Note 5 Indian users (SM-N920G) (How to use Jio Sim VoLTE calls)

I have tested this method on my N920G and it worked for me so don't know about other devices
As most of the Indian owners are aware of Jio network Preview offer for samsung flagships phone i.e. unlimited LTE , unlimited VOLTE calls , unlimited sms for 3 months. But there is an issue with the samsung latest update that does not allow most of the users to use Jio sim for making calls using stock dialer also they are getting 4g written on status bar and have to use Jio Join app for making calls and sms.
but i have found a solution to this issue and that is you have to downgrade your firmware to DD3 in order to get VoLte working and then u can update via OTA once it starts working.
All you got to do is flash

I had the same issue.. flashing this firmware now.. fingers crossed. will let u know if it worked for me. Thanks for posting this. :good:
Edit - Flashed the firmware and now it shows the "Volte" symbol at the top.. but system prompting for the new upgrade, will i lose it again if i do the OTA upgrade? please confirm.

first of all check your device model by going in settings-about device
if its N920G
then download the firmware i have mentioned above and take backup of all ur files as all the data will get deleted.
then install odin in your pc and in your device go to settings- about device - software info- then click on build number 7 times it will enable developer mode
in developer mode switch on usb debugging and OEM unlocked
then switch off the device and press power home and volume down button it will take you to the download mode and then follow on screen instructions
once you are able to see your device in odin click on ap tab and select the file you downloaded and click on start wait till the process get complete and it will show pass

I had not rooted my phone and I was getting VOLTE already the moment I inserted the sim in the phone. The speed is freaking amazing.

I have the latest update and volte works great. But i want to know it is possible to change lta band? Service Menu open but the code for lte band selection don't work. It seems it is disabled in update.

I have N9208 dual sim note 5 bought in Malaysia. It is not showing volte with my jio sim but 4g data is working great. Will this firmware work with my dual sim version.

I don't think so because this firmware is specifically for N920G devices but you can head over to DR.Ketan's thread as he had got it working on his rom

you can either try my rom or dr Ketan m8 rom both will have lte working..

Follow the method given in the link and you are sure of getting Volte. You can use Jio without Jiovoice.

reliance jio in kerala.
im having electron teams custom rom..
thinking of trying stock rom for volte option.
my phone is xsg csc too..
only us seems to have that option( not the 910c variant)
reluctant to flash coz i dont want to start from scratch with data cleaning..

Did to tried Jiojoin app?...I am using Stock rom but direct volte is not available...by using jio join app fir calling.....

yes but jiojoin only works sometimes and call quality isnt that good.. sounds just like voip, with speechlag

Ketans rom is for N910G(snapdragon variant of the phone)
We on the other hand is stuck with N910C(exynos variant of the phone)
even though i read that the hardware supports VoLTE, cant find any rom with VoLTE version

Any luck in finding software support for VoLTE ?

I also have a UAE csc Note 4 SM-910C . It shows 4G but the LTE sign never shows up only 4G appear and have to use the JioJoin App which has a reliability of sadly 50% only. If any solutions please respond.

nothing yet, jio4gvoice is the only way out for now.. btw 4g is lte and seeing either of the signs is fine. the thing is we need VoLTE sign to get calling working without use of jio4gvoice app.

No. I'm currently facing issues with getting the signal bars for Jio 4g Sim. I think Jio sim is not supported in Yu Yureka(AO5510).

How did you fix it? I'm not getting signal in Yureka (AO5510) , whereas the sim is working fine in other mobiles. It says "No Service", please help.

,, You need to install old cm 12.1 flash file to use jio 4g sim yureka AO5510 .

select Data usage as jio sim (sim1/sim2) it will take some time if its first time, after that for internet reset the apn setting after the network comes back Hope this will help yu

Currently VoLTE is not supported on Yureka cyanogen. You have to use Jio4G Voice which is made for use in non VoLTE phones. You have to create APN manually to use Jio 4G internet on your device. Just set APN name to jionet and save it. Jio only work in 4G network because it is true 4G can't be operated on 2G or 3G.

i am using cynogen 13 in my YU AO5510 and network is showing LTE but i had to make calll using JIO4G app using internet option on, why it is like that.
cant i use direct dialer for making calls.

Even with jio4gvoice app I am not able to make calls. In the app when I click on the Audio Call button(the green button) the call menu disappears and nothing happens. I am fed up of this probelm. I have tried hexagon ROM, CM13.0 and stock COS 12.1 but still facing the same issue.

I flashed YU5510a VoLte ROM and my display works only after reboot.. After locking (and unlocking) , It doesn't work properly anymore..
Anyone else experiencing same problem ??

Can you share the link of the zip file of YU5510a stock rom which I can flash through custom recovery because I am not able to do it with with YGDP tool.

Please do not install YU5510A firmware on AO5510 it cause problem.Sensers are not work.For getting volte you try gravity os v2.0 or quarkos 2.0 in yuforums.

I am having Lenovo k3 note
Recently I updated from lollipop to marshmallow
Now i am on K50a40_S322_160314_ROW
Now it is showing that update available is K50a40_S324_160328_ROW
This update is of 4MB
I have not updated to that 4 mb patch because i read on xda that after updating to this patch volte option goes off
Also when i dial *#*#4636#*#*
Phone info
It shows "Turn off VOLTE provisioned flag"
Which i understand that volte is ON
In notification, statusbar icons volte is ON
Still i cannot use calling without jio4gvoice
If you can help will be very thankful to you

Its very simple logic bro...our k3 note supports voLTE...but to use direct calling from phone dialer the company should have to register our model in Jio volte supported model list..then a simple patch will do the work..

Airtel Volte [How to Enable It]

Hey guys, I have finally arrived at a proper result after a long time.
Airtel supports Volte in all areas except J&k. , as mentioned on their website: https://www.airtel.in/volte/
Note: First u need to have an Airtel 4g sim along with a 4g/3g data plan.
So the steps to activate Volte is simple :
1. Go to the airtel Volte website given above.
2. Check for compatible devices
Note: You will be needing any one of the compatible devices listed by Airtel on their page.
3. Now you have to put your sim in the device [ compatible one ] and they reset the network settings of the device.
4. Now restart the phone and wait for some time.
5. After doing so you would get a link from Airtel.
Note: Something similar to this - Please open the following link to get manual instructions for service settings.

6. After clicking on the link, you have to restart the device.

It's working guys.

I used galaxy j7 which is supported device. I waited for 15 mins and tried rebooting even i didn't get volte or sms mentioned above, Then I called customer care and asked about volte ,then they told your device is volte supported and keep using your device to get volte after 2 mins i got volte in j7 then i switched to z2 plus , volte is working now in z2

I ve got VoLTE icon when I updated to aex 6.3, however when I make calls network falls back to 3G, which isnt supposed to happen. Anyone else?

ok to solve your issue, all you gotta do is follow this website: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3695877 get the latest version of Indian stock rom guess (zui 2.5) and install that using qfil.
now set it up and enable volte on the device. Then follow the steps given above. Happy Flashing :good:

No matter what I try, wait for similar message as given in #1 or call customer care for volte settings they are just providing me with Instructions on how to enable VoLTE in settings.
I'm not able to get beyond that point i.e., not able to receive the link to enable VoLTE on my sim card.

I didn't got any link but kept my sim in poco f1 for 4hrs it's worked for me....
Now i can able to use volte in Z2 Plus....

Problem is it is working only for 2 mins after that is directly going to 2 g network, then again i need to reboot/ aeroplane mod/ changing network to 3g and then to 4g to get volte. almost all roms are having issue for me. Cana may one please provide solution for thia

Sim is slot1 only.
I have followed what you have said, I have kept LTE only in phone info after that I am getting volte with out any issue.
Now issue is after changing phone info to LTE I am unable call / receive calls
