[Q] Rooted, but can't update firmware?

Hi guys, so I rooted my phone a while ago, and didn't have any problems with it. However, now, while I'm on 4.3, Android released a new update. I tried downloading this update and installing, but it didn't work. I tried putting it on my sd card and then booting into recovery to install the zip from my SD card on Clockwork Recovery, but that just said (bad) and aborted installation.
How am I supposed to update my phone using the official downloaded update.zip that I have?

If u rooted ur phone u can't install this updates. U will have to upgrade ur phone when KIES have new update or use ODIN for flash them :highfive:

I just downloaded Kies3. My region is XEH (Hungary). It says there's a new update. Should I just upgrade my firmware and it should work or is there something special to it?

Yes if u want have ur phone updated. Only remember u will have to root ur phone and install the CUSTOM RECOVERY again :highfive:

When will root it, u will have to install again Xposed Framework

[Q] Please help me - Galaxy Note 3 LTE SM-N9005

I was trying to root my new Galaxy Note 3 LTE and Odin said Pass
after restarting my phone I found my Self Stuck in Samsung logo like photo
I still can get into Odin mode but I can't get into Recovery Mode.
Please Help me !

you can always just flash the stock rom again with odin as long as you can get into download mode but you loose your data.
are you on 4.4.2 kitkat ? because if so, you need a new version of twrp (or use cwm). there is an unoffical version that supports kk and also the original twrp will get an update soon. theres currently a test build, look at the official thread.
dont use it if you are still on 4.3 !

I really really wish people would search and read before messing with their devices... this is the 800th thread on this again.
Take your battery out, and wait for 60seconds, put back in and try to boot into recovery mode, wipe cache and boot up - OR reflash Stock again.
PS: If you have a Hong Kong Note, you need to go off and read... cause you've made a massive mistake playing.

Check you have the right CF-Autoroot, if you got the latest one it won't work as it's for KK only try This One - In future please read more.

I pulled the battery and try to get into Recovery mode but I couldn't , I am trying to flash Stock firmware now .

Use the link I posted before you flash stock again, boot into download mode and flash via Odin PDA and it should be fine

I am on Android 4.3 I didn't upgrade to 4.4 . I just tried to root it. I am not using HongKong Version.

What Should I do Before Re-flashing Stock Firmware ?

Nothing. Boot into download mode, and flash it via Odin. Job done. - Am I to assume that the CF autoroot I gave you didn't work?

You NEED to read. If you don't read you WILL end up with a bricked device. -- I posted the correct link for you to try, I wouldn't have posted it if it did not work.

Before going to the trouble of flashing the stock rom and try rooting again, why not flash the cf-autoroot radicalisto linked you to? It'll only take a minute to do it.

Glad you got sorted. In future, before you make any changes to your very expensive device, make sure you read and know exactly what files you have and what you are doing :good:

[Q] newbie question ! customer recovery for 4.4.2?

Hey guys,
I know this is kind of answered in alot of different places but nothing is guiding me to the correct files, just want to be safe and figured this was the best place to make sure i hit the bullseye.
Just updated to poland 4.4.2 kitkat and was looking to install a customer recovery so i could grab the latest version of xnote and a few other goodies. Could someone please guide me to a download section/link for cwm? or maybe twrp? which ever would work easiest

i'm having alot of issues installing this ! loaded using odin PDA.. everything looks fine, phone then restarts and boots normally...odin says pass ! i try to jump into recovery and it's goes to download mode? Could the issue be because i have just updated from 4.3? i also had twrp installed on my phone

yep reads normal booting into recovery then just dumps into download mode "could not boot normally" reads at the top of of the screen

think i will have to reinstall the firmware to do that because factory recovery is gone as well.. unless i can factory reset anther way? that being said what is a good alternative firmware maybe the poland 4.4.2 is the issue?

Yes reset it with Odin, you have n900 ? try Russian firmware, after successfully reset make a factory reset from recovery, than root and flash custom recovery

would twrp 2.6.3.7 work on 4.4?

btw what is that option in cwm that keeps askig me ROM may flash stock recovery on boot? >No >Yes disable recovery flash.. i just say no because i don't know wat it is lol

HELP!! I think i bricked my phone (SM-A700FD) please help me

I tried to root my galaxy A7 5.0.2 lollipop. Odin said passed but something is wrong.
I'll keep things simple:
status: stuck at logo screen (boot loop)
"Recovery is seandroid enforcing"
"Set Warranty Bit: recovery" in the top of the screen
Recovery: no
Download mode: yes

Flash the stock ROM using odin again. Download the ROM extract the .tar.md5 file and place in the AP/PDA section of odin. Now hit the start button. Done

Flash the bootloader and CSC files with the stock firmware. The bootloader file should go in bootloaders section, CSC file in CSC and firmware file in AP/PDA.

yeah thats actually the one i used. thanks you for your help. one last thing im on 4.4.4 now and i cant seem to detect the ota, is there any way to upgrade by getting it to detect the update cuz im kinda scared to flash the upgrade myself now

And second thing if ota is not detected by ur phone then I think so u need to flash it manually.

one last thing, how come i cant get ota updates anymore? the lollipop ota update is already out for my device and i was running it before but now when i check for update it says latest updates have been installed even though im still running kitkat

BTW did u try to flash the lollipop update manually via Odin?
Did u get the modem file in that firmware? If yes then flash it too with Odin. This might work to get the ota update.

whats a modem file?

HELP: Installed ROM now no network

Hi all,
I am starting a new post as I could not post in the
[ROM](5.1.1 TouchWiz)Tazzy-aurora-Note3-Full note 5 port Stable T-6.1 (19-1-2016)
area, being new and all.
So I flashed:
1. Kernel_Cleaning_AudaxL_v2.9
2. [5.1.1]Tazzy-aurora.Note3.Full.Note5.Port.T-6.1.zip
and now my phone is not registering on the mobile network.
PLEASE HELP!!
Upon restarting I get a message at the top of Samsung screen logo in Red:
kernel is not SEANDROID enforcing.

I have used CWM recovery 6.0.4.7 to wipe and flash.

Try to flash the latest Modem and Bootloader with Odin, I think you can find them on Audax page. Good Luck!

No, go to Samsung updates.com or Sam Mobile and download a firmware for your phone. Firmware is an orginal "rom" for your device From Samsung, and flash it using odin. Your problem could be with the efs files, I had that issue Too with my note 3, you should always back up Your efs files.
Goodluck!

The rom on the phone is probably not compatible with the phone's current modem and or bootloader.
I recommend flashing the latest stock rom via Odin, make sur everything works, then install twrp and a custom rom.

After flashing an update from Sammobile via Odin you won't lose anything!
