On boot, every once in a while I get this... No clue what is failing. Ideas?

What does that have do with anything?
I've seen this message a few times, too, but not recently. No idea where it was coming from.
Do you have stuff disabled with Package Disabler Pro? I wonder if some Sammy tracking bloat is trying to phone home, but it's not working.

Yeah, not sure why. I've noticed it only when I have the encryption protection password setting on. In which I noticed it takes like 30 seconds from boot for data to turn on. Maybe something that needs to connect on boot isn't able to??? When I press retry it fails.

Only thing disabled through PDP is a T-Mobile tracker but I've disabled that on all my other devices in the past.

Is the twitter app a system app? Do you only have the "Uninstall updates" option?
Nop, it is a normal app .-. However i found that this is a common problem (See Here) (point 2) So, probably i have only to wait

So then maybe this bug occurs only on some phones? Is the twitter app on your other phone the same version as the one on your N4?
Yes! But the notification always worked until yesteray .-.

It happened after I recently installed the most recent security update for June. It seems that the issue only happens with my home screen, my app drawer works fine all applications work fine, the phone works perfectly fine it's just the home screen that's all bugged out.
I've turned the phone on and off twice as far as troubleshooting goes and didn't solve anything.
Any clues on what to do and if you need any more info from me to troubleshoot it more. Thanks everybody
Clear cache and data for the home screen you are using, try a different home screen and see if you still have issues

Cleared the cache and data and tried different home screens. It's still just bugging out
Seen this on reddit. Some are saying it's a feature, working as intended. https://m.reddit.com/r/Nexus6P/comments/4lv8wd/whenever_i_change_my_wallpaper_to_anything_that/
I think it looks pretty cool.

Thanks for the link, I solved my issue
I have disabled NFC and all Android Pay/Samsung Pay apps, and still the 'N' icon still appears every now and then, and it will only go away if I restart the phone.
I notice that after a night of charging that most times I wake up and see the icon. I can't remember another situation when it happens, but I'm not using wireless charging so it's not being used. Does anyone know why this icon appears after disabling NFC, and how I could prevent it from doing so?

Try flashing the optimization script from here to see if it fixes anything . No idea if it will and I don't have this issue so I don't know exactly what is causing it - but just download the "S7_or_S7Edge_Fixes_V15.zip" and flash via FlashFire .

What root method or guide did you use? I found one on here but the steps are a little vague.
Whenever I press the wifi button to toggle it on or off, the wifi settings will get launched. It was not supposed to act that way unless I long-pressed on the wifi button. How can I fix this?

Well in the other thread you said you debloated so I'm thinking you removed a couple things you weren't supposed to.

Well, if that is true, what app could be missing for the functionality?

That's why it's recommended to make a nandroid backup before messing with stuff, or at least wow down the apps you ate removing so you can put them back.

I still have all the apps stored away somewhere. The thing is that I'm not sure if the problem was there before or after debloating. I'm just lazy of having to put the apps back and removing them again. I need someone to just point me in the right direction.
Has anyone else got this? I think it's due to some Amazon crap got disabled but I can't pin down the specific one.
Never mind, problem solved.

It's resolved by defrosting Alexa.modeswitch.

Thank you, I froze an bunch of the Amazon services and didn't notice this until I restarted.

I had a similar issue a few months ago after I would use Alexa on my rooted HD10'S except the line was blue. It took me forever to get rid of it by freezing/ unfreezing service apps. I still didn't know what caused it once I got rid of it. I'm glad I have an idea now

I've got it too. Sometimes it'll go away for awhile if I enter a full screen game. Not always but sometimes.
I also disabled a bunch of system apps via Lucky Patcher and can' figure out which app is causing the orange bar to appear. Has anyone found out yet?
