I am pretty sure you dont get the rebate unless you get a 1 or 2 year contract with the phone. I submitted my rebate through the verizon online rebate center and mailed away with my verizon receipt from my online purchase and the rebate form I printed online.
Was this a fluke on verizon's behalf since I paid $530 for mine and not a new contract or extension? I mailed my rebate last week and got it today. $100 rebate card!
thats not sure. u can get the mail in rebate with full price. also i ordered mine from customer service over the phone and i still got a mail in rebate form, im pretty sure I can get that also, which they gave me the instant discount already
Wait I am thinking about getting switching to Incredible from the Eris for a few reason, but is this really true? Because, at 430 plus tax that is cheaper than going the ebay route. What can the rebated card be used for, can it be just used for cash?
if you are anywhere over 12 months into your plan you can upgrade to a new 2 year plan and only pay a $20 early upgrade fee... making the phone $220 .. U upgraded my secondary line for the incredible and they keep sending me emails for an extra 50 off of another incredible to upgrade my main account early... making it $150... if you wait verizon will send you some discount soon... especially if you are a long term customer.... I'm 9 years with VZW and finally I have a phone I'm not ashamed to own
The rebate applies regardless of the price you paid. The only way it doesn't apply is if you received an instant rebate at the time of purchase. I too, paid full retail, and got my debit card yesterday. Bringing the total cost of my Incredible, after I sold my Moto Droid and accessories, to $64.00.
Where would have it the lowest price eligible for the rebate?

I could of sworn the fine print said it was only applicable to people who got a 1 or 2 year contract, not people who paid full price. When I ordered the phone full price it did not show any discount available like it does with the 1 or 2 year contract, it shows price after rebate...

That's right, because when you re-up, or do a new contract, they give you the rebate instantly. When you go the full retail route, you have to mail it in.
I also paid full price for mine 529.00 at Best Buy and they would not give me any rebate, instant or mail in. You would think paying full price they would cut us some slack
Wow thanks for the info. I had no idea I could qualify for any rebates, but mine's on it's way right now. That extra $100 will be useful for a proper battery/charger/AF that this phone shoulda been stock with!
To find out if you are eligible for a rebate, simply go here, https://www.yourwirelessrebatecenter.com/promocenter/verizonwireless/promo_search.html, and fill in the required information.
The rebate only applies to 1/2yr contracts, so if you received a rebate and paid full retail then you lucked out. The *instant* rebate only applies online, telesales (if you tell them your are having errors ordering online), or sometimes indirect stores, other wise if your order at direct store or through customer service by phone, you would recieve a *mail* in rebate. Exceptions can be made depending on the situation.
All I know is, I paid $529 for my Incredible, ordered on the VZW website, did not extend my contract, sent in the rebate, and got my $100. If people aren't interested in $100, then so be it.

Yep I just sent mine in too, sold my TP2 for $300, getting this $100 back. Overall price for the Incredible - $164. I can be happy with that lol
i must have way over paid phone after tax was 620 last one they had in stock in Vegas was on vacation and won enough to buy one now need to sell xv6800 maybe get 100 for that then total would be 420 but i won 700 of 50 dollars so win win.
Thank you guys SO MUCH for posting about this! I also paid full retail for my phone, $530 + tax, with NO contract extension, and asked the store reps specifically if I was eligible for the $100 mail in rebate, to which they said NO, and even on my receipt "(Rebate NOT Elligible)". Why I ever listen to those clowns, I do not know... they also said I was not eligible for the free 2gb memory card... eh no big loss there but still I wonder.
Anyways, I followed the link and found that I AM eligible for the $100 rebate, got the form right from that link after filling in some basic info, and will mail it off tomorrow with my UPC and copy of my receipt. I don't forsee any issue with getting my $100 card
You guys made my day, and my wife's day as well . I also was lucky enough to sell my Touch Pro 2 to a coworker for $300, plus this $100, brings my total out of pocket to ~$150... Very nice indeed for a new phone after only 6 mos!
So anyone get their rebates yet since I posted this topic?
When i got the G2 last month with a partial upgrade i had to pay $350, then found out costco had them for 99$ and that people were calling 611 and making tmobile price match that and getting theirs for around $150 in the end...
I ended up returning the HTC G2 after finding out i had paid almost 3 times too much.
I just ended up calling 611 for my Mytouch HD upgrade and she marked my account at $260 for an upgrade.
Is that worth it? is costco selling it for less again? I want to snag this phone up today so ill wait a few hours and read any posts i may get.

EDIT: After a huge debate with a customer service rep, i was able to get the phone for $149.99 + TAX, but it was harder then pulling teeth!!!!
I got mine for $150 and adde the $20 data plan. I also signed a two year contract. No upgrade fee and free shipping.
I got the family more plus plan so I wanted to put down $300 for the phone. At the end I paid $347 with 2 silicon case (20% off the cases if I got 2. So I bought one for my cousin.) and change, but I have about $182 and change left to pay.
myTouch4G (Glacier)
Hubby called retention and got it for $149.99 (matching wirefly's price) and free shipping. With the EIP, paid $30 up front, and 3x $40 for the next three months bill. This is the upgrade price (+ 2 more years of contract) which I don't mind since we like T-mo and we're on a grandfathered plan.
Should be here on Wednesday.
I got mine at Costco. $200 - $50 MIR = $149.
i got mine from tmo for 99 then a 2nd one for 149 .... which i havent opened if anyone interested lol
Got mine for 150 on a new contract... - my 30% discount (radioshack) and - the 45$ I got from tmo in commission for selling the contract... breaks down to 75+sales tax
Then in 3 months the contract gets shredded when I convert it to dealer line
Sent from my HTC Glacier using XDA App
Free! I work there!
Sent from my HTC phone
how did you get both phones so cheap???? Would you mind sharing?
Me? Employee discount... I work at radioshack... plus I make commission off phone sales so I got paid to buy a phone
Sent from my HTC Glacier using XDA App
Through Wirefly and BOA
Ordered a new accnt from Wirefly for 79.99... But i did it through Bank of America's add it up program (You need a BOA checking accnt or credit card) so I will get 50$ credited back into my BOA accnt in a month's time... Net = 29.99$
Just ordered 2 at Amazon. $79 !!!!

I showed this to my tmobile store and they wanted my activations so they sold it to my for 79.99 and gave me a $50 T-Mobile rebate, so I never had to use my BoA card and I walked out of the store with 2 MT4G's. My gf wanted the purple one (I got the black) so I made them take the class 4 sd cards out of another black one and replace the purple's class 2.
Yes you read that right. Black ones get class 4 sandisk sd cards and the purple ones all had class 2 samsung sd cards. Not sure about the other colors.
Got mine for $149.99 thru retentions
But I wish I would have been one of the lucky to get it for $99 lol but $50 isn't something for me to get up in arms about because either way I got a deal I believe.
I got mine for 108 customer loyalty discount .
i got mine for $0.00
:-D
$99 - Loyalty discount NM
NM
There is no message.
I paid $212.13 after tax. They did wave $18 upgrade fee.
However, this was my first smartphone. Where I won was them allowing me to reverse grandfather into the $30 unlimited plan. The last update to my data usage was 2457MB as of 6:27pm 11/14/10, 6.5 days after I got it.
I got mine for free, my wife's was 199.
There are only two ways to get the loyalty discount:
1. You paid too much each month (> $100).
or
2. You haven't upgraded for ages ( out of contract for over a year or two).
Either way, it's a chimp change for AT&T to give you a small discount out of the $$$ they made out of you every month
I pay only $95/mo for entire family account of 3 lines and upgrade every single year (can live with any phone for over a year). So, no discount for me. But also means I saved $$$ every year, more than $100 or $200 discount for sure.

Or you have 4 smartphones...and associated data plans to go with them and unlimited messaging.
If I priced out 4 separate individual plans, I'd be paying through the nose. I think $150 for four smartphones with unlimited data (pre cap) and unlimited text/pix/vids etc. along with 2k mins is a pretty good deal

Only the service charge on the primary line counts into loyalty discount. You can pay for 100 lines and your loyalty discount remains the same.

that's true but i'm not even talking about the discount. He's saying that people who pay way too much are the only one's eligible for loyalty discount.
but I'm arguing that I think that 150 for all that i get is a very good deal
I paid $499 and tax. And promptly returned it the next day. I'll wait to see if any holiday sales pop up before thinking about purchasing one again.

Yes, $150 is a good deal for 4 smartphones, but he's also right because you don't qualify for the loyalty discount since you don't pay "too much".
Right now Focus is AT&T store exclusive, as soon as Amazon or Newegg has it, it'll be $100 less at least. Surround was available for free with a new contract at Amazon and it's a damn good phone for free!
I paid $106 for the Focus(haven't upgraded in almost a year) and got the unlimited data for smartphones on AT&T.I used to have the unlimited data for iphone so no change in monthly bill.

Correct. What I refered to was monthly bill, not how much you paid for your phone. It's the monthly bill that matters dollar wise, not the one time phone cost. Assume you pay $30 extra per month than most others, it could add up to $720 extra in 2-year contract and for that you get $100 discount on the phone. No a greatest deal but if you could use all that features you paid for, good for you. But personally I don't see any point of this poll/thread.
i'm curious as to how you got 3 lines with unlimited data/messaging and minutes for 95...?

I didn't say that.
Someone over at Engadget tipped regarding a $100 off holiday coupon for select phones - the Focus was included. I called AT&T customer service and asked them to credit me for the $100 so I didn't have to go through the trouble of returning it to the store and buying it again online just to save. They credited me $105. So I ended up paying $145 for my Focus after tax.
Does that coupon work for the non contract price? A $499 Focus would then be $399?
I don't know. I suggest anyone thinking about the focus. Which is awesome pressure the sales associate for the customer loyalty discount. and then report back here.

The coupon specifically stated it was only valid with certain phones and a 2 year contract
The phone is now on sale through Verizon and if you paid full price you can call and get a price adjustment. I paid $250 for my 64gb BN that I bought on December 4th, and just got a credit for $125.
This is the number I called 1 800 922 0204. You need to speak to billing, I was on hold for about 20 minutes, but that's well worth it for $125.
Hope this helps.

No.
if you used the edge program they will deduct 125 from the cost shorten the payments
Confirmed.. just got $100 refund on my Turbo 32GB.
I got my turbo on November 5th and tried calling in. They couldn't give me the full refund of $100 but did give me $40. I'll take it
edge discount
So they will give you $125 off if you are under edge? Really?
No. I tried and they wouldn't give me a credit.
Bought mine on the 29th and paid $950.
Since then price has dropped $130 to $820.
Trying to get some money back but no luck yet.
Hate to have to return the phone and get another one but may be the only option - I'm still in 14 day window of course.
Anyone else?
Upload a Pic of your receipt on Samsung pay and get $200 worth of points. This promo is from phones brought from t mobile and from 10/25 to 11/3. Yeah u lost out on the 130 but at least u get the $ 200. Me I lost out on both I brought mine last week from Samsung. Com
That's crazy, would it be worth it?
so potentially a new buyer could now buy one...today only, get $130 off from discounted price and then send receipt to samsung for $200 credit...right?

The $ 200.00 credit is done. Yesterday was the last day to buy it. You have until the 8th to upload it though. I think start date was 10/20 to 11/2 to be able to get the 200 credit in Samsung pay credit.

You're right! That's why the best course of action for OP is to claim the $200 credit since it was purchased on the 29th.
A return to buy a new one for $130 less would be a bad maneuver unless the OP also wants to buy the Fit Pro 2 for $49. Then, they could get $130 vs $200, but also gain about $150 value since the FP2 is regularly $199.
SO, ~$280 vs $200. But that ~$280 comes with some work.
The watch was a sumsung.com promo I think. I got mine for 50 last week with the online order. I uploaded a copy of the order Samsung emailed me and got approved. Yes it took me 10 tries but In th end it worked lol

That's great, but I of would made them give me another phone. You paid restocking fee and yet got the same phone. Does it matter? Nope, but a restock fee is a restock fee. Your old one would went back to tmobile and would became a refurb.
I lucked out and got the Samsung $200 Note 8 discount. I immediately applied it to my EIP payments. $750 beats $950 all day every day.
