Hi Guys
lets post the changes and improvements of the leaked JB firmware here...
many people are curious but at the thread of the leaked firmware its more info how to flash and keep root
so lets do it:good:

So far it's not working out too good for me.
1. Contacts keeps stopping.
2. Touchwiz keeps stopping.

I tried that too. Just gonna go back to ICS until there is a no-wipe official version.

noticed some changes, 4.0.4 ics to 4.1 jelly bean.

have samsung added the new widget features?

So far:
-Flashed, no brick.
-Not that smooth. Scrolling through contacts is jittery (actually the whole phone/contacts app is). Notification bar is too. Animations also jittery (even with GPU rendering)
-Can't comment on battery life, only had it on for 10 minutes.
-No significant changed, only slightly different notification bar, and some more settings in settings.
-Google Now is present, and use also the default 2-press home app.
-Camera is the same, not JB style where it's linked to gallery.
-Increases your flash counter
-Triangle Away is confirmed working by chainfire.

Viber is not support or it does not work on this update

It sucks that they didn't update the camera.

First several hours of leaked rom and ur already crying? C'mon ... Build date is 31.july so there we don't know what
is changed,added, updated and etc...

nope no firmware updates im on gdfe01 and the firmware on the phone is gdff03

from what part of my post was i crying you idiom?
i was just asking the guy who already flashed jb and said the camera improved.
i just wanted to ask what the camera fw is now because the mexican dude wasn't able to show much and the posts of other people in jb thread all had contact fc topics.
that way if the camera fw was updated too then that is one of the reason why camera pics have improved like that poster said.

Don't start bashing something that is unofficial and is in beta stage.
Remember that this is a leaked test-only ROM, and not the final product. Officially, you aren't even supposed to be using this ROM.
There's no way for us to know what parts of that ROM is still under development or what is final; what has been been ported to JB or what has been kept from ICS so it can barely work.
So, stop being naive and saying that "this and that don't work". Of course it doesn't, otherwise Samsung would've made it an official release.
Besides, this ROM was supposedly built on July 31st, so it's 16 days old. A lot might have been changed already in the ROM Samsung has under development. Not only that, but we're still 13 days away from the supposedly planned date.
I will risk a guess here, that JB won't be available on Aug. 29th: Samsung has NEVER met a deadline before, at least one that's been annouced publicly.

Actually then Samsung has no worries. Samsung has NEVER announced the 29th of Aug. as the date of release for jb for sgs3. This is a date made up of speculation, but for some reason all the n00bs now think that because they heard it on the INTERNEZZZ then that date is official.
Prove me wrong and show me where ANY official Samsung source says Aug. 29th or even any date at all......
Sorry but Sammobile is not official. Nothing but some random dude with a website posting firmwares so not official.
Random mobile phone internet sites is for sure not a reliable source and never has been. I've always said. If you heard it from a internet site then you can be sure it's not true when it comes to rumours. They will grab any chance and will say anything and grab any rumour and make an article about it just to get visiters to their sites.
But it looks like it's getting worse and worse with the "I heard on the Internezz that this and that" so it must be true.........Only thing we can be sure of is...... IQ dropped rapidly in the past few years among mobile phone users........

ONE plus 1 or 2 ?

I play lot of games and need good battery. Will use for two three years at least.
These are my basic needs. Please help me decide between these two phones.

Neither, go for Nexus 6P or Note 5.
Had the OPO, liked it but had hardware issues with it (wouldn't hold onto a cellular network long, battery crapped out). OP2 don't have those issues but the third party support is lacking. I saw the Note 5 camera in action today, blows the OP2 camera. Also the OP2 performance sucks, I feel slow downs where the OPO didn't, but I think this is primarily Oxy**** issue, if it was running CM it would be awesome!

I think the performance of the OP2 is really, really good - device also disperses heat pretty well which tames the 810 beast down.
It always depends how you run your device though. I don't enjoy it as much as I'd like out of stock.

Oneplus 2, with modified thermal you can play games without aggressive thermal throttling. SD 810 rumors are exaggerated.
With thermal hotplugged i played real racing 3 for 40m with all cores enabled at stocks min/max freqs and it doesn't throttle.

My only hesitation in not just saying "go with the OP2" is the lack of third-party support, as pointed out by @ludester. CyanogenMod has CM12.1 and CM13 repositories going for the device now, and other ROMs and kernels based on OxygenOS are starting to appear as well, so I don't think that'll be an issue for too much longer. If you already had the OP1, I'd recommend against upgrading since you don't gain anything major other than a fingerprint scanner, but since you're asking which of the two, my vote is definitely for the OP2.

Not to ignore LAF and FP for custom ROMs are still in mist as Oneplus refused to release the codes, saying they are licensed or something similar.
Despite that two thing, I personally think OPT is a good phone. OOS is not perfect but we can expect OOS on MM.

Stick with oneplus one. I am heavy gamer I. E injustice normally with my old OPO I need to charge one time. But with the OPT I have charge twice a day

They make good phones, that was matter.
A good phone doesn't mean 600-700usd do you know that?.
Why the hell will i buy a phone for 650usd when I can have something equal or even better for 389usd?
Fortunately I can buy a phone of 800usd, but I will not because its not worth it. For 389 I have something that for me is better.

Why is that an issue for you?
The Exynos is often faster than the Snapdragon of the same generation, and the first few initial tests seem to confirm it is the case once again.

That is exactly why, odd's of getting aosp roms is slim to none.
The only other option is ordering the tmobile version from the states.
On the other hand maybe touchwiz won't be so bad, if twrp/root/xposed is available it should be good enough... right?

It does suck that we dont get the s820. Plus i think the snapdragon has a better gpu but i could be wrong. Chances of getting any aosp roms on exynos are way too slim and even if its possible theyre way too buggy to be a daily driver.

No, simply too big for me to fully use single handily.

supposedly the exynos has a better sound chip it's the Wolfson DAC I read on another forum

[Needed-Testers] For Miui 9

As the title says, I need testers for Miui 9 for 5T. I can't flash anything cuz I'm not comfortable flashing anything yet since I just got this device last week. But that won't stop me from trying a port.
Port devices in my mind are Mi6 and Mi Mix 2(better one can be debated or whatever). If this boots I'll try some more ports from 835 Family. Like Galaxy S8+ or HTC U11 or something. I don't take any guarantee tho but I have done Qcom and Speadtrum stock porting in the past.
Interested people may ping me or just write here...

I also have this good network and computer that can work in time with your work and testing. There is plenty of time

The only thing I am missing on our lovely 5T is MIUI. I'm a big fan of MIUI since 2010!

Well, as that conversation is private and dont have any official status, you cant say anything properly, yet they werent even answering in the past when we were asking if they will get pie or not. But as far as the expert says we will get a notification it can be true
I wonder how we will get a notification, maybe from members app? Also i want to remind you that he didnt say they will be in beta along 9 series its still unclear but as he says they will its the thing to lookout for

Ok. So if we will not get the beta for S8 & S8+, will there be a chance to get the beta unofficially? By sideloading a Pie update build or something the same as the S9 and S9+ is getting now from leaks?

Wouldnt think so, as oreo and pie is very diffrent and it would be easier to wait for it. Even if there was a leak to use it, maybe we could who knows

Its almost impossible to port a newer android version to an older one.
