Anyways to answer your question OP, the best battery life I have gotten was on Smokkie's Note 5 Port V5. Make sure you download V5, not V7.
I have gotten like 5 and half hours on SOT on this rom.
Another Rom you can try is Arya Mod 8.1 .
Good luck!

Better battery life? Well... TouchWiz is not very battery friendly IMO, I use what you can see in my sig + Greenify and Amplify. Both apps can be very helpful in battery matters. Just google for em and check the first few results from xda-developers and you will find quite some nice things to optimize. My battery life on a heavy work day with phone heavily in use is about 28hrs

I´ve tried AOPK, OMNIrom and CM10.1.3 and CM11 and for me the best battery performance I got was from CM 11, battery life is great.
I found AOSB n sensonic having best battery life.. Bt battery life depends on ur usage. 3g, wifi, music, videos n calls. I do a lot chatting on whatsapp n 3g all day on. Used 2 get more than a day battery life. Nw shifted 2 a tw rom for a change..
Regards.

the ROM with the best battery life that i have tried is DITTO3 v4.1 (android 4.4.2). All Samsung's utilities (s.pen, multiwindows, camera etc etc..) with a more that one day of use (3G and 5/6 hours of screen).
I myself found TouchWiz ROM having better battery life. I do a lot of tweaking on aosp, probam, paranoid, but still found battery life is not so good. I tried custom kernel with undervolt. It doesn't really improve too much battery life. My sot target is 6 to 8 hours.

Which rom are you using? I only get 2-3 hours of screen on time :S
phantom v7.0
I tried a lot many roms.......comparing all...I found carbon had amazing battery life and less bugs compared to other cm11 base aosp roms (excluding cm11).......on tw best was phantom v7....I managed to get 7hrs sot with total time of 1+ days with 3% remaining....full stock.....no tweaks by me (first cycle)....with 5-6 mathches on fifa 14......a lot of facebook and loads of whatsapp....and that too all on mobile data...no wifi
See the screenshots for phantom v7

Which is the best ROM for galaxy note 3 considering battery life?

I've tried cyanogenmod 12.1 and 13. They give terrible battery life...
Plus I've tried phronosis v5.2 which is ok..but not that much great with battery life..
So, which is the best ROM for note 3 considering battery life(without lag)?

Try Stock ROM or AryaMod (stock based) and flash Lean or Idle Kernel for battery life.
because Stock gives better battery anyday!
bob
Testet many roms but best and stabale battery friendly is aryamaod 5.3
The best is still debloated Kit Kat rom, either from jamal or rayman95 ☺

Try to look at ROM as linux distros.
Every ROM is bunch of apps, graphic and services put together while kernel is the one who makes the calls.
Kernel tells how every piece of hardware is going to be used including battery/cpu/gpu.
By installing custom kernel and lowering max freq. and minimizing active services you should get best results.
There are also undervolting uoptions and much more.
All in all its sad that you didint even bother to read any of existing articles about how android works ,battery management and kernel optimization.
Here are few articles you should read.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/ROM-VS-Kernel

Best battery friendly MM ROM?

Anyone has the most battery friendly combination of ROM and kernel? I've tried almost every MM ROM but doesn't satisfy me. I just bought a new battery recently for my D802 and still draining fast. Im using latest bumped twrp. I have never had an SOT of more than 4 hours of normal usage. Now I'm barely getting 3 hours sot and it sucks. So any tips will be appreciated thanks!
Hi,
the PA-Rom is very battery friendly.

I've tried that too. What kernel tweak you use and settings?
I should have mentioned that I have been using the Lambda Domino Stable kernel and the efficiency battery profile. I also use Greenify for doze on the go (aggressive doze).
I use PA with the original Kernel. Battery life is for me like Stock KitKat.

PA sucks. Couldn't get root access always secure booting error happens.

I once use beanstalk and the battery is really fine but when i changed ROM and install again Beanstalk battery was never the same. I don't know what went wrong. I've always used greenify.
Using PA with Lambda Hipnose Beta 9 kernel right now. Using lots of alarm/wakelock blocks etc with amplify and greenify. Battery life seems okay, but I'm asking myself if exodus, beanstalk or resurrection remix would do better? Did anyone try and can make a direct comparison? I care more about battery life than about performance tbh. Thanks in advance!

crdroid was great, with aggressive doze !
Currently on XOSP with latest lambda beta. Averaging 4hours SOT from 100 to drain. Basically lasts a day with minimal gaming and mostly web surfing, youtube and facebook. Performance kinda lags but tolerable.

Only issue is there are barely any batteries available. I was looking for a new battery on Ebay and Amazon, though I could not find any with enough positive ratings/reviews.

I Tried CM Roms not very good on drainage but you seem to have a good battery hrs. Straight wifi/date my note 3 only gets about 2 hrs all on Phronesis/Aryamad 6.5 and Aryamod v2.1
I found AryaMod S7Edge v6.5 to be the best of the lot.
Galaxy S5 port 6.0.1 is the best.

Chemical orientation of battery gets jumbled over time resulting in lesser juice than normal. Hence, it needs rest of a month or two. You better purchase a new battery and give rest to your old battery after charging it to 100% and then keep alternating the new with the old one. Means, keep one battery inside for a month or so then replace it with the other. This way your new and old battery will perform almost identical and their life will prolong as well :fingers-crossed:

Custom rom is up to you. Speaking of kernel, I believe Superstock is the most battery friendly.

First of all - congratulations and best wishes. :good:
Now about your topic.
There is no concept of "Best " regarding to custom rom (atleast I think so). It may depends on your need and choice.
But as an user I can share my opinion with you. If you have the Exynos version of S7 Edge, you may try this one (any version you like) :
https://forum.xda-developers.com/s7-edge/development/android-nougat-7-0-beta-1-rom-test-t3498664
I`m using this rom for long time and it`s really an excellent rom and I`m using it as my daily driver (V.12.2). This is stable, smooth. You may try this one with the Stock kernel or TGP Or super kernel ( as mentioned in earlier post) Or any other kernel for your device ( it`s upto you).
But first you should read the instructions carefully before flashing and obviously at your own risk.

I`m using Official Nougat Rom (V.12.2 ) by ambasadii with stock kernel and with no battery saving apps or options.
My usages is more or less as same as you. Though I`m not using facebook.
Actually I`m also not satishfied with the battery life (5 - 5.30 h. of sot). I`ve got a little bit extra SOT than you (sorry, uploading the screenshots is not working properly. It says some network issue. ).
I`ve just installed the Greenfy app and activated. Let`s see, what will happen.
If it will not work, then may be I`ll switch over some other version or pure stock.
BTW, It`s interesting. Want to flash this one again. Have a look :
