I've reinstalled fastboot drivers. My phone won't boot up. It shows the "bootloader is unlocked" screen, the shows the "M" Motorola logo, then goes black.
I fortunately have a backup phone, but I am not getting anywhere.
Any help is appreciated.

can you do a "fastboot getvar-all" ?
And is your bootloader unlocked?

Try renaming that long filename.
Try not using a script to flash.

this for you

[Q] Bricked Razr M

I have a razr m. It came with stock JB. I safestrapped it. I later had an issue so i tried to fastboot it using DROID_RAZR_M_Utility1.10. It worked but then i got an error in fastboot. I tried RSD. I get an error failed flashing process. 1/19 flash partition "gpt_main0.bin" -> PHONE returned FAIL. When using the razr m utility i get "writing 'system'... INFOProtocol error (multiflash unexpected).

Any help? stuck in the same situation
bootloader is unblocked?
U have to decompress first with rsd and then extract happened to me but u r gonna need the fast boot files
Sent from my XT907 using xda app-developers app
Yep, if you can't get the utility to work, do through RSD itself. I've used the Utility three times in the last week, and have had no problems. Not sure why you're having issues.
i found a solution - my fastboot was outdated. This created a requirement for the windows version of the Razr M utility. RSD never worked for me

hi, can you tell me how you fixed this problem, im getting the error in rsd and when i use matt's razr m utility.
i cd'ed into the utility folder and ran the utility. If that doesn't work you can try opening the fastboot update file and manually sending the commands through fastboot.

I'm when you say cd'ed, u mean open the windowsutility.bat using a cmd prompt? i did that and im still geting preflash verication failure at the end of the process and the same gpt_main0.bin error on the phone.

From what I understand, you can edit the XML file inside the zip file and remove the line with got_main0.bin. Save it and it should install. No guarantees, that's just what I read.

i did that and it still gets the failure and same result, it reboots and i see the red M and it just goes black. a lil bit more info, I was getting fail on the maintance update, so i tried rebloated my phone, and it was still failing, so i did a restore using twrp from a backup, but the camera was force closing, so i did a system wipe using twrp and now i think i'm bricked. safe strap shows up but is disabled and gets no input. anyone can help?
Try manually flashing everything based on the files in the XML file and see where you get an error. Use the fastboot flash and erase commands based on lines in the XML file

im having the same issue bricked and cannot boot and bootloader is locked:crying:
What OS are you using on your computer to run the utility? Are you using the Motorola charging/usb cable? Have you tried a different USB port on your computer? Is your battery charged.

I also tried it on a couple of PCs, with different cables, changing the xml, everything i could find to do. are we dead in the water? does this phone have a year warranty? the safe strap screen is still coming out, will that make the phone out of warranty?

maybe your download file is corrupted ,try download it again , the toolbox should work under cmd mode, it's better than RSD
way.
hey guys. just wanted to come here to say that i had previously soft-bricked my 907, and using RSDlite in conjunction with the pertinent files from matt's utility (seems to need to be 1.20 ; 1.10 absolutely did not work) got my handset working again in like 10 minutes. additional details available on request, but essentially it was a matter of having the phone turned on in AP fastboot mode, plugged into a USB port, at roughly 90% power, and clicking "start" in RSD lite 6.14. JB 4.1.2 stock (i used the fb files from matt's 1.20 file, haven't really investigated whether or not this is a crucial detail). i was dealing with a totally useless phone during the moments leading up to this process having worked.

This is a stock firmware so your phone should be stock after flashing.
What do you mean with "initial logo"?

Yes, that's what I meant is stuck at boot logo. I unlock the bootloader and do the process again but the result is the same. When i execute comands the phone show yellows letters, in other post i read that this is a good signal and all commands return OK but when restart still stuck at boot logo. The phone is Motorola XT1069 dual sim
Is it worth to update it from Kitkat to Lollipop? Why?

I will say the 1st boot after flashing can take 10 minutes + so it may seem stuck but isn't... have you left a good 15 to 20 minutes to pass before confirming its stuck // also you do have a xt1069 for certain?
battery must be over about 25% if I remember correctly -- think it refuses and says about battery too low in >10% in red -
I know with my xt1068 not only is there 8gb and 16gb but also early and late version (the late having a toshiba front cam) and uses LXB22-99-16 (feb 25th build) as opposed to (6th jan build) -my xt1068 can run either build as the early model
are xt1069 dual sim like xt1068 with added dtv ?

Sorry for the delay, but I had connectivity issues
I had never waited the 10 min, so I followed your advice, but after 30 min the outcome was the same, the phone was stuck at the boot logo. Yes my phone is dual sim and supports dtv. Im very shure that i have an xt1069, my intention is upload a picture from back side of my phone(label) but i dont know how to upload a picture to here.
thanks in advance

need the stock fastboot rom for the build npjs 25.93-14.4, (March security patch)

In need of the full stock firmware for the latest build NPJS 25.93-14.4(march security patch) with the bootloader relocking ability, just like the link below for the build NPJ25-93-14 as it won't allow me downgrade and relock the bootloader anymore:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g4-plus/how-to/moto-g4-plus-xt1640-43-athene-npj25-93-t3549369
In need for relocking the bootloader as I need to try my luck with the service center for the screen burn issue.
Any help would be really appreciated.
Much thanks in advance.
You can relock using the same procedure, input those lines in cmd window, while phone is in fastboot mode:
fastboot oem lock begin
fastboot oem lock begin
fastboot oem lock
fastboot reboot

Click to collapse
Note that the first two lines HAVE to be repeated like that.

I'm on NPJS 25.93.14.4, i'll just downgrade to 25-93-14 and check with the commands provided.
Btw, thank you and sorry as I'm a noob and bothering you again and again.
just one thing, I'll be using the following commnads:
mfastboot oem fb_mode_set
mfastboot flash partition gpt.bin
mfastboot flash bootloader bootloader.img
mfastboot flash logo logo.bin
mfastboot flash boot boot.img
mfastboot flash recovery recovery.img

mfastboot erase cache
mfastboot erase userdata
mfastboot erase customize
mfastboot erase clogo
mfastboot oem fb_mode_clear
for downgrading to 93-14.
That would be fine right?
Yeah, fastboot or mfastboot are equal. It's a batch file in that zip file that does the locking automatically:
Code:
mfastboot oem lock begin
mfastboot oem lock begin
mfastboot flash partition gpt.bin
mfastboot flash bootloader bootloader.img
mfastboot flash logo logo.bin
mfastboot flash boot boot.img
mfastboot flash recovery recovery.img

He just can't. Motorola is a BI***, now bootloader is asking for signed boot.img, next it will ask for signed oem.img and/or system.img (it actually mandates both, but it won't tell you right straight) after that it might please to let him relock the bootloader. All of those signed images must match the gpt.bin version (i.e: NPJ.25.93-14.4)
I'm a noob, so not sure why people wonder this happens, but it sure does.
I'm very interested as well because I have another issue that can't be solved except with the requested ROM: CID = 0xDEAD, bootloader says "oem_locked" while it is not and not one type of boot is possible (that was my fault writing inconsistent dd images to phone)
Anyway, he is right, and his problem won't go away unless he gets what he stated in his very first post.

yupp, i too think that the bootloader can only be relocked if the latest official firmware with the latest security patch is flashed via fastboot.
If possible can anyone please provide the latest firmware for xt1643 with the march sec. patch?
I have assumed that he has just installed the update and didn't change anything in the system.
i am on stock 93-14 build, dec sec. patch. Now should i have to wait for the march firmware to be posted or is there anything else that i can still do to lock the bootloader?
Once you flash an official OTA, you cannot downgrade the bootloader and partition table to a previous version. And locking the bootloader will need the latest fastboot firmware. Also, please consider using something like pastebin or hastebin for such long logs/outputs.
that is what i need, is it possible to create the new firmware using the latest ota file?
That's I haven't updated to 93-14-4 build cause you never know what goes wrong with your phone BTW way you can temporarily fix the screen burn issue by changing the RGB values using kernel auditor or ex kernel manager
Sent from my Moto G4 Plus using Tapatalk
yupp, i am using the bluelight filter for the time being
Same thing here, guess we have to wait for official and complete firmware... -_-
yupp, waiting for the same

Unlocked bootloader Phone stuck in bootloop

I successfully unlocked my bootloader last night. I went through the process of patching the img file through magisk to root and flashed it via fastbooot. I have been stuck in a loop since. I can still get into fastboot. I have tried Smart Assistant and RSD but they wont detect my phone.
I tried a using different firmware as others have posted and i'm still stuck.

You need to wipe everything with fastboot commands. Then flash stock again. Also there's no need to do any of that anymore to get root. Just flash the latest magisk in TWRP next time.

Extract all files from stock zip and run flashall.bat file at command prompt with phone connected in bootloader mode. This will flash and erase all to correct retail stock at Lolinet mirror
https://mirrors.lolinet.com/firmware/moto/river/official/RETAIL/
Flashall.bat file
Extract into adb folder (same as all files in stock zip file)

Install TWRP and then flash Magisk 20.2 and Magisk Manager APK
While patching the boot.img for your first installation, did you choose "Preserve force encryption" in "Advanced Settings"?
