Recently I upgraded my laptop OS to Windows 10 Enterprise N
my Note 3 could not be recognized as MTP .Even Samsung Kies nor Smart Switch would not be installed on my laptop
error message pops up (you need to install reinstall Windows Media Feature Pack
I directed to Microsoft site (.microsoft.com/en-us/download/confirmation.aspx?id=48231), installed KB3099229, but I can not find Windows10-KB3010081-x64.msu (error)

Could be your version of Windows
I'm running Windows 10 Pro & both my Note 3's are recognised with no issues
On phone is rooted running Phronesis ROM and one is standard stock so it looks like it's a Windows issue you have
My note 3 is not rooted and the windows 10 enterprise N 64 bit
Have you installed Lastest samsung usb drivers?

Did you follow Microsofts instructions .
Did you search your question.
Usual reasons are no drivers .
Not Samsung cable .
No reason for Kies not to install on Win 10 retail versions anyway .
I have installed the latest drivers for note 3
Use another PC if you have followed all the instructions posted .

I'm trying to understand better this Media Server Bug that hangs copying file from / to PC / G2...
It sounds strange but... this bug is not present on each rom
With unofficial CM11 like unofficial AOKP like Bare Bones like other, NO WAY. Every time I try to copy more than 20 / 30 Mb, copying hangs...
BUT WITH PARANOID ?! Yeaaaah, it works without problem. I've tried to copy music, avi, apk, office files... from 10 Mb to 10 Gb in a single copy. Perfect ! No problem ! So... What is the secret of Paranoid Android rom 4.4.2 based ? It's possible to merge this miracle in other roms ?

I can never transfer files smoothly between my aosp room and my pc, even when I'm using paranoid kitkat beta 3 atm. Apparently its a huge MTP. People have been complaining and google says theyre looking into it. But if anyone knows a universal fix, please share.

Really strange man !
Paranoid for me is the only rom with no problems about transferring files ! I've tried this with my 4 PCs, W 7 64 Bit, W 8.1 32 Bit, W 8.1 64 Bit and Linux Pinguy 13.10 32 Bit :good:

I just got the Samsung A- 71- 5G and in most ways I like the Note 4 better. But I need to be able to use apps made for Android 8 are better. Got any suggestions? This new skin at XDA sure is hard to navigate

Usually you should receive the latest officially available firmware for your device, region and carrier via OTA (over the air).
If you want to check manually, you can use search feature in xda forum or an external tool such as Frija (on a PC).
There you can check and download latest firmware for your device. Then you can flash it with Odin also using a PC and USB cable to your device (as long as the bootloader is unlocked).

Many ROMs are available, according to you Note 4 variant, search XDA & select the one you like:​crDroid / FlokoROM / Havoc-OS / LineageOS​Supported Android Versions: (8.x, 9.x, 10.x, 11.x & even 12.x)
Where would you download roms for FlokoRom and Havoc-OS? I tried LineageOS 18 for trlte (N910V), but mobile network did not work. I also tried Resurrection Remix (Android 9) but mobile connectivity was quite bad. However, after updating modem to latest version using odin, mobile network connectivity improved great deal. Many of the custom roms mentioned in xda threads are no longer accessible and download links lead to 404. Best repository of custom roms seem to be in androidfilehost.com.
