When I'm downloading an app from the android market the progress bar that tells me how far through the download I am stays greyed out like it's trying to start a download and then jumps to the installing phase.
There is no indication of how large the app is or how much has been downloaded while downloading is going on. Underneath where it typically shows the size and status it just says "Downloading..."
Things install fine but I'd like it to let me know what's going on while downloading. Does anyone else have this issue? Is there a way to fix it?
I'm running CM6.1.1 on my Tmobile G2
Does anyone know why this may be the case? I've trawled through all the settings and I can't find anything that might be causing it. It only refreshes when I open the app.
Could somebody install it, set it to update with notifications, then tell me if you have the same problem please?
When I want to download or update apps I set the WCDMA Only (3G). But now the the progress bar is always stuck at DOWNLOADING and the download never really starts.
On the first day of purchase, it was okay and I downloaded some apps. Starting from second day download doesn't work.
NOTE:
The Play Store can download apps with WIFI. Also, the 3G/WCDMA internet works with browsing and all other internet stuff except downloading apps with Play Store.
Not rooted or customized in any way and only installed apps through Play Store.
Please help.
Thanks.
Hi guys,
i have enabled download booster and it shows in grey in the status bar. I am on an unlocked phone using Three UK network.
Is there a reason why DB isnt working? i have read that it should work with Play store downloads so i tried a large file, Asphalt Airborne but it didnt kick in and proceeded to just use wifi. I then tried a Rom file which again was a large file but still only used wifi.
Am i missing something?
cheers.
Gimmick
i agree it may not be as beneficial but i wanted to try it.
anyone know what i could be doing wrong?
thanks
Hi guys,
my issue is easy to describe, but I really don't know how to fix it.
Problem:
Normally Whatsapp, Snapchat or what else, will give you a notification when u have a message or something like this.
But sometimes, I really dont know when, sometimes when it's cleared from recents, sometimes when it's still in recents, the "information" wont come through.
For example, when a friend of mine sends a whatsapp to my device, he just has one tick and I dont receive anything. When I open Whatsapp manually, it "loads" all the information on the server and only then gives me the notification.
So it isnt really the problem of the Notification. I think the real problem is, that because whatsapp is like in a doze or something, the messages wont arrive on my device.
This problem isn't only for whatsapp, it's on all my apps which have like a "background communication"
Tried fixes:
In smart manager is excluded them from the saving power option
Checked if there is like a mobile data restriction
Cleared dalvik cache
Used Push Notification Fixer - but as I mentioned, I dont think this problem is the real notification, there is just no message, which could notify me
Re-installed the app with out titanium backup -- so fresh clean Google Play Store installation
My Device:
Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge -- SM-G935F
Superman-Rom v 1.12 --> I tried with other customroms -- same problem
Prometheus Kernel 1.5.3
If anybody has any possible solution, please let me know
Thanks in advance
Cheers
Hi @MisterEvo,
i unfortunately cannot help you, but I wanted to say, you are not the only one with this problem - i recognized these "Push-notification-issues" too.
I tried nearly everything to fix it, like different Custom Roms, different Kernels, different Bootloaders, clear cache or reinstall app, disabled app in smartmanager, allowed background data usage and so on, but nothing, really nothing fixed my push-notification bug.
I would really appreciate if there are any suggestions from the community.
Regards.
