I got the 16GB Card with my phone. I first(before first use) removed the SD card and re-inserted it. Then I started the phone.
The settings show "No SD Card". Also, the documents tab shows "SD card is full or missing". Its not detecting the 16 GB Card came with it.
When I plugged this 16 GB to my Laptop using a card reader, it works.
Also, when I inserted a 1 GB Card to the phone, it works.
Is there anybody who face the same?
Can anybody help?
First, is the phone connected by USB in Disk Drive mode when you're trying to look at the contents of the card? If so, the phone can't see the SD card when you're connected that way. If that's not the case, then follow these steps:
1) Put the card back in the reader on your PC, copy everything off the card into a backup folder
2) Put the card back in the phone, and use the "Format SD Card" option in settings-tools
3) Once it's formatted that way, connect the phone to the PC via USB, choosing the "Disk Drive" option
4) Copy everything back on to the card that you had saved in that folder on your PC
No. Its not connected to PC.
Also, I cant format the card when it is not detected by the phone.
Then still copy everything off it like I described, and then format it via the card reader on your pc instead of on the phone.
The stock cards in the HD2 are known to often have issues like this...if these steps don't resolve the issue then the next step is to probably just replace it.

There are some weird WinMo bugs about storage card, have been around for years, and not fixed.
Look at your device with file manager. There may be a folder in main memory called "Storage Card", that isn't really the storage card, and the real storage card is now labelled "Storage Card 2" or something, so links to it won't work.
With file manager, rename the fake "Storage card" folder to anything else. (You can't delete it just yet.)
Then reboot the device. After the reboot, the real storage card should be named "Storage Card" again, and now you can delete the imposter folder.
I don't know if your problem is related to that one, but important to get that info out, for those not aware of it.
(Especially likely to happen on HD2, when connected to the computer with the disk drive option. When so connected, the real storage card cannot be read. Yet, if the system wants to save a file or cache to "Storage Card", it creates a new folder by that name. Later, when no longer connected to the computer, the real storage card is back, it has been renamed, as the new folder took its real name. To get it back right, follow the procedure above.)
Another possibility just occurred to me. Seems rather obvious, but it has happened to me.
Are you sure you have the card inserted correctly--all the way in?
The first time I reinserted the card after taking it out, booted up my phone, there was no storage card. I just had not inserted it correctly. That is very easy to do on this phone, you think it is inserted all the way, and it is not.
If you haven't experimented with that yet, you really should do so. Make sure the card is pushed all the way in.
Hello everyone, i have encountered with one problem, after formatting my sd card from my macbook using Fat format, now when it was done, when i eject my memcard from PC it refreshes and the error came like sd card blank or has an unsupported format, i have tried formatting sd card from that popup but no response i have also used sd formatter from the market still no benefit.
Can you try another SD card?
have you tried formatting the card in your DHD?
What kind of SD card are you formatting? Model/size etc. Can you use it with your computer? Have you tried formatting it with your phone, Settings > SD & phone storage, unmount then format.
Hey thanks for everyone kind attention, i am using 8gb card, actually i have corrupted my card during formatting from my PC, and i have tried formatting from my cell phone but it didn't solve the problem accept ok popup and error again, what i did to resolve this issue is to put my sd card into my another phone which is BB, as i even can't connect it from my MAC, and formatted my sd card from BB than i put that card again into my HTC DHD and now it is working perfectly fine. =)
yea. THANK YOU SO MUCH
I have a MyTouch 4G rooted, with Ice Glacier 1.1.6 and I was trying to remove some files from my SD card and when i eject my phone, all the files i deleted appeared back onto the sd card. I tried everything to fix this problem. When i tried to format the card using a card reader, i get an error saying format wasnt able to be complete. i tried error checking as well. i am not able to add files to the sd card too. does anybody know what is going on??
thanks!
Try formatting it thru the phone.
Settings -> Storage -> Format SD Cards
just tried that, did not work. after i click format, the sd card would get mounted again and everything is still on the sd card..
this is what i have noticed, i can delete files using astro and it will stay off until i unmount it and mount it again. thats when the files appear back on the sd card.
Hmm... can you open the files on your PC?
yeah i can open files on my PC. this is weird. when i take pics, itll save onto the sd card but will be gone when i unmount or connect my phone to the computer so i can see the files on the sd card
I've heard of this once before. Solution was to put the sd card into an adapter and format with a camera.
format with a camera? meaning to plug this sd card in a digital camera and plug the camera into the pc then format?
No, format through the cameras menu options.
whenever i tried to turn on my camera with this messed up sd card in there, the camera doesnt even want to boot up....any other suggestions??
Sorry, thats all I got.
Sounds like a bad disk. Run a CHKDSK /f from your pc.

chkdsk didnt work. at the end of the process, it says "disk error occurred during the writing of the file allocation" ??
It appears you need to go shopping. However, the SD card should be replaceable under warranty, unless our warranties specifically exclude the card. Call your local T-Mobile dealer and see if they'll replace it.
Yeah I think its time for a larger memory card anyway. So all I have to do is copy everything from my old memory card onto the new one that I will get then stick it in my phone right?

Hey all, I'm hoping somebody can help me. I'm currently running a rooted stock S5 I have safestrap installed and towel root.
All of a sudden this morning when I open to my gallery and pressed on a picture, it would not get bigger. I didn't think anything of it so I rebooted my phone. And when it came back up there was nothing on the SD card, all of my pictures and my music has disappeared. I unmount the SD card pulled it out rebooted we mounted SD card and I got an error message saying that the SD card was blank or the files are not supported. Has anyone come across this before?
When I got home from work, I pulled the SD card out put it in a card reader and on my computer again there were no files at all on the card. I put the card back in the phone and tried to reformat it, it would not reformat. I tried with several different SD cards and I'm getting the same error message saying that the card is blank and the file is not supported.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

you might wanna try minitool partition wizard on your pc with your micro sd in your card reader and plugged into your pc and when you pull up your sd card im sure youll see your sd card isn't fat32 anymore and is Linux so to fix youll need to right click on the sd and click delete then put back into your phone and format then youll have it working again, but sorry to say your files are now gone on your micro sd
I'm seriously confused.
My original SD card is recognized on my PC, but when I place it in my phone I get a "SD card is blank or has unsupported filesystem". When I click the notification it asks to format. I press format and the notification goes away for a second and then comes back with the same error. I tried formatting it again on my pc and I still get the same error.
It's not the hardware of the phone since it can recognize me removing and adding a SD card. It's not the software because I flashed another firmware and still got the same error. It's also not the SD card since it's recognized by my computer and I also get the same error on my phone with another SD card.
Does anyone have any idea what's happening? Or what I can do to fix this?
It started while I was trying to flash a custom deoxed firmware on my phone.
