A few days ago i went from two years of CM back to stock (to try MM-Stock). I really like it, but there is this one annoying thing, i remember from KK. The S Finder and Quick Connect shortcuts directly in the Notification Panel. Back at KK i used the Xposed module Xposed G-Touchwiz. But as i tried, this doesn't work anymore/yet. I also ran the Barebone Cleaner, which sucessfully deleted both programs, but the shortcut stays.
Has anyone an idea/a solution to delete these?
If that's important, i run the ported SM-G900M 6.0.1 Firmware with Phoenix Kernel.
Cheers

Delete or rename (I usually rename)
"/system/etc/permissions/com.sec.feature.findo.xml"
Thanx for the answer, but it didn't work for me. I renamed the file, rebooted twice, but it's still there.

So i installed the samsung s5 lockscreen, or at least attempted to, I never realized you needed to flash in recovery. First I backed my files up. Then with the zip all I did was copy the files down to system in EZ Explorer, when I found out that my settings.apk went missing and the home button didnt work(or the lockscreen) I tried to restore my files, I restart my phone but no change still no settings and home button doesnt interact at all. (Stock S4 with Root)
(Also I cannot install apps anymore) Any help greatly appreciated!
I think you can solve this by Android development bridge (adb). In a few words, this is a way you can modify your internal memory from your ?. So, you have to push all backup.
If you don't know how to use it, in this page there are a lot of helpful post.

Sorry the app creates a backup, or do I need to have a previously installed backup?
Messed up even further!
Guys I tried to factory reset hoping to fix the problem, but as the config window opens up, I'm flooded with errors. My question is should I just install a ROM and hope that fixes it, or just go to my provider and go by the warranty?(Root I used is towelroot, so it should be gone after FR, so the warranty should still be good.)
Found a fix!
I did what it says here, works perfect except for wifi(Other then that its great)

App Settings [Lollipop Alternative by rovo89] [1]:
This was by far one of my favorite Xposed modules back when I wasn’t running Lollipop, and certainly the one I missed the most. With this baby you can change DPI per app (which allows you to keep whatever DPI you want on the rest of the SystemUI), as well as the application’s font scale, immersive mode, RAM pinning, and insistent notifications for those that don’t want to miss their valentine’s texts (and lose their heads over it).
Xposed GEL Settings [1][2]:
For those fans of the “pure Google experience”, this module can let you further customize your Google Launcher by letting you hide the search bar or individual applications, change grid, icon and text sizes, remove labels and more. It doesn’t make it quite as flexible as Nova, but it’s definitely a good module to have for those that love the Google integration of their launcher, and the cleanness and optimization of it.
RootCloak [1]:
Some apps detect root and either prevent access or limit your features as a preemptive method for security. While it is understandable some might want to further fortify their application, us XDA tinkerers can be left out of services due to this. This module hides root for the apps you choose, simple as that. We can’t specifically tell you what to use this module for, but if you’ve had problems like this before, look no further.
Advanced Power Menu+ [1]: This module lets you customize the power menu of your phone to add or remove items in any order you want. There are extra reboot options (soft boot, recovery boot, bootloader), a screenshot option, a quick-dial to call whoever, some connection toggles and a handy flashlight. I always have advanced power menus on my phones, and an Xposed module alternative is much easier than flashing additional zip’s. If this doesn’t work for you, the new Lollipop Power Menu module might.
XToast [1]:
This was one of my favorites back then, as it lets you add the Toast notification’s app origin into the message box by adding the corresponding app’s icon. That in itself makes it useful, but you can also customize said icon and add the name, or change the toast style back to older versions. The duration, transparency and where it appears also can be chosen. Basically, toasts are at your control to make them more informative and personal. You won’t know how awesome it is until you try it!
Lollipop Notification Ticker [1]:
This one was meant to restore the ticker on the status bar that informed you of the contents of your latest notifications. It was made before Xposed for Lollipop came out, which was a daring move that worked… partially. According to reports, it breaks heads-up notifications alongside fixing the ticker. If you dislike those in the first place, though, you might want to give it a try.
Native Clip board [1]:
Copying and pasting on smartphones was never the most fluid thing, nor the most consistent. This module adds clip-board management straight to the text-selection menu, and it allows you to theme the new menu, black-list apps and further customize it. If you happen to be working on your phone because there’s a document you might need to edit on the bus, this will prove useful.
BootManager :
A must-have to those that want their device to be slim and efficient on boot. This module allows you to select which applications run when you power up your device, and those that don’t get allowed to do so usually stay dormant until you fire them up. If you’ve got a good amount of things that you don’t need right away but are hesitant to greenify, this can alleviate the dilemma of your user experience.

I followed all steps correctly. I have a Moto E XT1022 running Android 5.0.2. I first installed apk and then went to twrp to falsh the zip file. It flashed without any problem. Then I wiped the Cache and Dalvik-Cache. Then I rebooted my phone to system but it didn't. It was stuck at the bootloader unlocked warning. I am able to go to bootloader and to the recovery but I am unable to boot into the system. Please help.

No I hadn't taken a backup and lollipop rom wasn't flashing. What I did was downgrade it to 4.4.4 and then updated it to 5.0.2 and then rooted it!! I guess I had to pay for not taking a backup!!! Anyway, thanks for your help.

Hi Guys,
Can't find anything specific about this, so if it is about somewhere apologies.
I have a Galaxy Note 3 all in full working order. That was until I installed from 4.4.2 to Lollypop 5. Since then the TouchWiz has stopped working. I noticed this when I tried to move some recently installed apps (installed before the OS upgrade) in to folders that were already created. When I hold the app to slide it into the appropriate folder I get
"Unfortunately, TouchWiz Home has stopped".
Has anyone else had the same problem and does anyone know of a working solution as I have not found one yet that works. Without it any new downloads will simply sit on more and more pages instead of in the correct folder for it's function.
Hope that makes sense.
Thanks in Advance

Make a factory reset and install that apps manually again.
Hello,
I am having through a major problem here. I am trying to figure how got into this and solve this problem.
I am new to android but generally and experienced user. Bought my Jiayu from vickmall pre-rooted about 4 months ago and realised that my phone if infected when random apps where installing themselves from time to time (once very two weeks eg.).
Generally I am installing Google apps only except Adway and a few other essential non google play apps.
Also I am careful with what I installed and most of apps ever download where legit (e.g facebook etc).
Thanks to SDMaid I found a virus SYSTEM app hidden from normal app explorer with the name "Pine" and package name org.slaughter.brilliant. The name itself got me very suspicious. I also noticed that "install from unknown sources" was automatically turned on each time I opening my Wifi or Data.
So I exported the apk and scanned through various online scanner giving me obviously that is harmful.
e.g anubis.iseclab org/?action=result&task_id=18ea3597ad6a61394e5335fefcbc86899&format=html
Un-installed it through SDMaid and then the nightmare came...
I am having numerous of app ads several times a day to the notifications bar or as a shortcut icons that go to google play. I see from time to time a toast says "Downloading" without having any visible result.
You realise that this is not as common as a rogue app can be, besides the fact I am acting like a paranoid at the moment ....
With SDMaid again through latest modified files I saw 3 files in the ES Explorer folder named "recomm" that had a list with all this spammy apps that I get notifications. I was quite upset and though that ES Explorer (quite known app I think) was packed with rogue apps!?. So I deleted it but nothing. Ads came again the other day.
I tried to see from what app came the ad notification "e.g Holo Launcer" by pressing the notification for a few secs. I saw that it came from trebuchet launcher...
I tried scanning my phone with avg, malwarebytes and kaspersky. I got something only with kaspersky the following file in a .kpsh folder (related to com.kpsh.sdk.KpshService of trebuchet?).
virustotal com/en/file/6871be33ba862c4594ffee60444f7cf296cb657e4f1384a27c1be6a5da0d7078/analysis/
Erased it but it seems to recreate itself again from time to time.
Also scanned trebuchet and settings app here and got these.
virustotal com/en/file/000f796f06f193f2e61eb007d374a06d3211ddb7e1facf3c386621e1f024b828/analysis/1442420388/
virustotal com/en/file/bbb2783fb9a2ad9aa94fc71d6b78179917e8669ec266cdd5758fd1e46f853bdf/analysis/1442420356/
I decided to erase the whole .kpsh folder to see if that solves the problem till now.
My mistake I believe is leaving "Unknown sources" on as it was by default and got to this mess without know what app did all this. I believe that I was going to get a warning before something got installed but unfortunately...no.
I don't know if this was prepacked or something or was totally my mistake somehow but I am slowly giving hope away.
Any suggestion would be very helpful.
Reflash the whole thing is my very very last option since I am not familiar with the process.
Thank you all for the time reading this.
Hi,
I've experienced exactly the same problem a couple of days ago. I used the Addons Detector-app to find out that the Trebuchet-app was responsible for the icon and message ads. Unfortunately it was part of the default apps and couldn't be deleted via the apps manager.
I first installed the Nova Launcher-app as a replacement for the Trebuchet Launcher 3
and activated it (Apps -> Start Page). Then I stopped the Trebuchet app, installed the Root Uninstaller-app, enabled the request of root access (Security Superuser), started the Root Uninstaller-app, chose System Apps and selected the Trebuchet Launcher-app. After pressing the delete button and confirming the root access the app was moved to the waste basket. That's it!
I found that "install from unknown sources" was several times enabled again without my action. AVG antivirus detected ap. "Education" and "Settings" ? as malware. I have frozen "Education" - it cant't uninstall, and after that unknown sources does not change it's status..
Find com.android.fallen if exists in system\app and delete it (use file explorer with root).

Same thing here but recently I got very tired and did "reflash the whole thing".
Ingredients were: Smart Phone Flash Tool, the right USB driver, a lot of RTFM and the latest 5.1.1 Beta (#4) from Jiayu Germany. Even though it is beta, I already prefer it over that bugged OS it came with.
Edit: Forgot to mention that I checked the beta #4 at virustotal, no probs!

Use SP Flash Tool on your computer. If you come from KK (such as perhaps your stock ROM) and go to to LP (such as the Beta10 ROM) then it is important to choose 'firmware upgrade' in SP Flash Tool. That's because partition layout changed (LP has one extra partition, not sure what it is for). Once on LP you can choose 'download' to flash further LP upgrades. To backup/recover a ROM one typically uses a custom recovery (mostly TWRP on S3). Beta10 comes prepackaged with LP partition aware TWRP. Beta10 also has GApps, so there is no need to flash GApps on top of it.

It's a bit hard to remember my odyssey though webspace back then but I bookmarked some stuff... but here is a pretty decent recipe: some link*
The SP Flash tool was fairly easy but to use get the drivers running was problem. Tried some things without success and got lucky with the same site: some other link**
Altogether:
1. Get SP Flash tool and the right USB driver and make it work (eg. ADB driver)
2. Get the ROM
3. Choose the ".scatter"-file in SP Flash tool and flash
It's some weeks now and I also vaguely remember that the phone had to be off (well, not really sure but you'll see).
! Don't forget to check any downloaded at least with virustotal - I did that back then but the DL-links might have changed.
!! Use it at your own risk! Some kittens might get killed, or even worse: your gets bricked.
* and ** Alas, my apologies, I am not allowed yet to post links but if you google for androidxda sp flash you should find it instantly or just let me know.
Okay, I'm probably a little late for this, but hopefully this will be somewhat helpful to other people having the same problem.
I myself have purchased a Jiayu S3 Advanced a few months back: while the price is hard to beat, it comes with that ROM that sometimes starts installing "random" apps on its own. At first it was bearable, but at some point it started downloading multiple apps every day.
After some analysis (pretty much looking for data usage by different apps) I figured that the problem was with the Trebuchet launcher (which was the only app in that list that I didn't recall using - and also, why would it need Internet access?).
So, what I've done was rather straightforward: install Google Now launcher (but any other launcher should do), uninstall that other launcher. Worked like a charm!
Also, I've heard a few people complaining about this sort of problem with Chinese smartphones: watch out and consider that next time you buy a new smartphone! I know I will
Well, it's my first time today using the music app on my cell phone after I've installed the ROM a few days ago. Unfortunately, the app crashes (it tells me: "Unfortunately, Music has stopped" and when I press the "OK" button, the app closes) with some sound files that were playing just fine on the stock music app of original ROM. Using VLC to play the same problematic files don't crash VLC but I notice hiccups/interruptions when playing the sound files using VLC (I've disabled all settings on that bundled program called Viper4Android FX thinking that it may be the culprit but it isn't). So all in all, the sound playback on my cell has some issues + music app has some issues as well and I'm not sure if it's just me or what.
Is there any patch for my model (LG G2 D802) after the release of 3.3 of Cloudy that I've missed?

I don't think so , lg music app should work even when disabling what you said before. try other music app if it works properly then try to clear lg music's data .or use x-plore app to extract music app form the rom and install it as system app using any root explorer .
The best way is to clean install of the rom.
Cheers
well, I just clean installed the ROM again and the before installing any app, i opened the music app but still same behaviour! Not sure why I'm alone having this but I found 2 music apps on the store and they played the files just fine. It's a shame that I've to get new apps to replace built-in misbehaving apps

i'm not 100% sure that stock music player works with viper4android...
try to go in settings > administrative tools > (scroll down to) use NuPlayer (experimental) - and turn it off (or on if it's off)
i think i also had a similar problem with viper4android until i fiddled with that setting (although it was a long time ago when i still used Cloudy rom)
edit:
one more thing when installing Cloudy3.3
no need for disabling that LG apps in cloudy aroma installer because of xposed - that has been fixed in xposed since version 68-69 (latest is 80 something) - cloudy3.3 came out before that xposed bug which caused some LG apps not to work

so do you want me to leave the 1st two options checked for LG software? (I don't remember their names exactly) & Do you also want me to check or uncheck the last option (LG cover something)? I'm a little confused actually. I'll wait for what you tell me to check / uncheck before installing the ROM for the 5th time!
Oh, and I disabled the NuPlayer but it didn't solve the problem!
sorry, i've ment "developer tools" - not administrative...
about installing those 2 lg apps - i don't think they're relevant for music app to work properly... i always disable/remove them in any rom i use because i don't need them...
i've just mentioned that because they're irrelevant for newer xposed versions...

Ok, I removed them as well as I don't need them. Installed CloudyG2 3.3 fresh and I set up my device as if it's new (I didn't restore anything from my Google backup just to make sure that I'm installing 100% fresh) and the music app still crashes (with some files). I've disabled NuPlayer and rebooted and still crashing occurs. I tried updating the Viper4Android and after doing that, it urged me to update the driver which I did, then rebooted as instructed, but every time I open the program, It urges me over and over again with the driver update. I disabled completely this program just in case it is the culprit but still Music app crashes with same files. I'm not really sure why it's just me who is having all of these issues!
I've decided to return back to stock but my computer doesn't want to finish installing the drivers during that "download mode" phase so I'm not even able to flash back the original stock KDZ file (my goal is to return back to stock flash, then re-install twrp, then apply some de-bloating myself but I'm still stuck with the 1st phase which is flashing my stock ROM back!)
well this is really weird...
try this
download and flash

(musica lg+ widget)
(this is the dropbox folder with various LG stock Lollipop apps which one of the xda users gathered for the people using Google Edition rom which lacks those LG stock apps)

I did and same behavior!
Does the Cloudy Zip file have 1.29 GB (1,391,310,778 bytes)?
Also when I activated the option of Zip signature in TWRP, my zip file failed the signature but it installed fine. Does this have something to do with the problem?
