Yes, Android has always had that directory. Whether it was hidden on your past devices is another question.

I recently unlocked and rooted my N7 using WUG.. I was able to flash smooth rom and that is what i am currently running. However I wanted to try some of the other roms out there to and I have not been able to.. I re-boot to twrp recovery and the roms do not show up. Where am I going wrong here?
Starting out with the basic here: you downloaded the ROMd to your device before you booted into TWRP right?

So it could be "anywhere." Create a folder on the SD card and use that to store roms.

It's kind of weird actually, I have rooted both my rezound and NT, flashed many roms on them and have not seen this.
So I made a new folder and it does not show in twrp, actually only a few folders show..

Only a few folders show up on twrp, weird...I did get one to show up in a folder called ready to flash but it failed to flash.
That's strange. Try to reflash twrp, because it shouldn't behave like that.

Problem solved, the only files that show up on twrp for some reason are under data/media/o for some reason..Moved rom to that and it showed up, thanks for keeping me motivated..

That's the virtual SD card. Just the way Nexus handles things.
Guess you were on a 4.2 based Rom

Hey all--just wondering why I can't seem to delete the com.teamkang.fauxclock folder from mnt/shell/emulated directory.
I've moved on to a new ROM & I'm trying out a new kernel; no longer have fauxclock app installed. Don't see why I can't remove it now. Any help?

Haha--my thoughts exactly. I've always used CWM since Gingerbread, so I'm wondering if there's any other way?
Okay so I got over myself and flashed TWRP. Now I'm looking at the file manager and I can't find the mnt directory anywhere, so I still can't get rid of the fauxclock folder from mnt/shell/emulated.
Any help?

Looking for LGVideo odex file from stock RIM or another way to recover this app after using the cam upgrade app from another thread that backs up. Can't seem to get the app reinstalled.

Thanks, tried pushing both of those to the priv—app folder and changing permission and ownership but they still don't show up in the app drawer. Anything I am missing?

In the past I have themed a lot of my phones to my liking using my own themes, I won't be doing that with this phone since it has its own theme system but I do want to start making custom fonts (I may even be able to get us iPhone/stock Android emojis.) In order for me to do this though I need to see how Samsung packages their font apks to be used in the system, and for this I need the APK which is located in the system folder. I'm not going to be rooting this phone because I use Samsung pay so I need someone with a rooted s7 to go into the system folder and locate the font apks and upload one (any of them should work, but just to be on the safe side I'd prefer the default.) Thanks in advance and let's hope this works!

I have mine rooted (G930F).
What do you exactly need? Would love the iPhone emoji's so if I just know what I have to do, I'll help you out!

There should be an APK in the system directory somewhere that has the same title as the font

Better yet, go to the sammy app store and download 'samsungsan', it should download to the /data/app folder.

I did that, I was also just waking up though so I may have missed a few letters (I use Tapatalk so I couldn't copy/paste) anyways, what is the app at the very top being cut off?

1. I can't find it
2. Even if it is a zip it could very well just be that the publisher put tff files in it, that does no good here as that requires root to set those files. The approach I am going for would allow you to install new fonts without the need for root.

Okay, So I found this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software/guide-google-assistant-marshmallow-t3478450 and I couldn't get it to work. Can someone please patch it to arm64?

Im having issues recompiling. After doing some research I've found that it cant be done on stock system like ours. The OP of that thread may not be rooted, but his modified system must allow for the installation of non-signed apps.
But is there ANY way to install it on my device?
Any one?
