Last week my girlfriend received her brand new Huawei P8. I saw it was still running Android 5.0.1 so i wanted to update it first before she would start using it.
There was no OTA update available so i downloaded the B321 update, however i ****ed up! Update progress said it completed i believe, this went very fast. But now i am in a boot loop. I understand that i shouldn't had unzip the zipfile. I extracted the dload folder but this was wrong..
Also my bootloader was nog unlocked yet. I now try flashing another rom using fastboot but i get the following error:
FAILED (remote: Command not allowed)
I believe this is because of the locked bootloader. I try to get an unlock code and unlock the bootloader using fastboot. However, i need the product-id. Is there another method to obtain the product-id rather than entering the code using the dial?
I only needed the info on the box, nothing from the phone. Hope you get it fixed!
How did you obtain the product id? I got the IMEI and Serial from the box but i need a product id as well.

I used the generator to get my product-id. Used the phone C8812 from the generator. However, when i fill in this form:
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/6295995/Capture.PNG
Using my serial, imei and the product i keep getting the error message that i something is not correct.
I tried filling in Huawei GRA-L09 and Huawei C8812 as model. At the topic you gave it says, you need to click on the C8822 smart phone on the link but i am just shown some agreement and after that this form i posted.
Send it back to Huawei or whoever you bought it from to fix it.

Bricked Huawei P8
Hi. Maybe some of you manage to unbrick your phones and you have some tips. I was trying on mine everything that I found on internet. I can't start the EMUI everytime, but when it's starting I have only 3 options, reboot, download and recovery, shutdown. Hit the download but ends up with an error. I was flashing also with the fastboot. Nothing. Do you have other ideas to share? At this moment I can try everything. Thanks
Cheers

I'm guessing we ll lose root once we update again?

Thanks for the tips. But I can't find Ascend Mate 7 product model on the list. What is the model of yours?
I'm thinking to buy AM7, but I want to make sure that I can root and install custom rom later, before buying it.

Yes, you have to flash back to the factory recovery and then update. After this, re-root it again.

Actually what I meant is how to get the unlock code. Don't you need to unlock the device before rooting it? I checked on the Huawei website (http://www.emui.com/plugin.php?id=unlock&mod=detail) and I can't find the AM7 product model.

I've unlocked my phone successfully this way and rooted it. But then i had to flash stock recovery again cause if not, OTA upgrades doesn't work at all. Worse : factory reset makes ur Emui rom look totally different after reboot (basic look, no theming, ugly...)
So when i put stock recovery back and factory reset, it looked like before.
But i didn't need to root again.

Hey guys I thought I can get the bootloader unlock code whenever I want and unfortunately I haven't saved it. And I'm unable to get it anymore from Huawei's site because it just gives me an error everytime I try to. It says that the imei or something is incorrect and I'm sure it is correct.. So what can I do now? Any tool or something?

I downloaded the official ROM from huawei and is the recent version but when I tried to install it with "fastboot update file.zip" is asking for an android-text.txt and I been searching to re-create that file manually and then is asking for another file and so on.
I've been searching if I can install the oficcial ROM by fastboot even if is not unlocked and find this guide but it is not usefull for me 'cause I can't access into the download mode or use adb.
This is the information I could extract from my phone.
Firmware : ALE-L21C109B130
I couldn't fint this version of firmware.

Ok i searched for ways to find an IMEI number and found couple of ways...
1) Look under/in the sim tray. It may be there (I didn't check this out)
2) Find the IMEI/MEID using Google Dashboard. This is Google's control center that can be accessed from any computer with a web browser. You will need to log in with the Google account associated with your Android phone. You can access Google Dashboard by visiting www.google.com/settings/dashboard Expand the "Android" section by clicking the "Android" heading.Locate your phone in the list. If you have multiple devices associated with your account, all of the devices will be displayed. Find the device that you are trying to retrieve the IMEI/MEID number for. (This works)
3) At last, you can try to remove the back case and remove the battery. This can help you in 2 ways. Firstly, there should be IMEI code present under the battery. Secondly, this may cause you to get out of bootloop

I am still trying to figure it out. Based on where you live, you might be able to contact Nokia via online chat and they could direct you to a service centre to flash the phone. They don't have any in Canada though.
I am trying to get the legit firmware but I am not sure if it is the one I have or the modified one my phone came with causing me to be able to unsuccessfully install it.
How did yours wind up in that state?

Just a side note, I am able to sideload the update via the PC. It quits at 54% (failed to read command * no error) after showing those same parse errors on the screen though. Weirdly, then it reboots with a differently styled logo screen and tried (and fails) to update. Then the logo screen is normal again.
Just in case anyone is wondering, I spoke to the seller I purchased from on Amazon. Whether advertised or not, most China suppliers are installing a custom ROM on all China variants of the Nokia 6. When buying from a more local third party, you have no access to this ROM. I just bought this phone last week and knew about the update from Nokia so had confirmed with them that it currently didn't support Google Services. I didn't want a custom rom.
I have asked for either the rom installed or the official firmware that should have came with the phone and a means to install it or I will take action with Amazon tomorrow. I don't really want to return the phone, I'd likely wait for someone to release an official rom but I could barely afford this phone as it was and it is currently useless.
I just wanted to warn anyone else thinking about buying the Chinese model.

IMO the file that you download is to update the existing working ROM and the op has somehow ended up with one that doesn't work. So I think he would need the entire ROM the exact version that he last had to get back into the phone and then update.
Okay my phone is totally ****ed up, First i had unlocked the bootloader and rotted it via skrtools, installed twrp and cm 14 android 6. I was using my phone and everything was great but then i thought why dont I update it to Android 7, some features where missing but, I didint care. Then the official update came Android 7 and Emui 5.0. This is where all it began my root was gone but bootloader was still unlocked. Features where not working like bluetooth, nfc and that stupid loading screen where it says it failed vertification. I tried to do an hard reset multiple times but it keeps showing error and I dont know why
I got mad and visited my telephone provider shop where they said they fixed it but they really locked the fpr (Something like that) But that doest help ANYTHING! I'm stuck with my dumbass phone I cant use it because of missing features and stupid voice keybord. How to lock that bootloader? I forgot the bootloader code and I cant get it from the huawei site because it keeps saying error when its correct... Please help me out I'm tired of this bull**** I just want to return to normal android 7....

Alright so what firmware are you on now? Check "about phone" and then "build number"
What the problem is is that you did an incomplete update. You are missing alot of apps and functionality because it didn't do the update right. You need to download your full update zip file and extract it. In the zip is an UPDATE.APP file and some others. I'll explain how to flash it once we have the correct zip.

So, if your device I really p9 lite , this oeminfo will help you https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B70jqOUVoiIDbjhPdnZxaEFxUEU/view?usp=drivesdk
You have to flash it with twrp, then update your phone with b150-b160
Then you will have locked the bootloader. I've tested with my device VNS L31.
I'M NOT RESPONSE FOR ANY DAMAGE
