Beta testing - Nexus 6P Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

When I go to the page to sign up for beta testing it shows my Nexus 6 and not my Nexus 6P. Is there any way to fix this or am I just stuck with flashing the images online?

Go to https://play.google.com/settings
Check that your 6P's visibility is checked. And then try again.

I went there and made sure the 6p was the only device checked, then when I went to the beta test signup site it said I have no eligable devices. Any ideas?

Is the primary Google account same on the 6P, that you're using to sign up for Android Beta Testing?

Okay. Try removing and re-adding the Google account ?
I am sorry, slowly getting out of clues here. But there is no harm trying. Just curious, have you ever flashed your 6P with a custom ROM etc?

The only way I was able to get the download for the beta program was to add a new gmail account, but at least I finally got it working. Thanks for all of you help.

Nexus 4 Not Letting Me Sign Into Accounts

As the title says. I was at the store earlier today and got a notification telling me An error has occurred when signing in to my Google account. My signal bars are also grey. First I thought a good 'ol reboot would fix it just like 99% of my problems but still nothing. So I booted into TWRP, and wiped dalvik+cache. Still nothing. I did a full on factory reset and still nothing. Called Google and they gave me some troubleshooting that didn't work. They said if I didn't get it fixed they would replace it so before I dive into another RMA, I thought you guys could help me. Im running cm 10.1.2 latest nightly with Faux123 017b2 kernel if that helps.
Are you able to sign with your Google account anywhere else? Like on a PC?
Have you activated 2-step verification recently?

Google Fi Mobile Data still on even though it is turned off.

Hey guys so I had this problem even on stock 6.0.1 right out the box. I then received updates thinking they would fix it, but didn't. I eventually wanted to flash pure nexus so I did that (not thinking it was going to be a fix) but I'm still getting it so it must be a google fi issue itself, right?
Has anybody been able to find a fix for this?

Damn. I guess it's something I'll just have to deal with it until they do something about it.

I also was running into this problem, but recently it seems to have been fixed. Interestingly enough, I wasn't charged for any of the data I used while I had my data off.
I was charged.

If you are connected to sprint then data is disabled. If connected to T-Mobile then data is enabled. Just figured this out today. Hope they will fix this issue.

Not related to the HTC but my coworker just purchased an S7 and he had problems sending MMS on Verizon . Turned out to be a faulty sim card.

I have tried several sim cards and wasn't the issue. Going to have to call Verizon and see what's going on.

I even changed the megapixels to the lowest setting and was able to send it via mms. But with my Nexus 6p my camera is on the highest megapixel and was able to still send mms. Not sure what the deal is with my HTC 10 not able to send pics at the highest pixel.

Do you have mobile data turned on? On my Verizon 10 I have to turn off wifi and turn on mobile in order to send or receive pics.

Check perms for hangouts to make sure it's granted SMS by default.

Well if you didn't wipe coming from viper that could be it. Their messaging app might be based off a different carrier that supports higher than 1.2megs.

This is what I have to do as well, which is BS, because why should I have to pay for/use data when I have a perfectly fine WIFI connection? BTW, it only happens to me with the Verizon messages app, but I prefer that app, so it needs to be fixed.

Wiped zenfone 2 laser and can not set up for another user.

Hi all.
I just wiped my Zenfone 2 laser and gave it to my daughter. When i try to set it up as a new device with her Google account, it will not let me. It keeps wanting to set up for the previous user. Does anyone have any ideas? I also sold my N6 to a friend and have encountered the same problem. When I bought the N6 2 months ago we wiped it and had no problem entering my account info.
Thanks in advance.

Which version of android?
If marshmallow then,
This problem arises due to the fact that, you have enabled device protection on.
To remove this, just remove the Google account and remove secure lockscreen(pattern/password/pin) on your device and try again.
It works.
Ok. Thanks so much. I will give that a try.
