Sim request on boot

When i boot up the phone, it shows the please input your pin code thing..but then continues booting anyways? It used to allow me to put my pin code in first? Whats going on, and how do i fix it so it allows me to put in the pin before it boots?!
Same problem here.
Me too.
The quick and dirty fix I found is to remove the PIN request and set a phone lock code instead. The phone will always wait for the lock code on startup. The good thing with this is it locks the phone without regards to what SIM card you use. (You can call you SP and request a SIM card disable, right, but not a phone lock)
You can set a timeout for the lock. Additionally, whenever you connect the phone to a new computer it will lock the phone. Good anti-theft mechanism, but I'm sure it's easy to remove if you really want to.
I think it's a generic problem on this phone. I just push the call button again to get the PIN dialog up once more.
sad to hear this is a common problem as it poses a security threat..unless you take other measures. but inputting 2 passwords is quite annoying..ill just wait i guess... does anyone else have problems also that when on 3G the phone appears switched off if someone were to call and it doesnt connect properly?

NO SIM Card Inserted

Hey,
I keep getting this annoying message " NO SIM Card Inserted " and my trick is to turn the Airplane mode on/off for a couple of times so the SIM card is recognized again. But this is getting worse, I'm having this error the 4th time today and having to switch the airplane mode on/off for countless times before it works.
Anyone else having this problem?
Should I get my tab to service?
Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 P3100, Android 4.0.3 stock
Noboby having this issue?
I have it too. I think it's just the default message if there is no sim card inserted. When you put one in, it goes away. I don't really mind it. What I DO mind is a "--" symbol in the bottom notification bar. I used to be able to see the Weatherbug Temp or the Battery status percentage there, now I can't. Can't figure out how to get rid of it. (--)
Maybe I wasn't that clear, but I have an Orange sim in it.
Yesterday this problem with the sim was worst than ever so I'm going to Orange for a fix. Hoping that another sim will just do the trick.
i got a broken sim once after some rooting and flashing custom rom's
in my case it was clear the sim (because everithing worked well with an other sim)
and my sim was relay old (around 7 years). So try with another from a friend and you know. :good:
So it seems that I had a faulty sim and everything is ok since I got a new one. Problem solved.

Major Security Break

There is a bypass that can disable all kind of tracking if someone steals your phone.
It's the quick settings avaliability in lock screen mode, even when you have the any kind of protection turned on(PIN, Fingerprint, etc.). Try it yourself... Imagine yourself as a thief who stole the phone... You know someone can track you so you just like open quick settings and turn off all kind of data or just simply turn on airplane mode... There's not a single chance for the owner to track the device anymore.
It is not just on ZUK Z1, it's the whole Lolipop series.
My question is:
1. Is Marshmallow going to fix this problem?
2. Is there any way of contacting directly the people who work in Cyanogen on this phone, who can make option that can disable status bar pull down while the screen is locked.
(I know there might be some modding options that can do that, but I just got the phone and I'm not yet into rooting it and voiding warranty, and also it shouldn't even matter. You don't have to mod anything in order to get basic security over your phone.
And I also know there are more ways to break into phone, but this one is just too simple & fast)
Enogh panic! Just go to notification drawer settings and find out everything you need.
P.S. Thogh there is still an issue when mobile data can be disabled...
lol...if you phone is stolen two things happen first, sim card is removed and phone is power off...... then any sensible thief will then go in recovery mode and wipe it .....
phone disappears forever....
until there is a way to protect recovery mode via some password ,your phone can always be stolen without a trace...
i think you're in a wrong section mate.

You don't say? Not that I explained in the post that there are numerous ways of breaking in besides that. But to stop stupid people from easily stealing phone is neccessary to remove option of simply turning off data, location or any other connection source. Stop being cpt. Obivious and please answer the problem question if possible. Otherwise please don't point me things I already explained in the post. Thank you.
(I don't want to be rude, just to clear the situation, thank you for your understanding)
Is this serious, or a joke? LMAO

Samsung S8 AT&T SM-G950U - pattern locked out, can I install custom rom?

Anything I can do with this phone? Found it in the bay last friday, it's pattern locked and doesn't seem to take phone calls or allow me to contact anyone to retrieve..
Would I be able to install a custom rom or something to actually utilize this phone, does it need to be like IOS jailbroken first also?

Needs factory reset and Samsung frp lock removed. Att and Verizon can block signal to most phones that have been reported lost - stolen .
Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
ty, possible to use to watch movies on, if I ever get frp lock removed? I only see services that I have to pay for, I'll probably just leave it on shelf or something for now.
If you do get FRP removed, you will be able to use the phone like normal again.
If the Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile or Sprint blacklist the phone, a SIM card will never work in it again. But it will still function like normal but with no SIM in it. WiFi device only.
Thanks, after hours of searching for a solution, it would appear I can't remove FRP by any means that I've found online.. So seems I found a 700$ brick lol.

Hello
I few days back I opened my sim tray to take out my sim card and the the tray got stuck along with the sim. The sim is inside ,the tray only come out half way. Phone is functional I can make calls , send texts . But once the phone reaches 10% battery it shuts down on its own. Its been happening ever since the sim got misplaced. What should I do? The warrenty expired last month. I am just afraid of getting it dissembled . Will it affect it my performance once it gets dissembled? Is there no way to take it out without any of it.

You shouldn't let your device run that low any ways. Read up on deep discharge bug. There is a possibility that it won't turn one again. Btw most of the newer devices shut of anywhere from 5 to 15% so this is normal
