Why on earth would you lock your bootloader? I haven't seen any method or tool that would allow you to recover from this. Do you have access to TWRP?

I do not know why blocked. No i don't have access to TWRP. I read that the Qualcomm chipset can be restored through the 9008 mode, but how to introduce the phone in this mode?

The bootloader will only lock if you do it yourself. You would need a specialised piece of software but I don't think anyone has access to it. I think your only option is to send it for repair.

I understood. Thank you.

Because this pops up when you search for this issue, i think its important to post a update in this thread.
There seem to now be some solutions for this:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6p/general/guide-how-to-bring-to-life-dead-nexus-t3581948
https://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6p/general/howtos-debrick-nexus-6p-stuck-edl-9008-t3552838
I dont know how to do this fix with linux.
I dont know if this would delete some data. Its very important to me to not loose any data.
My phone was under heavy load (navigation + call) and then went into this mode and is now stuck there for a week.

Nexus 6p struck in boot loop

Hi,
My Nexus 6p was running the latest OTP update of Android Nougat successfully, Suddenly while using google maps it, restarted and went into a boot loop. All i can see is the unlocked bootloader warning (i had unlocked the bootloader earlier) and then the google logo.
I am able to go into bootloader mode and my system identifies my device as a fastoboot device .
I was able to access my stock recovery but while trying to fix my phone, i tried installing twrp recovery and now whenever I choose the option of recovery mode using my volume keys. it again shows the google logo and nothing happens after that.
I have tried many things, but I am not able to resolve my boot loop. Somebody please help me. Please guide me what should be my approach to this problem

Ishmeet

FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS ONLY IF ANYTHING BETTER DOESNT COME UP BECAUSE I DON'T WANT TO FEEL GUILTY IF YOU "FUBAR" YOUR PHONE. I am not an expert in this stuff.. I can only follow instructions and the two videos helped me get out of crappy situation in the past couple weeks.
Follow the two videos below on how to re-install your drivers properly and flash and root Nougat 7.0
First go delete your driver from your PC via Device Manager. Anything that you can associate with N6P or Google.
Then watch this video on how to install new drivers.
This video on how to install Nougat
If you can access fastboot, I would just follow Heisenbergs guide (look In the stickies) and reflash the N stock images manually via fastboot. Also, make sure that you flash the recommended TWRP version that he has linked in his guide otherwise you will have problems with recovery. His guide has saved me multiple times when I messed up my phone.

I think I figured out mine problem. I am not sure what you mean by locked bootloader but in my case I was able to reboot to bootloader by pressing all three buttons (Volume up, Volume down and power button) at the same time.
Once you are there and if your bootloader is already unlocked you can flash your own android. Probably this process is called unbrick your phone. I am surprissed and sad as I am not allowed to post link which can help you. Ask admin.
Any related problem while following process. I can try as I am not very expert.
RIP my English.
Thanks

And that's why it's a good idea if you do ANY tinkering to your phone that you have an unlocked bootloader. I have screwed my phone up a hundred times over but nothing that a fastboot flash of the stock Google images couldn't overcome.
I'm not sure what situation you're in but I would try to get that bootloader unlocked asap. Just know that when you unlock it, every partition on the phone will be completely wiped to include internal storage (sd card).
I wasn't tinkering that's the thing. I was on the Android beta but I have installed those OTA. I would love to be able to unlock the bootloader but none of the commands will work to unlock it because usb debugging was not enabled or the developer options and I can't boot it to change that.

nexus 6p doesn't boot, with error when trying to unlock

Greeting,
My nexus 6P, suddenly while having a phone call, got freeze, then rebooted,
Then it keeps rebooting, showing Google “in white” while booting, then off, restart again “by itself”, and same in loop

If you can get into bootloader mode then maybe try fastest flashing things like stock recovery. If you manage to get stock recovery then boot into it and adb sideload a stock OTA from Google Developer website. Other than that I'm not too sure, you might need to contact Google/Huawei if that or anything else doesn't work.
---------- Post added at 08:43 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:35 PM ----------
Okay, in bootloader mode try flashing the stock bootloader image from their OTA by typing fastboot flash bootloader (drag bootloader image here) then type fastboot reboot-bootloader. After that type fastboot flash radio (drag radio image here). Then type fastboot reboot-bootloader again. After that you can try booting up. If you are somehow able to get into recovery mode whether you can boot up normally or not then you can simply adb sideloading the stock OTA. If nothing I have said gets you into recovery or to boot up the device then you are probably screwed to be honest. Good luck
Hi,
thanks for your reply,
let me make sure, that i understood you clearly,
when i boot into bootloader, and select the recovery mode,
it get rebooted, shows Google “in white” then restart again, and again in same loop exactly as if i booted normally, not into the bootloader
as i read in other posts, i should expect the device to show me a confirmation message, or something similar,
but in my case, nothing at all, restart, and keep restarting
The options i have with bootloader are
1- Start
2- Reboot bootloader
3- Recovery mode
4- Power off
5- Barcodes

Hi... RMA your phone... Contact google or Huawei depending where you bought your N6P.
Check this link. A lot of people seem to be in the same situation at the moment:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6p/help/boot-loop-death-nexus-6p-t3533528
You're in the same boat as a few of us.
Phone is stuck in a bootloop, won't go to recovery. Only boots to fastboot, but your bootloader is locked so you cannot boot/flash any zips, even official ones. That means no recovery access, which means no adb commands. ADB commands *might* be useful to reboot into EDL mode for QFIL flashing, or for wiping partitions. Problem is - if that bootloader wasn't unlocked, it's not going to be. You need to check "Allow OEM unlocking" in settings BEFORE the phone dies, otherwise you will not be able to unlock the bootloader and thereby reflash the phone.
In a perfect world - we could use EDL mode (or something) to use QFIL/MiFlash to completely rewrite the partitions and MAYBE bring the phone back to life, but the stock bootloader does not allow access to EDL. (tried the custom fastboot.exe meant to send the reboot-edl command, didn't work). If someone can figure out the JTAG pins, we might be able to move forward by purposely bricking it to QHUSB_BULK mode.
The thing is - we don't know why the phones started bootlooping in the first place. For some people, a simple cache wipe/factory reset fixes the loop and away they go. HOWEVER, those of us stuck in fastboot mode with a locked bootloader have no way to erase/wipe/format/write partitions, and even if we could, there's no guarantee it was a software issue that caused the loop in the first place.
TL/DR - You have a locked bootloader and cannot access recovery mode, this means you won't be able to flash/wipe/format partitions or images. Best bet is to contact Huawei/Google, but you'll need the original receipt. If that's not an option for you, you're gonna have to wait until the XDA geniuses out there grant us some answers.

Huawei P10 Lite - Bricked Device

Hello everyone.
I Have Huawei P10 Lite WAS-LX1A and I accidentally bricked my device.
I was using TWRP to install a rom, and I wipped my system but the rom couldn't be installed for some reason. So I thought my TWRP Version had a problem, so I tried with bootloader to istall a new TWRP.
In adb I pressed:
fastboot flash recovery TWRP_by_GreatSlon.img
Click to collapse
and then
fastboot flash recovery custom_boot_decryptdata_b130
Click to collapse
But now, it doesn't load TWRP at all when I press vulume up + power button. I am stuck with out TWRP and with out an OS.
And I can't enter bootloader to install a new TWRP. Is there anything I can do?
I do have a laptop and an SD Card and my Bootloader is unlocked. Phone Unlocked and FRP Unlock are red, so maybe there is a way to save my phone please? I need help please . Sorry if I am not explaining very good and if I don't write correctly, I'ts because I am very very sad . Please someone tell me there is a way to fix it. Maybe dload? But I cannot find any file that it fits.. Thanks in advance.
I found this youtu.be/pkWSDlrLmns and I intalled a new TWRP. But I still cannot find any ROM to install. Any help please?

you flashed twrp in recovery partition and after that, you flashed "custom_boot_decryptdata" also in recovery partition. so, twrp was overwritten. that's the reason why it doesn't work now. are you able to enter fastboot? (VOL- & power button)?
are you on emui5 or emui8?
if you can enter fastboot mode, flash twrp again.

Try to flash all partitions from a service rom.
I have the Same Problem. Only dark screen with fastboot connection.
(Sorry for the very late reply) I could enter fastboot using a pc, and then flashed a different twrp and costum rom.
Everything was okay. But, lately my rom started having network problems and I decided to flash an another rom..
But when I did, something wrong happened and now I am without twrp, without rom and with phone and frp locked.
My destiny is to brick my device and go to imposimple position, isn't it? I don't have my unlocked code so I cannot unlock my bootloader. I paid and tried dc unlocker to unlock my phone, but after plug-unplug it stopped being unlocked again and my money for dc unlocker gone for nothing and I am not willing to pay again for something like that. Any ideas to unlock my phone?
I sent an email and message to Huawei to see if they can give me the code, but idk if they will do. Any suggestions?
This post can be locked. This thread continues here. As for the Huawei, they respond that they don't give the unlock code anymore..

I was having issues with the android 11 so thought to downgrade. Since the system wouldn't allow me to do it from the local storage, I thought I will just install TWRP and then flash the OS that way but in the process, I don't know what went wrong but fastboot will flash the recovery but when I tried to boot to it with the command it put me to Qualcomm crash dump mode. I downloaded the MSM Tool as I have gone through this process before but for the millionth time, I just can't put my phone to EDL mode. Every time I try with the volume up+volume down, keep pressing it until I plug the cable into it, the phone just goes to fastboot mode.
TL;DR - only have access to fastboot, no recovery, can't even install recovery because of crashdump issue. Phone not entering into EDL mode tried pushing it from fastboot to EDL using commands but doesn't work. Since it is at fastboot every time, device manager sees it as android bootloader platform. Device manager sees it as Qualcomm HS-USB Diagnostics 900E.
I've almost tried everything and I know device manager is supposed to see the device as 9008 for the MSM tool to work but it is NOT GOING INTO EDL MODE!!!!!
*sigh* any help will be really appreciated guys. Thank you.

I just did this. So what I did was since there were fastboot stock roms available but not for android 11, I downloaded one...ran it through payload dumper and copied these files to overwrite the one from 10.5.13. But when I did that and everything went 100% as it should. My phone was not turning on now...no response on button presses and no sound when connected to computer...I thought did I really became the first one to hardbrick a oneplus....then I just checked in device manager and it was showing as 9008 at the end..which meant it is EDL mode...that was exactly what I wanted. I immediately started MSM Tool and there it was then I just started and now my phone is back to normal along woth having OOS 10.5.13 exactly what I wanted so thank you for pointing my foolish mistake.
Just replying here because this was the only google result when searching the error messages. I could only get into fastboot, no edl, and recovery gave the error message about download mode. I noticed when holding both buttons down and plugging in it would come up as the Qualcomm USB thing 9008, but every 10s it would reboot again and if I wasn't holding the keys go into fastboot. The solution was...
Have the MSM tool started and ready
In the 5-10s you have while the device shows as Qualcomm USB (QUSB 9008 something) hit the start button
This kept it in that mode and although the screen never showed anything it went through the 300s restore and I was back to stock.

Bare in mind that EDL mode doesn't last very long (least it didn't for me)
So make sure you're ready to press start on MSM, once the process has initialized it'll keep it in that mode.
Found it out by trial and error. I too thought I couldn't get into EDL but it's probably the last thing that would fail on the phone, if fast boot is working then EDL almost certainly is too.
