Is it possible to copy and paste text that's in an email or on a webpage? It seems I can only copy links by tapping on them and holding, or when you have a text entry box it also seems to work, but what about a chunk of text in an email you've received or on a website? Seems like a pretty basic function, if even windows mobile could manage it.
In browser app, press menu, then the last button, then the "select text" voice (I've an italian one, sorry), it will be automatically copied to clipboard so you can paste it everywhere. I've not yet found a way to copy text from mail app, but you can open mail from browser anyway, following the same procedure
Thanks, works perfectly in the browser, and in text messages you can touch and hold the message to copy all its text. Unfortunately I usually need it more in email, and would take less time to re-write than log into webmail and copy. Seems like an oversight really, if it works in the broswer why can't they make it work elsewhere
Is there a way to compose text messages using speech to text? When I go in to compose a text message all I see is the swype keyboard.
I also thought you could fill in most (all???) text boxes/input fields using voice, but I haven't cracked that code either.
I searched this forum for "speech" and only got five hits, none of which look helpful:

Use the android keyboard.

For a few days I'm trying to solve one very annoying problem with my Blackstone (WM 6.1 Barebone 2.6):
After choosing for example "sent text message" in standard "Contacts" application, in phone application (I mean HTC dialer), action for chose contact is also changed form "m" (call mobile) to "txt" (send text message).
Furthermore - when trying to select this option (to send text message) no action is taking place.
Is there any way to delete the correlation between those two applications or set "call" action as selected permanently?
Hi every body,
I want to create an activity to import text and export text in the same activity like pictures I post below.
Pic story 1: Text View contains the text which is imported from the text field below.
In this picture, the keyboard is hidden below.
Pic story 2: When I press the text field, the keyboard will appear and the text field is pushed above. Now, the text view is covered by the keyboard and the text field and it automatically show the last row of the content. I can scroll the text view area to show all content of it.
After I input a text from the text field, the text view will automatically show it (text) at the last row.
Can you tell me how to code it?
Thank you a lot!
TextView.settext(textview.gettext() +"\n"+edittext.gettext());
