[PKL -AL10] ROM update by Local update ? Anyone try it?

I have Honor 7 64 GB (PKL AL10) with ROm version B173 (it is Android 5.0.2).
I saw on honor web site that there is developer full ROM B708 (Android 5.1). There is no OTA (?)!
Does anyone try to update by local update? I was doing in in Honor 6 and everything was ok but is it the same procedure in Honor 7?

Where you find/read this information? Can you post link?

I flashed custom ROM (B173) for PLK AL10. It was a zip and everything went OK.

I installed by local update. Everything went good. Settings and Applications survived.

Developer build heat more battery life quite poor only notification omating stop now..but contact sync issue still ther not showing contact names in whatsapp sometimes installed google calendar and contact sync also.

Installed right now.

Hi all,
I've downloaded the update from first page link, put it into dload folder in internal memory and try to install it by manual update, but it break at 1% with message "Software install failed!".
What's wrong? Anyone faced the same issue?
My model is PKL -AL10.

Hisuite and USB-debugging both works fine. There is update in settings, but it's still missing local update optionbut it can be found from project menu.

Okay , thank you mate just downloaded file , ill place it in dload folder and update. I just hope i don't brick my phone... atm everything is stock , running on b331. What happens if update fails ? can i get back with stock recovery or somehow back up lollipop i am running atm?

I'am not sure, but i think it depends much the stage where it fails if it fails. Be sure that your fastboot is unlocked so you can flash custom recovery if necessary. update process is quite slow so take a cup or two of coffee while waiting.
My older messages contains links to twrp image of b511 and you can use it to go back to lollipop if all goes as wrong as it could go

I was on B331, all stock.

Same here. Surprisingly good, from b331 to b513.

Is the room good as a daily driver?

No! It's only for TL09.
Question for all others: is there way to save stock recovery from B513 to pc before flashing TWRP or is there way to extract only recovery from update.zip file ? Or is there somewhere to download B513 stock recovery ? I'm asking this question for later update to newer version of MM...

Ok how downgrade from b513 to b331
Download transision pack and put to internal sdcard
Now turn off pone and go to flash firmware using 3 bottom
In 99% you have error but this its no bug and push reboot
Now it optimalize to 100 % and go to setting and check you firmware you must have MT7-L09C900B300
If you have now copy b331 to internal sdcard and do it that same as transision pack
this procedure delete you all setting and internal sdcard
I do it with ext sdcard and this setting to upgrade *#*#2846579#*#* and choose 4
Cheers and work now on b331

This is what I am gonna try. I am currently on B511. I had used the TWRP nandriod backup from a different thread to restore to B511. Now I will use another TWRP backup to get to B513, then I will flash stock recovery, and then use the official downgrade pack from to get to B300 first and then to B331. I am missing any necessary steps? Do you think this will work? I am waiting for your expert advice before starting..

yes you can but when you restore b513 twrp you must have eu oeminfo ---> https://mega.nz/#!UsZz1JJY!8y92sSzjRhalMhrq2dImF87iNneJ8HpXmh6KQ8Eo8LI
copy only custom.bin and check you region its eu. If its eu flash stock recovery do it wipe and check again region eu

Download the zip file, unzip it, you will find a "dload" folder.
Put the folder on your sd card root, like sdcard1/dload.
Install this sd card to your phone.
Go to settings-system update-go to menu-local upate
select whether you want to backup or not, then proceed to update
I translate from Chinese guide, the specific words in your system may be different.

No u cant just flash a EU firmware and convert your phone. I know people have done it with Mate 8 and P9 so u can start by search there. There is a tool called SrkTool Huawei that can crossflash oeminfo so u can flash another firmware but no one has tested it on Honor 8 so if you want to be first be my gest here is a link to the tool and u can search on Mate 8 forum how to debrand your phone with this tool.

Hello to all
Im on Modaco's custom rom which is based on B101 and I'd love to switch to FRD-L19C636B120 for my Honor 8 Premium Edition but I don't wanna flash the update as it would format my device and I don't wanna root it and setup everything again. Is it possible to create a twrp compatible version of the B120 that I just flash it the easy way?

Need img to flash on /version (Emui5/Nougat)

I'm trying to flash nougat and get root, but i am having a hard time get it done. The build always shows up with test-keys.
I managed to get twrp installed and it can read the card, but installing SuperSU fails probably due to "cannot mount /version".
I fixed cust (which could also not be mounted) by flashing cust.img on the phone, and now I want to do the same, but I cannot see any /version in Huawei extrator.
Just realized that I maybe could make a backup of /version with twrp before rebooting, but I already downgraded and reflashed nougat at million times today.

No latest for C432 at the moment.

I rebranded from L29 to AL10 and changed it then. No afterwards. Is it the "VERLIST"? I tried to flash it, but the build is still showing as "test-keys".

Before this I have rebranded my phone to AL10 but then since there's a Nougat for C636. I flashed cust c636 back then flash nougat C636 again but I got the same problem with you build number is test-keys. I downgraded it to C636B211 then install C636 oeminfo using SRK tools and flash Nougat C636. Now my build number detected as NXT-L29C636B521.

Thanks, will try. I had same problem on C432. Hope flashing oeminfo might help.
