Go to your file explorer ..then Root/system/build.prop , then open the file in a editor & add this line on the last of the build.prop & Reboot once
Code:
qemu.hw.mainkeys=0
If you don't want navigation bar means Remove the "0" & Replace It with "1" & Reboot once ..
Code:
qemu.hw.mainkeys=1
...
Good Luck ..

Nope you can't ..as it needs a system level change .. You need to reboot once for sure, After enabling or disabling the N Bar ..

[HOW-TO][GUIDE] Set CM7 Theme as Default when cooking ROMs [With Screenshots]

This is a how-to guide one how to set a theme chooser theme as default. I see a lot of users asking for it, so I decide to make a guide.
Download Theme Chooser Theme
Download apk manager from here or here and extract it to C:\apk-manager\
Place your theme apk in place-apk-here-for-modding folder
Open Script.bat (Screenshot)
Choose Option 22 - Select Project
Select your theme
Choose option 9 - Decompile Apk
Go to Projects
Open AndroidManifest.xml
Copy the pluto:themeID and package (Screenshot)
Open Build.prop and scroll down to the end
There will be two lines like: persist.sys.themeId=Cyanbread and persist.sys.themePackageName=com.tmobile.theme.Cyanbread (Screenshot)
Change them to match your theme
Now copy the theme apk to /data/app/ or /system/app/ of the ROM you are cooking or the theme won't work
If you follow my guide, please press the Thanks button

Me too I don't want post another thread so I use this one..
How do you change the default theme in CyangenMod 10 I don't think this work work with it cos the 2 line in the build.prop are not there no more,
So If a dev that has changed the theme in CM10 can post about it it would be great..
Thanks for reading..

you want the stock rom`s status bar or jelly blasts original status bar??
1. For stock status bar:
1. if you have a nandroid backup available then extract the system.rfs.tar using root explorer or any other program and go to /system/app and copy systemUI.apk.. place in your system folder and set permissions to rw--r--r-- and reboot
2. If no backup available then get a phone with rooted stock rom and send systemUI.apk via bluetooth
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
2. For jellyblasts original status bar:
1. Go to applications-->manage applications and clear data of status bar greper and reboot (if you want to remove the modifications done)
2. (May not work especially if you have installed any tweaks) Reflash ROM without wiping anything (not recommended though on an non CM rom)
3. (If you want statusbar of jellyblast v3.0.0) Using root explorer delete systemUI.apk and statusbargreper.apk from /system/app.. extract systemUI.apk from jellyblast ROM zip and place in /system/app/*here* and reboot

If you want to hide the softkeys you can use "GMD Auto Hide Soft Keys" from the play store
It has the theme you want (Zenyth by Arz Bhatia)

That app is not very reliable it seems.
Now i have done what ingoljsh has told and all is well. I did this through G2 xposed.
Installing GMD replaces the nav bar correct? Is it possible i can swipe up only for certain designated apps?

You can always flash cloudyflex 2.0, and then hide the softkeys with a feature inside the rom where you can choose exactly which apps you want the softkeys to be removed from.

MODS for 4.4.2 on GT N8000/8010/8013

Now that we have 4.4.2 ROM (test build though) how about focus on getting goodies from Note10.1 (2014 Edition) like air command etc. As we know the features for the Note10.1 (2012 edition) would be limited even in the final build of this ROM it is upon the mighty developers here at XDA to make our very capable device perform its optimal.
The snote mod from 2014 note10.1 developed by eric-mod. This is not my work but I am simply putting all mods for convinience.

Only for rooted ones running this rom.
Download an build.prop editor from the play store or sth like that and change the following lines to :
"ro.product.name=viennaltexx" and "ro.product.device=viennalte"
"ro.product.model=SM-P905"
This will activate some hidden function. You'll get the Note PRO recent apps and notification toggle icons!

I've actually gotten used to just leaving more of my most frequently used apps open. It's faster when multitasking. Hopefully the next update fixes the huge memory leaks.

It'll overlap with the cards which makes it slightly difficult and less convenient to place it there.
Here is how you can add battery percentage to this mod
Decompile SystemUI.apk get it here
Add smali to SystemUI\smali\com\erryy get it here
Recompile SystemUI.apk
Decompile SystemUI.apk
Edit SystemUI\res\layout\keyguard_status_bar.xml (this is lock screen & will prevent double percentage)
On line 12
change
PHP:
android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content"
to
PHP:
android:layout_width="0.0dip" android:layout_height="0.0dip"
Edit SystemUI\res\layout\signal_cluster_view.xml (this adds percentage where there is no percentage for battery)
Add this on line 15
PHP:
<com.erryy.BatteryText android:textAppearance="@style/TextAppearance.StatusBar.Clock" android:textSize="@dimen/battery_level_text_size" android:paddingLeft="6.0dip" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="fill_parent" android:singleLine="true" />
Recompile SystemUI.apk and push it to System/priv-app/SystemUI/SystemUI.apk
Make sure the permissions are correct and reboot your phone

hey, gaynych, thanks for the great mods. I’m currently using your “Center clock and the battery charge in percent” mod and I really like it. I also wanted to use this mod “Add Clear All Recents” but for some reason I can’t seem to get both to work on my stock N5 at the same time. I try flashing one zip after the other but only one would work at a time. I also try flashing one first reboot and then flashing the other but only the last flash would work but not both at the same time. I’m I doing something wrong. or can you please combo them into one zip. a combo zip would be awesome and a back to stock zip. would be great to. Thank you so much for the great mods. :good:
