Hi there,
Ga a ZUK Z1 here running the latest COS form OTA.
My data usage is really high.
Tried to figure out why, since I'am always near WiFi and have WiFi always on.
Checked the settings in wifi->advanced->keep wifi on = always
Even though, most of the time the WiFi disconnects when the screen is off.
Why doesn't the phone react to the setting?
How to fix this? (costing me a lot of data and thus €€€)
Hello, i have the same problem. But found no solution.

My Nexus 4 shows the same thing unless I actually turn off the wifi. I just leave my wifi on so when I come home it auto connects.
Weird minesays the same. I had my wifi off for at least 5hours

You have to go into WiFi settings and select one of the other features in advanced settings
TWEAKED 2.5
Because your WiFi radio keeps actively searching for an active signal unless you turn it off.

I believe the option in the advanced settings is "Scanning always available". If you turn that option off it should stop.

Simple, because the WiFi radio is on.
I have found WiFi battery usage to be very odd on the Note, at least Note 1. I used to have it turn off on screen off (settings default), but that caused battery drain. I then used Llama (Location Aware Mobile App?) to turn it off when the screen was off after a minute. Still drained.
I eventually left it on all the time I was at home or work, and it was much, much better. I guess going on and off all the time was the drag, or caused another issue.
I then used Llama to turn it off whenever I leave home or work, and turn it back on when I arrive. Happiness achieved.
I just drag down the notification bar and hit the toggle. One less active app to hog memory and battery...
Then again I also turn off mobile data when it is not needed. That spares me a full 4 days, and that's just on the s3. Imagine how long a note3 would last... (I'll know when my order finally arrives...)

Hey, for about one month i'm having this problem:
sometimes my screen goes on (I turn it on and then putt the phone down without locking it, or i'm getting a call and the phone screen turns on)
and never goes off, my timeout option is set to 30 seconds and the screen will stay on for hours if i won't turn it off manually.
A restart solves the problem but then after a while it comes back and stays until the next restart.
I tried greenfiying apps, tried reflashing (using Omega rom v35 on my i9509) and basically anything,
including wakelock detector and BetterBatteryStats but even after i leave the apps that shows in the top of the list the problem stays.
FYI i tried turning "Smart Stay" off, it doesn't help.
Does anyone has some solution?
Fullwiped your devise?

I think I just found what's causing it to happen,
Tried force closing apps and wait to see if the time out is fixed and when I got
To the "Peek" app the time out was fixed.
There's a big chance it's that app for two reasons:
1. This app is basically about turning screen on and off and it has administration rights.
2. That app is one of the first apps I install after a wide and a fresh rom installation.
I'll update here of the problem comes back,
Meantime I sent an email to the developer of the app.
Hope I helped someone,
Hi I try to explain my problem with my bad English.
I use the W03 Slim Kat. V25
1. When I put my Note in my pants pocket the Soft keys working ( vibration) every time without lights.
2. Gps Signal needs 10 Minutes to go
3. If I open the Screenlock the Brightness is still Dark, I have to open the Settings after this is ok.
I flash 3 times with dalvic and so on nothing will help.
But if I flash the fast and famous all will work but I have an another Problem : if I will use location every time the gps goes on. When I turn off gps the location goes off. Terrible..
Sorry for my English and maybe the wrong Forum and I hope you can help me.

I am having wireless performance issues and certain data not properly loading under partcular conditions like having Wifi and Mobile data turned on
at the same time, since I purchased the device last week Galaxy S6 Edge Plus.
Whenever this is happening, and also during reboot, I see a short message pop-up showing up
-- connecting to server -- sending report.
Whether good or bad, I prefer to turn off all reporting on application and OS at least those I am able to turn off easily on a un-rooted device.
I did this as well for this device, however, the reports continue to be sent at least once a day. Did someone else notice this and perhaps know what it is,
what data is sent and to whom? Or where can I look this up myself?
The pop-up only shows for a few sencond and then disappears without any hint to product or purpose.
The same here but can't find out what it is.
+1 really annoying

Everytime I turn the op2 off and later back on it doesn't reconnect to my Wifi. In the status bar it shows the WiFi icon with an exclamation mark. I have to turn of Wifi and turn back on to connect... This happens on all wifis.
Any help? Suggestion?

See if this works.
Go to settings - wifi - click on the dot menu and go to advanced. Make sure Keep Wi-fi on during sleep is selected to "Always"
This was on. As it is by default.
BUT turning it OFF solved the problem. Already tested 24 hours. Seems like when it has to do a full reconnect on screen on it works.
