[Q] Devs to built KitKat 4.4 from source

Hey there!
Are there any devs that want to built KitKat from source for our find5?
Thanks in advance.
I believe all 3rd party roms for Find 5 will upgrade to 4.4. At least the active ones who keep getting updates.

As soon as aosp Master branch is being updated to kitkat, cfxe will go for it hopefully it will come soon so we can get started
A side node: omni rom uses branch :android-4-4_r1 , whats diffrent from master branch is , that is the first release, and master branch is the dev branch. If we use 4-4_r1 99% sure nothing is being merged to aosp, but when we use master branch , changes is being merged to aosp sources.

[Q] How to build Paranoid Android from source

Does anyone have a recent or mako specific guide on how to build Paranoid Android builds, I'd like to cherry pick a few smaller features into the already powerful ROM.
Would following the OmniRom guide and basically replacing the Omni values with the correct Paranoid Android values work out? Or is there other specific stuff I need to do?
I've got Ubuntu 13.04 & currently building OmniRom whenever I see there's a bit of a decent update but other then that I'm pretty much a noob .
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1863547
Basically just clone the PA source, add the mako specific stuff (kernel, device, and vendor from TheMuppets repo) and compile. If you have any other questions just ask in the thread a linked above.

Build Guide for CyanogenMod totally broken

The build guide for CyanogenMod is totally broken and not fit for purpose.
I will explain.
This guide doesn't work: http://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Build_for_jflte
I have downloaded and installed the latest Nightly for the S4 jflte
When running the ./extract-files.sh section of the guide it runs and extracts the propitiatory files and writes the make files for these.
HOWEVER, upon build the ROM will not boot.
So, I synced using https://github.com/TheMuppets/proprietary_vendor_samsung for the propriatory libs and files.
This builds properly, and boots, however, the Camera does not record video. Not a single line of code for the camera or hardware libraries has been touched. Not one line. Equally, the same code compiled for the i9300 works fine, the camera, works fine. In Official CM nightlies, the camera works fine.
Why does CyanogenMod's guide not work? Even for the i9300, I had to use TheMuppets propriatory libs rather than the broken CyanogenMod guide suggesting to using a nightly
Can anyone explain how to get the camera working properly?

[MarshMallow] Unofficial LiquidSmooth MM6.0 | Oppo Find 5

Just IN....
The nice smooth LiquidSmooth with MarshMallow 6.0 and latest android-6.0.1_r10.
Install:
First time installing LiquidSmooth to your Find5, or coming from another ROM:
- Make sure you're running a proper working Recovery (TWRP 2.8.6.0 recommended)
- Copy GApps and LS-MM-v6.0--YYYY-MM-DD-liquid_find5.zip to your internal SDCard
- Boot into Recovery
- DO A DATA WIPE / FACTORY RESET
- Flash LS-MM-v6.0--YYYY-MM-DD-liquid_find5.zip
- Flash GApps zip (I you don't need all Google feature, i recommend Opengapps, mini)
- Reboot
Works:
- Device boots
- Graphics working OK (No stress tests done)
- WiFi, bluetooth works
- Vibrator, sounds, apps, etc. works
Does not work:
- Cellular network is unavailable. I will fix this in my next update
- Minor things not tested (Please give your input or raise issues)

Sorry guys. My repo is messed up now. I need to fix certain errors in kernel and cm13 frameworks before anything is delivered. Working on it...
I will test it out for you but i am not sure how I can help you. If you release the rom I will try to flash it.
I currently already have cm13 from wux on my find 5 running.

Ditto, and not sure if wuxianlin is going to release newer builds. Even with the existing bugs, I like CM13:
The big 3 problems with Oppo Find 5 CM13 builds are WiFi hotspot not working, bluetooth audio not working, video recording not working. If this is going to be an active ROM that will be maintained and I can help testing, I'll install it.
New build with Liquidsmooth this time. Help yourself...

Nope. All these things will work but right now I am stuck with simcard not being detected. Am trying to debug that. And get the camera profiles up and running.
Dear All,
I am changing companies and also moving computer builds these days. So I will not be able to work on this anymore. But hopefully, I will come back with an Oreo build for our beloved Find5. I will close all the other development threads that I have since no further development will take place on the older versions.

Looking for Hardware Blobs Compatible With the AOSP Master Branch

Hi everyone,
I am wanting to compile stock AOSP from the master branch per the instructions provided on the AOSP website. However, when looking for the proprietary binaries that are needed to enable hardware functionality, there are no binaries available for my Nexus 7 (WiFi, 2012). Has anyone managed to find any binaries that would be compatible that I could install into the source tree prior to commencing the build? I'm honestly not sure what I should be Googling for, if such binaries even exist. I can find binary blobs for the 2013 model (Flo), but the newest blobs I can find for the 2012 model are for 5.1.1.
Thanks in advance for all your help!
Tyler K.
