After some research, it looks like the MM update has a bug for T-mobile users. The fix is to flash the lollipop radio on 6.0, but since we don't have root are we able to do it some other way? Or maybe even go back to lollipop via Odin/or another tool? Any help or advice is much appreciated. My signal is getting worse and some times I get no service. Toggling airplane mode doesn't help anymore...

I wouldn't try downgrade. Not sure for newer Moto devices but older were bricked with downgrade.
Appreciate the feed back

Let me start by saying I know I have asked a few questions lately and I really appreciate the help. I am brand new to the nexus and don't want to brick it. I don't got money to just get another if I break it so I am being very careful with what I flash.
That said, I am planning to update my radio and I have read a few threads with regards to the topic. I found most of what I needed to know. My problem is I read a lot of posts saying it "broke" sensors or WiFi when flashed with the 4.2.1 Roms. Now it also goes on to say that 4.2.2. works fine with the newest radio, but i also seen where some were using a older radio (.27 I think it was)
Question 1- Can I use the .27 radio with the newest roms or is there a reason I need to use the .48 radio? Reason being the newest radio disables lte connectivity. Maybe the .27 keeps it?
Question 2- do I need to flash the new bootloader with the radio?
Sorry to act like a noob but with my older g-1 flashing the wrong radio and SPL could brick the device. So once again I am just trying to make certain I am taking the right steps. Thanks in advance...

Question 1:
Some people lose audio on phone calls when running the older radios on 4.2.2, but CyanogenMod 10.1-based ROMs work fine with .33 or .27 basebands, at least in my personal experience.
Question 2:
Not sure if there is some interplay between the bootloader and whether the radios work on 4.2.2. Haven't heard of there being any issues in this regard.

Yeah I would figure the cm variants would be coded for all different radios . I just didn't know if anyone out there knew the exact differences in radios and bootloaders. I have read so many posts and still can't get a really clear explanation.

I flashed .33 radio on 4.2.2 in order to keep using LTE here in Mexico. Phone works fine, haven't had any issues with it so far.

So you're using CM 10.1 with Radio .33 without issues and maintaining LTE/4G connectivity?
If so is it the latest nightly?
I was under the impression that the 33 radio caused all kinds of problems with 4.2.2. Are you sure you aren't on 4.2.1? Its crazy because I seen a lot of posts saying that they never updated but everything worked right on 4.2.2. I really wish someone could shed light on this issue.

Apparently the issue with CM 10.1 and the older radio is you lose autofocus in the CM camera (for example, might be more issues). Now, being in the UK, I have no need for the old radio as we don't have proper 4G here yet so I'm all 100% up-to-date and it works fine. Once 4G comes about I'll get a 'proper' 4G phone
With the latest update I received from Verizon for my Razr M XT907 my phone has been using battery a lot faster than normal and running overall slower. I'm wondering if there is a way to downgrade to an earlier update version or just to the original build that was on the phone when it was released. My phone is not rooted or otherwise modded otherwise I would of just put on another rom or just did a total refresh of everything but it's stock so I'm kinda stuck. I've done resets, I've cleared the cache, I've checked the current root methods and none of them seem to work on this build (which is build 98.18.94.xt907 on verizon).
Really would appreciate even a point in the right direction for this phone as it's never been like this before the update, the battery was always good before lasting all day on a single charge and the lag with apps was never there before this update and I'm really getting bummed out over the phone now suddenly dropping in quality over an update.

Since your bootloader is locked, you can't downgrade. There are also no root methods for the current update. If you've already tried to clear caches and FDR, you might just need to use the stock firmware and flash it in RSD and start with a clean slate.
Wait a second. Let me get this straight. Locked bl =no downgrade?? All of a sudden there is lag and the radio is terrible! I was counting on being able to rsd back to the previous build.

The update before the one that patched the boot loader disabled downgrading with RSD. If you complain to Verizon, you might get lucky and get a factory unit with 4.1.1 installed, where you can then unlock and enjoy working stock.

First I updated to Lollipop on my D801 and then rooted and flashed the correct bootstack and procedded to install a ROM, I tried BlissRom and Cyanogen but no matter what I could not get service. It just hang on registering with the network. Anyone have any idea why this is happening? I have checked and I still my IMEI. and the SIM card works fine in another phone.
Try flashing a new modem to your phone and see if it works.

Thank you! I flashed the new modem and service and data work but the data speeds are abysmal. I only get about 1 mb download while getting 5-10 upload.
Keep flashing modems until you find one that works well. I will attempt to find a modem for d801 meant for lollipop.

I've gotten kitkat modems and tried them out but they essentially are all the same. However, it seems my other phone is slow right now as well, albeit a bit faster but I will retest when I am in a different area. I looked everywhere to find a flashable lollipop modem for d801 but with no success. Thank you.

Let me start off by saying i appreciate all the developers who put in the hard work to make root and such possible. I could not imagine the frustration they go through.
So my question is about the future of this phones development, I feel like as of December 31 2016 that the chances of root are only for those with builds with/under pd8 (as far as I'm aware) (I am running PK1) everyone above pd8 build is SoL. So my question, is there any chance we will see full root for those of us on the newer builds? Also with the talks of the Nougat update around the corner will root be harder to achieve seeing as its new firmware and developers haven't had much time digging into it? My reason for wanting root is to have xposed running, viper4android and be able to debloat it. Forgive my ignorance but does it feel like the s7e development is stuck? I feel like maybe I would get a better experience if I traded in s7e for a device that has more stable development. I'm sorry if I offended anyone, if anything I just want to be informed.

Nothing sure what kind of answer you're looking for that you wouldn't already know.
We only have root due to an engineering kernel.
Android 7 requires a different kernel. So we can't use it.
So unless we get a leaked engineering kernel for Android 7 then we will have to see if we can unlock the bootloader or discover some other kind of exploit. But I'm sure you already knew all of that.
The s7 is pretty much dead, are only hope is that a dev finds an exploit and capitalizes or an inside man leaks a file for Nougat.

I just got CM14 (Nougat) on my Note 4, it made it into a whole new device way better than the laggy S7Edge. Here's hope that Nougat has some exploit and we can root it. CM14 is so smooth.
Root is supposed to work thru pk1 with eng kernel. When I update to official 7.x I am going to leave bootloader as is so I can still root.
I am not impressed that much with the new rom and hate the user interface, so I may go back to rooted 6.0 until if and when 7.x is rooted.

you may not be able to bootup android 7 with a MM bootloader. I ran into this problem in the past with my older notes. I couldn't get MM to work on a LP bootloader. It would awesome if someone could pull out the Beta nougat BL so we could revert it ends up being a problem.

Before I went back to stock to get the beta on the second phase, I went to stock Verizon and flashed their beta.
I was able to revert to stock tmo pk1, so am hoping that will be possible with the official 7.0 also, as that bootloader in rootable.

it was also BETA so they purposely could let you revert back if you didn't like the bugs ons BETA. that's why I said would be awesome if someone could pull the BETA boatloader so you have best of both worlds(pending on if they the official update wont boot up with a MM BL)

If we can't revert back to a bootable mm and that us no sign of a rootable nouget, I may just kiss thus device good by and get a 935f.
Chen has multiboot working on it plus, he has a 7.0 Rom with Wi-Fi calling working. I may have to give up some tmo network features, but given that they have no plans to get the higher speed frequencies where I live, there is not much that I will be loosing out on.

I was thinking the same thing, what all features would you lose? obviously t mobile bloat and wifi calling. what LTE bands would we lose?

Would not loose WiFi calling - it is working in Chen's 935f ROM. I think we loose band 12 and possibly another, bit not sure.
The best way would be to ask him - but am going to search his threads before I ask.
Does anyone know where I can get some fast boot flashable radios for the essential phone? And does anyone know if I can Flash an older bootloader and radio from Android nougat while I am running Android Oreo? I had a better signal with T-Mobile before the Oreo update but I do not want to soft brick or hard brick my phone. And thanks to anyone who can reply with true knowledge
Okay so I downloaded some stock firmware from Android nougat and I pulled out the modems from a couple different nougat stock firmware updates and I flashed the modem by itself from those updates and I was not able to hear anyone when I made a phone call. Does anyone know if I can Flash something else along with the modem and get this to work so I can use a different radio from Android nougat while I am on Android Oreo 8.1
Hey man, out of curiosity did you have an Evo 3d? I have seen that same pic for what seems like forever now?
