELP ME, IS GOD AND SHOULD BE CONSIDERED TOP DOG GENIOUS>

When you get to the white Factory Reset screen, pressing the power button 3 or 4 times won't get you back into TWRP?

that doesnt work because it thinks its got the latest version. I need some real help bad, its so hard not having my phone. This would be easy if my laptop didnt get stolen that had authorization to do cmd commands. Anyways, really need some brain power put togeaher on this on and \fast. Is anyone down with maybe skyping with me, to visually see whats going on and troubleshoot it as if you were remoting into a computer. Use the official lg support tool to restore it if you can enter downloadmode!!!!

vs98010b stock rooted

Bricked Phone

Hi everyone
I have a Videotron LG G2 ( D801). I was running stock 4.4.2 stock + rooted but i could not acces recovery, so i download AutoRec from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2715496
i grant the SU permision and everything goes ok, i try to go to the recovery and it gets stuck in the fastboot mode, there i cant do anything ( no recovery no normal boot,) i only can go to the hardware key configuration and to the hard reset, but i can not reset it ( it goes right to the fastboot mode)
I have tried several methods to flash stock but everything gets stucked when i try to connect my cellphone in download mode to the pc, it doesn't detect it ,o there's no progress bar or anything .
Yes ,i have the lg drivers.
EDIT: After some research i managed to get the download mode working, but my pc does not recognize it. If i manage to make my pc recognize it everything will be ok

Hope you get yours working, i could not so i haad to send it to a cell phone shop to repair it and they were not able to do it.
So i had to pay to LG to repair it :/

I sugest you contact lg to repair it. They have a flat rate repair and they are relatively fast ( i sent my phone on monday and i got it 7 days later).
I paid 101 CAD ( including taxes) and the postage (13$) wich is not that much for a phone that's worth 500$.

LG G2 - D802 - Bricked... need urgent help...

I was installing MIUI v6, it did got install but many things were not working.
So i did the stupid thing and changed the kernal through twrp.
And NOW:
My phone is bricked, it stays on the LG logo.
I tried to go into downloading mode but it does not detect the usb to computer connection.
So I am unable to to use LG tool to install stock rom kdz.
because it does not detects the usb in downloading mode....
please help me around this problem.

I got the same problem here after using MIUI and trying to get out of it.
Stuck in bootloop, no recovery, download mode stuck at first screen, phone not being detected by pc and no flashing led anymore.
Anyone help us please, my phone is out of warranty too

everything you need is here.
check again if you don't have USB connection of any kind. If you do have something in the PC responding to the G2 being connected, it isn't a hard brick and you can fix it with this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2582142
Otherwise you just have to do this short the caps thing. Be careful and renember that this is always a better option than staying with a bricked device. You can also try to give the phone to some experienced repaired and tell him about the method and how will it cost.

You must use the img files that correspond to the ROM you have installed before getting the problem to avoid breaking your phone. The link above is for 10b_EUR_16G firmware version. So don't use those files if your firmware version was not that one. Instead you should look for img files corresponding to the current version installed in your phone. If you don't know what version you've installed then don't use this method because you will break your phone.

You have to know which model your phone is.
Do you know your phone's IMEI? http://www.lgkdz.com/ Go here and it will get the file you need to download via your IMEI (even though it is risky to put the IMEI in the internet).
Otherwise you can just search for your kdz file by knowing what model you have and what stock rom you had last time. You can always revert to that.
Mine is D802 32GB, has V30b-EUR software. That is enough for me to get the correct kdz file even by searching in the links provided in the tutorials I mentioned in my last message

My phone is bootlooping and recognized as "LGE Android MTP Device" only,
I can't back to stock using kdz, can't ADB sideload
Any ideas how to solve it?

Do you have access to download mode? Since your PC recognizes the phone as MTP Device, I'm not sure but I think that's only possible if you have /system/ working since the other partitions don't have MTP support originally.

Flash with the tot method and you should be good to go.
But wait for someone who can confirm what I'm saying since I'm no expert.

I can access download mode, but when i connect my phone (on download mode) to my PC nothing happened, and my phone is not detected even as MTP device
