Rooted my Moto x pure 6.0 and is now stuck on motorola logo after trying to install supersu.
Nope, I didn't make a backup before I tried to install supersu.
I have access to recovery.
Is it possible to flash android 5.1 to my device?
Should I just try to flash another custom rom?
What happens if I do a factory reset ?
Thanks in advance.

supersu version 2.62-3
http://forum.xda-developers.com/app...arshmellow-t3219344/post64161125#post64161125
Thanks.....flashed it but still stuck on bootloader, but a little further on.
Instead being stuck on the M it now is stuck on the M with the stitching circling.
Wipe cache and flash latest su might fix it. Or full wipe and do 2.62-3 again.

I did wipe cache and davlik cache before I installed 2.62-3 and that got a little further along in the boot process before it started to loop again.
When you say full wipe, your talking about a factory reset?

okay..try 2.62 version of supersu. This will work for sure.
HERE IS THE LINK
2.62-3 then flash any thing above that version.
1) Try 2.62-3 from*http://forum.xda-developers.com/apps...5#post64161125
2) Then flash with 3.67 from above.

Got it working
what else did you do . I too am stuck with m and circle. I flashed 2.62. and nothing. am I missing something.
That worked! Thank you, thank you, thank you. My only other problem is that I can't get into TWRP without being connected to my PC via USB and running "fastboot boot recovery.img". Any ideas?
Edit: Apparently doing the fastboot command didn't permanently load TWRP onto the device. I found a solution on Google Play that worked.
Thank you Amit.lohar. It saved me after 5 days stuck with logo boot loop and ton of attemps flashing different firmwares & superSU versions

Hey sombody plz help me to get through this,I installed the OTA then I unlocked bootlocker and installed the custom recovery twrp 2.8.7v2 ....then I tried to install the SuperSU....but after flashed it through twrp,I was stucked at "Warning Bootlocker Unlocked" screen for like 15 min,so then I tried to clear cache and then reboot....But that also not help,Then i tried format all the data and tried to to strt in factory mode.but still stucked at same screen. Now what should I do to get into the phone ?PLz ....its urgent
Well the thing you could do is factory resetting via TWRP or you could download a new ROM like CM 12.1 that you can find in the original android developer section and flash it with TWRP, your phone would boot up now. Keep in mind that you will lose everything.

The same happend to me, you must have installed the wrong SU version, just reflash stock firmware via fastboot and reinstall OTA, then if u wanna root use SuperSU v2.61, hope it helps.
Just flashed the CM12.1 through twrp ,problem is solved in a way.

Sorry Noob question- when should I wipe the system, cache, dalvik cache and data ?? Before flashing cm 12.1??
And I am currently on mm rooted. And cm12.1 is based on lollypop, will there be any problem if I flash cm12.1?

first of all, which super su zip u r trying to flash ???? only this super su - "SuperSU-v2.62-3-20151211162651.zip" works on MXP...... after unlocking the boot loader u need to flash first twrp custom recovery...then entering into twrp interface, format the whole internal memory (I m sorry,u have to do that,no other way is possible)...... then put cm12 zip which u want to flash in sd card then flash the zip through twrp....... I guess this way your problem would be solved.....
If u flashed the correct mentioned supersu you should be fine.It happened 3 times also to me.I just press power continuously to power off and then it boots normally.
Please in case of SuperSU do not use 2.62-3 anymore, use 2.79SR3. Both are supposed to work, but 2.79SR3 is newer and has some bugfixes.
Note: The release 2.79 will not work, the detection fix to install systemless for all Moto devices is only integrated in 2.79SR3. 2.62-3 does no detection, it always installs systemless.

Is cm12.1 support direct volte calling,.? Or any other custom rom which support volte calls???.
My N10 with stock 5.1 previously had root with TWRP 2.8.6, but for some reason it recently lost root. In addition, it seems that TWRP has been corrupted because whenever I try to boot into recovery I get a dead bootloader with a red exclamation mart. After I flashed the most recent version of TWRP 3.0.0-1 using "fastboot flash recovery twrp-3.0.0-1-manta.img" (bootloader still unlocked), I still get a dead bootloader when booting into recovery.
Then I flashed back to TWRP 2.8.6, but the problem remains!
How to fix the problem? Thanks!
I hope you can go to bootloader mode... Revert to stock by flashing the factory images and then start over again

Just flashed an even older version (2.8.5) of TWRP, and now suddenly it can boot into recovery without any problem. I have also gained root now after flashing SuperSU.
I was planning to flash the most recent version of TWRP (3.0.0-1), and then try out CM13, but for some reason my N10 with stock 5.1 does not like those newer versions of TWRP. Do you know why?

I downloaded all the three versions (2.8.5, 2.8.6, and 3.0.0-1) of TWRP I've flashed so far from here:
https://dl.twrp.me/manta/
This is weird. Is it because I didn't have root during the time I flashed 2.8.6 or 3.0.0-1? I thought that flashing TWRP would not require root.
Can I flash CM13 with TWRP 2.8.5? I'll definitely make a Nandroid backup before proceeding.

I did factory reset in TWRP 3.0.0-1 and then flashed CM 13.0-20160309 on my N10 with the dynamic Gapps. Now I get this error Unfortunately Google Play Services Has Stopped. Is it because the default factory reset is not good enough or something else? If it needs a full wipe, what exactly should I wipe, system and data? And after a full wipe, do I need to reflash CM13 or just Gapps?
Thanks!

There shouldn't be a problem as I've used these versions without any problems.
Try a clean flash (wipe data + cache + dalvik cache) with latest superSu beta(2.79 SR1).
Search for supersu in oneplus forums for oxygen 3.1.0 since normal supersu will break boot.

To succesfully install the newest Versions of SuperSU you have to install it in systemless mode. If you flash the ZIP it will install it in /system mode, so you have to force the systemless install.
Before you flash the newest Beta SuperSU.zip go to the TWRP terminal and write:
echo SYSTEMLESS=true>>/data/.supersu
Then flash the ZIP.
SuperSU will be installed in systemless mode and your Phone will boot up fine.

Hello everyone,
i just flashed the newest Pure Nexus Rom and everything went fine.
I forgot to flash the SuperSU Zip so i tried to got back into TWRP, but now it stuck.
The System boots normally, only TWRP wont boot.
Anyone had that problem too?
if anyone else has the same issue, here is the answer:
I forgot to erase the userdata or cache.
If you have the same problem use fastboot!
fastboot format cache
fastboot format userdata
Then it should work again.
(Everything on your own risk)
If you dont flah SuperSU asap, TWRP will not stick on reboot (w nougat). That was the issue.
No SuperSU was not the problem.
It happened before i flashed the SuperSU zip.
As far as i know, there is a problem if you upgrade to Nougat and dont format the userdata and cache because of the encryption or sth like that.

Exactly. It happened before you flashed SuperSU zip. Not flashing SuperSU caused your problem. It needs to be flashed the first time you go into TWRP or you won't be able to boot back into TWRP. The previous poster is correct.
Maybe we talk about different problems
Ive formatted cache and userdata yesterday,
now i can go back into twrp.
(SuperSU is not flashed now).
Just tried it, works perfectly!

I never, ever flash userdata, and never had an issue.
We can agree to disagree. Either the other poster and I arent understanding your question, or you arent understanding our reply. It's cool, it happens.
But TWRP not sticking is due to not running SuperSU at the end of the install process. It wont stick.
And now i know the misunderstanding!
My sentence was a little bit silly formulated:
It didnt stuck by flashing SuperSU. I just forgot to do that and when i recognized this, i want to boot into recovery. Then i recognized the bootloop.
So SuperSU as itself was not involved. By the way BeansTown wrote in the Thread for PureNexus Rom that you have to format your userdata (normally over TWRP).
Shame on me that i didnt read before start flashing

Hmm. If you are on stock, reflash the boot, system, recovery, and vendor from the factory image that matches your stock, security update. Restart the phone and boot into Android. Restart into the bootloader then fastboot flash recovery TWRP-angler.img. See if it lets you boot into TWRP then. If not, try an older version of TWRP and see if that will flash and allow you to boot into it.

Booting into TWRP or into the bootloader?
If the Bootloader, that's a simple fix... If TWRP you probably flashed it to the boot partition instead of recovery partition, but flashing a ROM should fix it as it over-writes that partition anyway.
Guess if that doesn't help we need more info...

I restored my backup and there was a security update so I updated it and that's when all this happened.
So, you took a stock OTA Update on a rooted build, it sounds like. I believe you need to follow the steps to root again, and you should be good.

This procedure is for the G4, but the Factory ROM structure is the same for both the G4 and G5+:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=68948997&postcount=1
You can get the factory ROM here:
https://mirrors.lolinet.com/firmware/moto/potter/official/RETAIL/
Read through everything, and make sure it makes sense. I used this to remove TWRP from a G4.

Wiping caches was only to get rid of the OTA file... the OTA zip file is stored in cache, removing it should have allowed the phone to boot normally, if not there is a bigger problem.
Start fresh... Flash latest TWRP, copy a new ROM and Gapps to device, wipe everything except internal/external storage, and flash clean... If it fails, or restarts in the middle of installing, you have more serious problems... likely a partition or hardware issue.
same thing happened to me, I just started over and flashed a stock image, install twrp, update to latest ota, then rooted with magisk. pretty easy with drtechie's moto g5 plus toolkit v1.1.0
