My Huawei watch dipped below 15% and a card appeared asking if I wanted to activate Battery Saver Mode. I did. Later, I charged my watch, but the battery saver card was gone and the mode was still activated. The screen will not stay on, (despite having "screen always on" enabled), and I do not get any vibrations or other alerts.
How can I manually deactivate Battery Saver Mode? I don't see it anywhere on the watch or the Android Wear app on my phone..
I'm in the same boat on my Samsung Gear Live. Severely limiting the value of the device. The gestures can be turned back on, but an AMOLED display should be more than a pretty screen.

I'm curious what wifi setting people are using with the new 3.1 update?
Off with screen off
Always on
Always on while charging

Off with screen off.
Get tired of notification sounds when not using it.
Also, battery life seems even better with 3.1 - now regularly getting 12 hours per charge.
I have it always on. It doesn't really use much more battery and I like to have IM applications on most of the time. I just tap on the clock on the bottom-right corner and turn airplane mode on when I'm sleeping and turn it off when I awake. Simple and efficient.
Also "always on". WiFi used almost exactly 1% battery life per hour when I left my tablet alone for two days, not going to worry about a 4day "standby" timer
I wanted to see how much screen on time I could get on the stock battery, and was surprised that I could get 12 hours.
I call bluff. Even though your showing screenshots. That would be incredible if true though.

I can see this as being possible if:
-You're sitting next to the router and/or in airplane mode.
-screen brightness turned all the way down + screen filter
-no app syncing whatsoever
-doing something that doesn't involve the network, eg: playing a video.
Shenanigans!!!

Exactly. I've seen them upwards of 6 hours when on network. But, not with him showing poor LTE coverage. No way that one will get 12 hours of on screen time.
It happens to me yesterday, I leave the phone in Airplane Mode at 11pm and in the next day I heard a low battery warning..and then I thought "ugh..bad kernel! it supposed to last than a day in airplane mode" but when I see battery status, it's been awake 10 hrs with 8h 26m screen on..idk if it's a bug or the screen really turned on because i'm using a cover (it's a Galaxy Note btw, forgot to mention)

Any chance we could see the detailed graph info (when you tap on the graph in the second screenshot)? Otherwise, I'll assume you were in airplane mode until just before taking the screenshots.
I was extremely impressed when I saw over 4 and a half hours of screen on time, since my OG Evo only got about 2 and a half (I think it got up to 3 hours once). Now that I've had the phone for a week, my normal screen on time is between 5.5 and 6.5 hours. That's with almost-exclusively using Wifi with good signal and screen brightness at 26%, no GPS, etc. If anyone can actually get significantly more than 6.5 hours screen on time without airplane mode, I'd like to hear how.
Sorry for the confusion, I was testing out "picture frame" mode here is what I did:
-I turned off the radios using the "phone info" app, which is similar to airplane mode.
-Screen brightness to min.
-Turned on all power saving options.
-Used "screen on" app to keep the screen on.
-Used the gallery with a pitch black picture(I didn't want to get screen burn in)
-The radio was turned on just prior to the screen shot so that I could e-mail myself the screen shot.

So 12 hours without looking for/maintaining a radio signal and showing a black screen? Not impressed.
Hello XDA members! I have recently bought a used Samsung Galaxy S4 SGH-I337M Telus/Koodo a few days ago on a website similar to Craigslist but better (Kijiji). I got it unlocked and updated it Android 4.3 not rooted.
Anyways, my phone battery is really bad. Yesterday night, the battery was at 47% when I went to sleep. No apps were running except my SMS app and WakeLock Detector. The wifi was turned off, the Power Saving Mode was on and the brightness was set to its lowest. This morrning when I woke up, the phone was at 19%, so it lost 28% in about 8.5 hours while in standby mode. I tried the app Deep Sleep Battery Saver but it doesn't seem to work very well. When I check WakeLock Detector stats, the Deep Sleep time is always at 0.0 seconds; therefore, my phone has NEVER entered in Deep Sleep mode Help please?
Somoeone help pleaseeeee?
Did you read the app description? If you turn off WiFI and enable Power Saving mode, it block WIFI and Mobile DATA then the app cannot put your device in deepsleep.
Description:
During deep sleep mode, Wifi, 3G are turned off, background apps are stopped. Therefore, most apps are not working, including Facebook, Google Service, etc,. It then constantly wakes up in order to download email, sync Facebook status, etc,.
I can't really help you for the batt drain unless you could root your device to get more information from CPU: twist Process setting or buy another app on the playstore to monitor your battery drain like BetterBatteryStats.
I want to spend some time developing a 'sleep mode' for android wear. I often sleep with it on and would like a mode which keeps the light off while I'm asleep.
Has there been any effort in implementing this, and how would you proceed?

That would be really awesome.

Bump to that!
thats a nice idea
Great idea. I'd suggest activating sleep mode either when the watch is placed in the charger, or give users the ability to set start and stop times for sleep mode.
I agree, thats cool. It would be great if the smartwatch 3 could stand in low energy mode without light all the time. Because the smartwatch 3 has a transflective display. You could read the time with display-light off.
The closest I've seen is the sleep as android app. I've tried with mixed results but I never seem to get the watch lighting up while sleeping
There seems to be a sleep mode on the next update wear 5.0...you can get the screen on by Double tapping screen or by pressing the crown button

Bump!
Would really love this, an app that unchecks the ”Always-on screen” setting for selected hours of the day, so that the watch automatically turns screen of when you sleep for example…
Oh please..... We need this
I hate manually turning off the watch before bed and back on in the morning. But I did get 36 hours with 9% battery left on my LG G Watch using this method
Someone should write an app that can auto toggle the new theater mode at night/quiet hours
I usually turn the watch in airplane mode in the night... Burns 1% per hr battery overnight on my moto 360

Hey!
I used the app "Always on AMOLED" a while back and I loved the always on display, but my Device never entered deep sleep mode, and I had a big hit on the battery (I had to charge mid-day which i never do otherwise) and my phone was constantly hot.
I wanted to check if they have updated the app so that it's better optimized now, or if you know any apps that let the Device go to deep sleep with the always on display
