I just unlocked, rooted, installed viper, installed xposed. Now my contacts app force closes every time. Can't even open it. I have installed viper and xposed many times on multiple devices. This has never been an issue before. So I don't see those being installed causing it. I am completely stock otherwise. I tried wiping data and cache from app. Still a no go. Any ideas?! Thank you
Edit: I'm sorry I forgot I did install ElementalX kernel. Unsure how that would effect just my contact app

ElementalX wouldn't cause those force quits, a kernel doesn't have influence over stuff like that. Xposed may be your culprit, what modules do you have installed? Do you have any themes installed?

I JUST booted up after wiping cache in twrp...success. although there is something going on because I've had to wipe cache to fix contact app FC, reboot to fix camera FC, and still haven't figured out why I can't open my downloads app. FC every time.

I would let the developer know in his thread, he may want a log. Just as a heads up, general rule of thumb when troubleshooting issues with Xposed installed is to disable modules individually then, if it is still not fixed, to uninstall it completely so that you can fully isolate the issues away from Xposed since it modifies a LOT of stuff.
not sure if it will fix it... under SuperSU app.... in the settings turn on "enable su during boot"... that usually fixes FC on my part

Hey guys on G900I stock rooted rom untill slimbeam or paranoid comes out, I had disabled s health and other bloat around about the time the "health service has stopped working" but also did some tweaks so i'm not sure what one caused the problem, but i've completely removed s health and i cant see anywhere in system apps/services "health service" just want it gone so the error doesn't come up. I get it about 4-5 times a day. Any help would be appreciated
Did you installed xposed framework? If yes.. That's the reason.

I am having the same problem even after I unistalled xposed framework. Please advise.
To revert, you need to clear the system cache and the Shealth app cache and data.
Lots of threads on how to solve that, you can find lots of elaboration in existing threads if you search.
In short you can have Shealth and Xposed working if you disable secure storage - which breaks private mode, et cetera.
Or you can revert. Basically: Shealth, Xposed, Private mode. Pick any two.

Hello,
My Greenify app doesn't hibarnate apps automatically for some reason, thought everything is correct with the permissions in the SuperSu and in the Greenify app itself...
Does anybody know what might be the cause for such thing?
Create a shortcut and just press it whenever you want to hibernate takes less than 1 second lol

Check if auto hibernation is not disabled. Enable it.
You can also install the app and also clear cache.

Try becoming a beta tester, 2.3 is in beta status. Also xposed framework makes it possible for greenify to have a few extra features.

I'm having this problem too, and it's just recent. Either that, or I haven't been paying attention. It's been working just fine for almost a year on my Nexus 4. I wonder if it's specific to our phone?

Go update to the latest 2.3.1 version thru playstore. It seems more stable now than the 2.3 which goes haywire at times.

Follow the Quote above...if you want the extra features, they are still visible under the settings in Greenify, but are grayed-out due to no Xposed Framework installed.
Together with Xposed, i am hitting 2 days and 20 hours on every cycle with 3 to 4 hours screen time.

I updated yesterday. I noticed that apps that previously were not automatically hibernating are now.
Yes that's because latest 2.6 Xposed causes it to break the coding of greenify system but it was fixed with the updates.

I have the same problem, apps seem to stay in the "pending" list unless I hibernate them manually. Auto hibernation is enabled.
I have a Nexus5, stock Android + franco kernel, Greenify 2.4beta15 and xposed 2.6.1. Also have superSU.
If I check my superSU logs I can see that Greenify doesn't make any requests by itself.
Has there been found any solutions yet?
Managed to get it to work by downloading the latest beta version (2.4 beta17).

I had xposed working on my htc 10 right off of stock, I froze somethings i shouldn't have and restored from my backup now xposed doesn't work. Wouldn't it have been odexed off of the start?
edit: I am dumb, system wasn't auto mounted so I had to mount it myself...
What is the correct method to install xposed on the 10 please? After a weekend of tweaking and restoring I have the 10 exactly as I want it and I don't want to break it again by muffing up the xposed install! Thanks!

Download sdk23 arm64 version 84, make sure system is mounted, and you have allowed write privledges (the swipe at the beginning of twrp, after cancelling decrypt). Then install as normal. FYI, between Xtended settings from playstore, and gravitybox from Xposed, you can really pimp out the stock rom.

I wouldn't recommend using Gravitybox since it's made for vanilla AOSP based ROMS which are currently not available for the HTC 10.
Reading through some of the dev's replys for Xtended Settings reviews are hilarious. Dude has no chill haha!

On the contrary, works quite well, quicksettings for instance, gravitybox is great for, I have all of these icons I used on the m9 now. Xtended settings give me the color icons for apm, something gravitybox doesn't, as well as long press back to kill. Give it a shot, trust me.
friendly reminder for snapchat users: on initial login, snapchat performs a check for Xposed and will block login if it detects it. to get around this, you need to login to snapchat BEFORE installing the xposed framework. Just to be doubly safe, you can backup your snapchat data with titanium backup, so that if you ever need to re-login, you can just restore the data from titanium to bypass the Xposed check.
Damn I didn't realise that. Already have Xposed installed - any other workaround?

quick question. it's been awhile since i've had to install xposed (i came from the M8). do i need the ".zip" and the ".zip.asc" files? (http://dl-xda.xposed.info/framework/sdk23/arm64/)
Just the zip. Save to your sd boot into twrp, mount system a d flash the zip. Reboot install the apk.

Hey everyone! I'm not sure if this should go in general or here, so if it's in the wrong place, please feel free to move it, Mr. Mods. So there's a pretty common bug that effects people who use the stock OpenGapps package (the one that deletes AOSP dialer and replaces it with the Google Dialer), where the phone will reboot upon making or receiving a call over cellular network. Turns out, this is due to the absence of the AOSP dialer on the system! I managed to fix it by manually adding the AOSP dialer to /system/priv-app and changing permissions via Root Explorer, then rebooting. Got sick of doing it manually, so I made a flashable zip for ya'll! I flashed it as a test and it seems like it works but I haven't done it after an update yet. I'm posting it here in hopes of it helping all ya'll

For Open GApps users (and others using Google Dialer), all you need to do is set Google Dialer as the default phone app. It even says that in the TWRP log when it's flashing. You only need to set it as default once, and that's it.

It should've. Odd. For RR and CM it's Settings -> Apps -> gear icon -> Default apps -> Phone app -> Phone (should be the only option)
I'll try it again when I install tonight's Mokee update, and report back. If it works then great! I'd really prefer only having one dialer app anyway hahaha

and it downloads fine. Since moving to 7.1.2 when I try to open it it just closes right away. I send dev an email. I have uninstalled and reinstalled a few times/ I checked the permissions on the apk. I have no more ideas.
Anybody have any ideas to make it work?
Are you running any kind of Substratum theme? I've had Substratum overlays cause FC of apps. It's also possible that the app just isn't compatible with 7.1.2. It hasn't been updated since 2014. Since the app hasn't been updated for so long it might have been abandoned by the developer. The only other thing I can think of is clearing the cache data for the app, if there is any.
Thanks for your response. Not running any theme. I have tried all that. I guess it's just going to work.
